I had originally scheduled a 90 minute massage and citrus peel facial. I was never told that I had to be there early to fill out so much paperwork, or I would have gladly come 15 minutes early. Since I wasn't told that, I arrived right on time, and I was told I couldn't go in until I filled out the two pages of information. I have been to many, many spas all across the country, and I can tell you that places that care about their customers and are truly successful with loyal customers are the ones who will sit with their clients and DISCUSS with them any issues, instead of having them fill out an impersonal, clinical paperwork or make them feel rushed. To top it off, what I did write on my paperwork was never discussed with me whatsoever, so what's the point? To make matters worse, as I was filling out this paperwork, I was being stared at, kind of like "Ugh, hurry up." Very uncomfortable and not relaxing whatsoever. There is also no place to relax beforehand, except for some freezing black pleather couches. When I asked if there was a locker and a robe, I was told "Yes, we have lockers, but you were late, so we need to get started. You can bring your clothes into the room". Let my politely repeat, I was exactly on time. Unbelieveable. To make matters worse, even though I had scheduled and confirmed a 90 minute massage, I was only given a 60. The massage was just meh. My massage therapist was just going through the motions, you could definitely tell it wasn't a joy for this person to give a massage. But wait, it gets much much worse. In all of my countless number of facials I have had, this was by far and away the worst facial I have EVER had. The aesthetician was extremely cold and impersonal, and very, very rough. A good facialist puts on your masks and scrubs slowly and deliberately with fingers or a brush, and makes it a relaxing experience. Kind of like a massage for the face, neck and shoulders. This facialist put the masks on so fast and was very rough and impersonal, it was like I was I washing my own face in the morning as I was late for work! Then she took off the masks with PAPER TOWELS. Finally, she squeezed my clogged poors with her nails. A trained facialist knows you never sqeeze pores, especially with her nails. You use tools. She pinched my face so hard, I still have marks on my face. I was though she was was rushing through it so she could go to lunch. Ugh, I just wanted it to be over. When it was finally over, she just walked me out and pointed me to the locker room. But I didn't need the locker room, because remember they didn't give me a locker, and instead made me carry around my clothes and shoes from room to room. When I did finally changed back to my clothes and walked out, there was no one there to greet me and give me water or walk me to the register (pretty standard stuff for a spa, right?). I have never had such an unpleasant experience at a spa in my life. I work hard and when I go to spend good money ($215 for the 60 minute massage and facial), I am not a high maintenance girl, but I would expect SOME kind of relaxation. I don't think that's too much to ask, is it?! Read Less
