Awful. I asked for a manicure. They cut and polished my nails poorly. Didn't ask what shape, clearly didn't follow the previous shape. No cuticle soak, no please was your hands now, No buffing file. He left chucks of polish under my nails, polish on my skin, all over not just my fingers. When I went to pay I heard $25 but was charged $30 by the 10 year old manning the desk. Avoid this place. After being a steady monthly customer for four years, I went in for a mani on the eve of my 30th anniversary. I was wearing five rings, which I removed and placed on the nail keeper At the end I forgot to put the rings back on and remembered when I was in the middle of another errand. I don't know why I keep going back to this place? I'm always disappointed. But its on my way home from work. I took off work early and got there by 4:30 &  I was told it would be a few minutes. 45 minutes later after having to ask how much longer they finally sat me in a spa chair and left me for another 10 minutes. Finally an older woman came over and didnt even say hello. She proceeded to do a very unrelaxing pedicure. Then someone else came over to finish my nails in the chair. I felt so rushed and left feeling as if I wish I never came. They were not using sterilized equipment and used an older scrub brush on my heel. I hope I don't get an infection! I came here today for a pedicure. Should've visited Yelp first. After waiting 10 minutes, they showed me to a foot bathtub that was empty and motioned for me to sit and place my feet in it. So I complied. The technician started some lukewarm to room temperature water running and then walked away. I sat there 20 minutes waiting for her to return. During that time I noticed random nail clippings and hairs on the edge of my foot tub. There was even one floating in the water. The towel had stains on it and there was some kind of yellow sludge around the drain. The sludge was the straw that broke the camel's back. I refuse to let a man touch my nails. (Sorry to be sexist, but on 3 prior occasions at different salons, men have brutalized my nails.) We made an appointment for the three of us for pedicures and asked for only women nail techs. These ladies were very detail-oriented and did an absolutely amazing job. Absolutely the best manicure and pedicure I've ever gotten! The entire staff was warm and friendly, my cuticles have never looked better, they did not rush me or my friend at all, AND the price was very reasonable! Please unless you are desperate do find another salon. Horrible job on my manicure. I had just left my farm. I had washed my hands but they was dirt under my nails. I wanted a set of gel nails. Only one person who could do them. They convinced me to get gel powder. The technician started doing it DURING my pedicure. WHAT?  She told me to sit still and pulled my arm to suit her. I had just had surgery and it was quite painful. She was doing a horrible job anyway so I told her to stop. They had to take the nails off they were so bad. Avoid this salon. PS it was filthy too!!! DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT go to this place. Aside from their poor attitudes, and terrible customer service, you will be lucky to leave with all of your fingers. The gel that was on my girlfriends nails from her last manicure made these ladies mad. God forbid, they actually have to work a little bit (to get quality products off). Obviously they're not used to people having quality products on their nails. My girlfriend called me 15 minutes after I dropped her off to come get her. She told me they spoke their foreign language the entire time she was in there and didn't acknowledge anything she said. She was made to feel very uncomfortable, and unwelcome...the irony is in their name. It should be called Unwelcome Nail and Spa. Not once was she smiled at or spoken to. Instead she was bossed around "go sit there, what you want? Dis no come off easy." The laughs between the employees made it obvious that they were laughing at her. Even when she tried to open a conversation, they ignored her comments and carried on with their foreign chat. Wow! I wouldnt recomend this place to even my enemy. They rushed, did a half way job and even after i complained to two of the folks who could "understand" me, they still charged full price. Rude staff, expensive pedicure, they are in a huge rush to get you out of the door, the insist on cash tips (presumably to avoid IRS) but when I said I didn't have cash they said I could add it to the receipt. I've visited this salon several times. I took a hiatus while I was pregnant and recently returned. I initially chose this business, because it's always easy to get in. Previously I received good quality service. The aestheticians are always nice, but my last two manicures and pedicures have not lasted a week. I typically get gel on my nails and regular polish on my toes. The gel quickly came off after about a week. The regular polish didn't last that long. I thought the first time was a fluke, so I gave them another try. Again, the polish has not lasted 5 days. The bottles say OPI, but I cannot believe that OPI doesn't last this long. I was in a hurry and quickly googled the closest place to get my nails done before an overseas trip. This salon did a good job with a gel manicure which last the expected 2 weeks. I only take one star off because the polish they used was pretty transparent and could absolutely have used another coat. When finished there were a few nails where I could still see my natural nail underneath. I was in a rush and I didn't feel the need to say anything, but I supposed the assumption would be the licensed technician should be aware of such deficiencies. The place was ok when recently open but has this bad odor coming out the pedicure tubs, the employes are not dressing professional and constantly consume food in the work area which It is very very unappealing, I personally saw one of the Chinese girls I think her name is Julie eating while picking at her toes In front on the customers her uniform "if you can call it that a uniforms " all full of old food stains it was just disgusting that someone like that have a jobin a place when all I want is relax in a clean environment And not. I have been coming here for a few years now, and I really like it. It's very clean and they also have nice equipment. As for their services, your results are going to vary depending on who you choose to go to. I only see Tao, bc I have had some less than great experiences with some of their other techs. I have decided that I would rather wait for a great job, than save time and go with another nail tech. She does a great pedicure, and a wonderful Shellac/gel manicure. This is your typical shopping center nail shop, but I really like Tao and the care that she takes with my services. I will continue to come to her and encourage others to try her as well. Read Less
