I have been to a few nail places here in Summerville, and Pinkies to Piggies is the last one I'll ever go to. The staff is so friendly and accomadating. They listen to what you want and do their best to make it happen. Christie is the nail technician that I had today and she was an absolute delight. She helped create a fun and relaxing experience and left my nails looking amazing. Kehtura (I know I spelled that wrong XD) was the first nail technician that I had. She was so friendly and patient. I had had a terrible acrylic job done by a salon I will never go to again and it took extra time to get my nails looking nice again. Tyna took me with super dry heels and a broken thumb nail. She fixed my thumb nail and did an awesome massage on my hands and feet even though I couldn't get a spa mani/pedi today. She also suggested the best colors! Love it. Everyone is super nice here! Read Less

I walked in a little after 3pm and was told to come back in 30 min due to it being so busy. Fine .... came back in 34 minutes and was looked at as if I was crazy. I did what they asked and was turned away (Closed at 5pm on Sundays) I'm sitting in the parking lot in front of the store while writing this review only to watch two women walk in, picking out colors for their pedicure. This was probably one of the worst salons I have ever been too. I will say the staff was extremely friendly, but their services have been the worst I have ever had. I went in for my eyebrows and manicure, but then decided why not. Let's go for a pedicure and chin wax. My eyebrows came out TERRIBLE. The worst I have ever seen them. Extremely uneven and too much hair was taken on one side so I have to fill my eyebrows in each day. I opted for a gel manicure. This was the first time I have done a gel manicure, but I was told it would last long. I went in 4 days ago and my nail polish is already coming in. Keep in mine I work a couple hours a day behind a desk. My nail polish shouldn't be chipping just yet. My pedicure wasn't as terrible but she didn't understand what a thin white French was. The white French takes half my nail. Lastly, I have never waxed my chin till this day. The person doing my chin went ALL the way down my neck. So one side of my neck was waxed. I freaked out and told her noooo. Only the chin. All in all, be very cautious when going in for any services. Unless you have had a specific person I wouldn't expirement. Read Less

After having a couple bad experiences else where, I finally found the perfect nail salon. Rachel is amazing! So talented and sweet. Everyone's so welcoming and nice. I love that they educate you and teach you things you never knew about nails and how things are supposed to be done. It's cute and cozy in the salon. I can't speak for the mani pedis, but Minh is the ONLY person I'd ever let touch my hair. I've been going to him for years now and he does an amazing job each time. Minh is a genius when it comes to hair. I was basically a white girl with an afro the first time I came to this spa. He performed the Japanese Hair Straightening technique on my hair and my hair suddenly was the best it had ever been since I was 10. Sounds like an exaggeration but I kid you not, he is CRAZY GOOD with hair. I never went to a salon before my first visit here but now whenever I have extra money, I come back to get my hair done. I was a little skeptical coming here for the first time today because of the recent reviews. However, all the reviews are complete opposite of my experience today.  For a walk in, I did not have to wait very long.  The staff was very friendly.  The atmosphere is nice and comfortable.  Annette did my regular pedicure ($25) and she did a fantastic job.  She was beyond great.  She really took care of my feet and had great techniques.  She did natural different techniques I've never seen done before.  Highly recommend this place and Annette.  Every customer that walked in was happy with their services.  Some were regulars as well.  The staff is very positive and listens to their customers as I observed and experienced.  Can't wait to go back.  Great price for the services provided.  Well worth it :) Read Less

Actually wish I could give them negative stars!  Had a full set of nails done and it was horrible!  The worst I've ever had.  I went back the next day and asked to have them fixed by another technician.  She did what appeared to be an ok job at best.  I didn't realize until after I left that the polish was cracking at the tips.  I was heading out of town and had no time to have them fixed.  Within 48 hours the gel polish was peeling off of several nails. I did not use any unusual products or soaps on my hands that could have caused  this.  I've had full sets done many times over the years and have never had an experience like this.  I will never return. Will never go here again. They were so rough with my pedicure, banged on my legs and ankles. I hurt when I left. Also, I ended up getting an ingrown toe nail because they cut the nail of my big toe down so far that it was bleeding before I left. It took weeks to wear covered toe shoes because my toe hurt so bad. Thank the Lord I like sandals. Will not be returning.Read Less

I've been coming here for years (since 2007) and Minh does an excellent job on my hair every time! I love the way he cuts hair, I don't ever go anywhere else! His coloring is great and he's very patient. Never rushes me out of the chair. The shop is very clean, nice atmosphere, all their tools are sanitized between each use. My sister Beth and I had our first visit to Pinkies to Piggies this morning for manis/pedis - I am so glad I did my homework and checked out several salons - I read nothing but glowing reviews and now I know why! Wonderfully cozy atmosphere, complete with snacks and coffee - but we all know that it really is the people who truly make a business a great business. We met Deb, Alicia, Jasmine and Julie and can vouch for how professional they are without sacrifcing a really personal touch. Didn't have a good first visit. Already could tell from the welcome I got. Lady told me to sit down and will get to me. Basically was waiting in not even warm water for like almost 10 minutes till she was ready. My feet were already itchy from the jets hitting my fee. I was already annoyed with the other tech ghetto talking so much to my technician throughout my whole pedi. The one talking so much was very rude to the asian male sitting in the corner....then you can tell from her tone of voice she was rude to the owner!  The tech I got was nice but the equipment she used was sharp to the point I thought I was gonna bleed...prob. not quality made...and can feel the sharpness around my cuticles. I expected more from the scrub ....my feet wasn't scrubbed good...just on the bottom...and didn't get some kind of exfoliant. There were like 10 pedi stations which was nice, but could of used more asian techs...overall, the price of a reg pedi ($25) wasn't worth it compared to other pedi's you get at an asian salon ($18-$20). I was hoping I would get a more upscale and high quality service...instead I got poor service, not so good cleaning....thought the cleaning would have gone faster had the techs not talk so much and paid attention to what they are doing. A terrible job was done on a simple manicure. The color was all on my cuticles and outside of the nails. Nothing was done when i showed how they looked because it was the owner who did my nails. OMG came here for root color and he kept touching my hair like he didn't know what to do with it I asked if we could get going and after he 'slapped' the color with no specific method on my hair he said under the dryer, I said that would make it permanent? He said yes I put permanent on ur hair I said I asked for a semi???!! He then said it ok I professional, he said the color would fade I said no it won't, I know my hair! I said it would grow out with a line he said ok I wash it out and you leave! Omg 45 mins to get here for an appt I needed for work the next day unreal!
