I was there on Mother's Day and was immediately served, the pedicure and the manicure went fine, until I checked my feet and Daniel did a half way job on scaling the dead skin, I pointed out the fact that he didn't do a complete job. He thought by putting some oil on my heels that would be satisfactory, it wasn't. I told him that my heels needed to be fixed, granted my toes were already polished. He had appointment waiting for him, and he saw that I wasn't leaving until the my feet were scaled. He finally understood and told me he would get to me but he needed to start his appointment, I said, fine, but I don't want to be here for 2 hours more. He did finally scale my heels and finally did a better job. It is just best to do it right the first time, and ask the customer no matter what shade their skin color is, I will return, but it will be awhile. Need more work on customer satisfaction. Read Less

I went this past Thursday only to find that the salon is under New Management, the 3rd turnover since a nail salon has opened at this location ... going to look for a more established nail salon ... the convenience of the location is not working to my favor. This is the only nail salon I will go to in Chesapeake. Since moving here in July 2016, I have tried all of the nail salons on Cedar and the surrounding areas. Most of them rush, use inferior products, charge too much, or have dirty or strange things afoot (one guy had DOG beds in the pedicure baths!). However, at Ken Nails, Holly takes her time to get your nails right, and the entire staff is professional. They have an impeccably clean salon, too. Read Less

**good for eye brow waxing NOT PEDICURES** I normally always go to Ken Nails for my eye brows, their location is convenient and the do a good job, but recently I got my first pedicure there and was extremely dissatisfied. The woman who helped me kept diging at my toe as if there was something there and it hurt! She kept going for several minutes and I felt uncomfortable saying anything. Then after I thought she was done and we got to the relaxing part she went back again and kept picking! It was one of the worst pedicures ive had. THEN one of my other toe nails felt like it was going to fall off in my work shoe the next day! I've had toe nails fall off before and I thought for sure this one was a gonner. Even though it didn't fall off I couldn't wear my normal work shoes for three days and when I finally was able to come in to explain this nightmare to the manager, he refused any refund or compensation. Don't waste your time coming here. The selection of nail Polish isn't the greatest not to mention most of it is old and dried out. As I sit here in the chair right now they're adding loads of acetone just to keep it from clumping. Not the greatest place at all. Their waxing station is a joke too. Just came to VA on a road job from ct. Working in the shipyard. Broke 2 nails already and needed them fixed for my weekend off with my man. Took a chance on Ken's Nails because they had great reviews. So glad I did. Literally just walked out of there. Holly was so nice and informative. Got powder gel and mood change shellac. Love the way they change colors and look ombre. She was really sweet and took her time to make sure I liked them as we went along. Give this place a try and you won't regret it .Read Less

Came in for a pedicure and waited for 40ish mins (with multiple employees telling me it would only be 3 more mins wait). I noticed that customers did not each have their own nail tech (they were switching back and forth between customers, like one of the reviewers above mentioned). Finally they had a "spot" for me, but no nail techs left (since most had 2 or more customers already). Gave up! Tried Lady Nails down the street. They were awesome, should have just gone there from the start!!! Read Less
