No No No.  I have tried this place 2 x and both times have left disappointed, esp the 2nd time.   I so want to like this place bc it is a few min from where I live & cheaper than where I used to get my nails done.  The person I got the 2nd time did such a sloppy job, cut corners everywhere & basically pushed me out the door leaving me to finish drying my nail polish using my car ac.  She finished both my manicure & pedicure in about 30 minutes.  She also asked me several personal questions; I didn't feel comfortable sharing my personal life w a total stranger.  I will gladly drive 20 min to get a proper manicure/pedicure I am happy with. It's hard for me find a good place that does durable acrylic nails because when I go and explore other places my nails usually break by the second day. Probably the worst mani pedi I have ever gotten.  The lady that helped me out did a decent job with the pedicure, but was not very good at painting either my toes and fingers.  She messed up on three toes and I asked her to please fix them.  She managed to put more color on the big toes on top of the paint that was messed up and it ended up looking like a big blob of paint of both my big toes.  I asked her to redo them and noticed she skipped the base coat completely...which I decided to overlook.  Should have went with my gut instinct and not proceeded with the mani, but I got it done too.  She bumped my right middle finger after the first coat and then she proceeded to the second and the blub was noticeable.  When she did the top coat she bumped the same finger again and seemed to blame me and asked me to keep my fingers away...I was staying perfectly still.  She removed the paint on said finger and then picked up the nail polish and I asked her at this point "are you not going to put base coat on".  After me pointing this out, she base coated and painted the finger.  At the end of the mani, I am looking down at my fingers in the drying booth and noticed some extra paint on my thumb on the skin and I asked her to remove the paint on the skin.  She got a cuticle nipper and cut it off and nicked my nail polish at the edge. I went to pay for my services and the owner or manager asked if everything was ok and she noticed me looking at the defect on my polish and said that the lady who helped me out could fix it, but by this time I already figured out that she is not good with painting nails and said it was ok. The lady who helped me out stated that it was $42 for the mani and pedi and I asked why knowing that it should have been $37.  She started punching numbers on the calculator and said that the heel scrubbing with the cheese grater looking instrument was another $5 which I wasn't told that it was extra at the time of service.  Maybe this establishment should list their prices upfront, so that it is transparent to all.  Needless to say I did not tip for bad service. From time to time I find it soothing to sit in a chair and soak my feet in warm water while skilled hands care after my calves and feet.Passion Nail Spa is located in a small strip mall off of route 29 in Centreville, VA. I hadn't visited this establishment before, but I sauntered in hoping for a pedicure. It was not quite mid-afternoon and the salon was assisting a half dozen customers.I was greeted politely and asked to wait a few minutes for the pedicure. I hopped onto one of the salon chairs in the rear for the pedicure service after waiting 10 minutes or so. The service here is executed most efficiently and I certainly didn't feel that it was rushed. Some notables:- Clean and organized inside- The pedicure chairs are outfitted with back massage controls- Walk-ins are welcome!- Both manicures and pedicures are available here- There is a storefront parking lot shared by many establishments- Both credit cards and cash are accepted as forms of paymentI also opted for a manicure and was fortunate to have had it done by the owner | manager. She was hamming it up while discussing food and life. The entire establishment was filled with jovial laughter as the store associates bantered back and forth.I left with a soothing feeling in my calves and feet and I'll be back again for certain! This is my mom's spot so when I'm home I'll go with her. It's ok I guess. This last time, they gentleman who did my no chip and pedi did a good job. My mom's tech on the other hand was awful, just awful. I felt bad for my mom too because this is the place where they know her and everything. Her go to person was busy tho and this other lady seemed sweet but she was bad. First of all, my mom's massage chair was broken. Instead of admitting that it was broken and just moving her, they kept fiddling with it and saying it just had a softer massage. Umm, ok. But my mom wants more so move her. They instead say that once her pedi is DONE she can move to another chair to get the massage. Like what? Why would she want to just sit there AFTER the service is done? As if that wasn't bad enough, her tech was just mad annoying. She kept trying to be chatty but really just kept repeating the same thing over and over and showing me how good of a job she was doing on my mom's nails. Ehhhhhhh. In a pinch this place does an OK job, but I was not pleased with the quality of my nails when I left. There was polish on the skin of a few of my toes, and my sister had to have an entire toe repainted because of a big smudge. As we were examining the issue, an ant walked across the floor. Tried really hard to like this place. Went the first time and had the manager, Hannah, do my nails. She was nice and friendly during the fist visit, and informed me that she will give me a discount if I did my nails and other service done the next time I came it. So a week later I returned to do both my nails AND eyebrows done. I had another lady do my nails and eyebrows and I told her about the discount. The lady (didn't get her name) went and talked to the manager, Hannah, and came back later to tell me that the discount would ONLY apply if I got the gel nails and other service done. I still got my nails and eyebrows done anyways. I came back a few more times afterwards and asked to have my nails painted and my ring finger painted with glitter. The lady went back and asked Hannah, and Hannah told her that they will charge extra for the glitter ring finger painted. At this point I was getting tired of all the extra little charges that Hannah kept making up and charging. I have been to several other nail salons and NEVER got charged extra for the ONE ring finger painted with glitter. C'mon it's ONE finger!!! This place is a rip off, they charge you for EVERY little thing. Seems like the employees are "scared" of Hannah and have to ask her about everything. It's very obvious that they talk about their customers in their Vietnamese language in FRONT of the customer.  Customer service is very very poor. I will not be returning to this place in the future. I came in today for a gel manicure with a friend and made an appointment for both of us.  Being the Sunday after Thanksgiving, they were totally empty and we were seated right away.     I have very long natural nails and needed my previous gel manicure removed before getting started.  The person doing my nails was rough with the filing, so much so that I thought my nails would break.  She also proceeded to talk loudly with her coworkers for much of the manicure.  Four of my nails were filed crooked which I brought to her attention.  The paint job was messy in the corners of my nails and around my cuticles.  My friend left with her nails filed to varying lengths and with a polish color she didn't want (after asking for a different color).  Overall, it was a pretty bad experience and I won't be returning. This nail salon was great. It was my first time here and I am so happy I decided to stop in. I am always hesitant to try a new nail salon. This was worth it. Terry (a male) did my pedicure and gel manicure. His foot massage was amazing, and he worked so fast, I was finished with everything in a little over an hour. He was very friendly and even helped me pick out a new color that he thought matched what I wanted. I also wanted a fun color for my run finger, and he picked out a great glitter top coat. I walked in last Saturday afternoon and was lucky to get Lina as my nail technician. She's patient and careful. The only therapist so far who bothered to use a brush to remove minute traces of stray nail varnish from around the nails. TBH, after a few really painful experiences at various nail salons in VA, I was nervous when I walked in but was pleasantly surprised to walk out without hurting fingers & toes from overzealous cuticle removal....one therapist even scraped off some skin from my heel with the foot file. So far, in this new neighborhood, this place is the best so far! I walked in around 330pm and got out at 430 for a basic mani/pedi. I asked Julie to dig out my in Browns which she did very well and even though the massage was a bit short (2 mins on each leg), it was very stimulating and pressure was great! What I loved the most is the mani. I don't get color often on my nails so a great mani is a must! No cuticles, no uneven filing, and no dirt under the nails. And I loved that Julie was quick! One of the reasons I don't get color is bc I'm too impatient to sit through the drying!! So the fact that Julie did a perfect job on the nails and did it pretty quickly is impressive.So for the finale- my total bill was $37!!!!! Super affordable! Read Less
