I got my nails done at Bella nails a couple of months ago, I ended up with ugly thick pink nails (they didn’t have any other good colors, poor variety of gel colors) I decided to give them another try and got a pedicure here. After a little while I noticed the technicians were talking about me and my friend and laughing which made me extremely uncomfortable. My friend’s pedicure started ten minutes before mine but yet my technician finished before then, she skipped some steps and I did not enjoy this experience at all. I've been to this salon twice recently for a dip powder manicure and I was disappointed both times. Allow me to elaborate: The first time I went, the technician doing my nails put way too many coats of powder on my nails, making them look goopy, even when solidified. She messed them up so badly that another nail technician had to step in and fix them. While the other technician was fixing my nails, she had a conversation with the original technician in a different language and it honestly felt like they were talking about me, making me very uncomfortable. The first technician also filed the skin on my nail so much that I started bleeding, despite my repeated complaints that she was hurting me. Do you know how much you have to file someone's skin to the point of making them bleed? Let me tell you - it's alot. I was still asked to pay $55 for the service. Willing to give Bella another chance and thinking I would be ok if I had a different technician, I went back about 3 weeks later. They were very busy when I came in and they told me it would be a 15 minute wait. I ended up waiting about 45 mins to be seen. I'm fine with waiting, but give me an accurate estimate so I don't have unrealistic expectations. I was finally sat with a technician, but then I was bounced to 3 other technicians before someone actually started working on my nails. I didn't get his name, but the technician who worked on my nails rushed through my manicure (I think he had an appointment coming soon after me) and left me with nails that weren't straight and a little goopy (not as bad as the first time though). He also used unclean tools (i.e. used on other people). I was charged $45 for this service. After two unsatisfactory visits, i won't give this place a third try and neither should you. Read Less

Traffic can be crazy in the DMV area. I came into this nail solan to get an mani and pedi to spare traffic time. I was shock to see how friendly & kind Customer Service treated myself and others clients. Walking in...staff would greet and welcome you with a smile. Plus bonus: staff Offer coffee/tea & water bottles. Place is very clean and organize. Even when it can get busy. They do a GREAT job!!! Totally WORTH the wait. I do not recommend this place AT ALL!!! First of all the ladies that do your nails are so rude, they keep screaming at you to relax your hand, I understand I need to but they could be nicer and just politely ask but no they yell at you, second of all after the lady finish shaping the nails I stated the fact that one of them was not shaped correctly and she just yelled at my face and told me that she wasn't done, and at the end she didn't even fix it it end it up badly shaped. Then 2 nails broke within a week of getting them done! I wasn't even doing anything to break them they just broke and I didn't even noticed when I just looked at my hand and they were gone. This was my first time visiting this location and I think may be my last. This gel mani is only 4 days old and is already beginning to chip. Not good.. I went here because my place was busy and I needed a walk in appt and Bella was able to take me right away (a plus). I had a pedicure and a gel fill in with designs. As soon as I sat down in the pedicure chair, two of the employees were speaking loudly, laughing and looking in my direction. I realize that's weird to say, but true- they were right in front of me. No one next to me. And I'm a fairly average looking person. I couldn't tell what they were saying, and although I don't normally consider myself paranoid, it made me feel uncomfortable to say the least. I mean, what's the deal? Stop staring. Or stop chattering. It's rude. Then, when it came time for the fill in, the manicurist was irritated that I wanted designs. However I told her this as soon as I arrived. Her mood became less intense as time went on, but initially I felt a little guilty for my request! Also the fill in itself was not smooth all over. A few fingers are "wavy", and less than a week later the fill is peeling up from the cuticle.The reason for two stars.. the walk in factor, bottle of water offered right away, and the place was clean. This place has some good reviews so maybe I caught it on a bad day, but there are too many other choices in the area. So the first time I came to this place the woman took a long time on my nails I had to come back to get a nail fixed because it started to lift three days later. I only decided to get services a second  time because their customer service was excellent and everyone was very nice and concerned when I came in about my nail issue also I'm new to the area, this place is close to where I live and what are the chances of two technicians in the same shop doing a poor job. It was a week and 3 days after the second visit I had about 4 nails lifting some actually bending to the point where they could just be ripped off. Jenny did my nails years ago at another salon and it was such a treat to walk into Bella and find her as the Manager.  What a treasure they have in her!  The Salon is clean and well organized and all the techs work together to make sure the clients are happy with the service they requested.  I am a new SNS nail client and love them!  Much healthier for my nails and they last longer with no chipping or fading of the color. Came to get my nails done for my best friends wedding. Having lived in Centreville for so many years, I didn't know that this hidden gem existed! The service was excellent and the salon was very clean. The nail technicians surprised the bride with chocolates, a tiara, and balloons! Helen was the nail technician working with me. Excellent customer service! Everyone here are so friendly and sweet! Mai (May) did an awesome job with my nails. I didn't feel like she was rushing at all and she was so meticulous and detail-oriented with everything! They have powder, called SNS which is a whole lot healthier and better for our nails. Although it is a little bit more pricey, I personally think it is worth every buck because our nails are a part of our body and they deserve healthy products as well!My nails look so natural, the color looks beautiful. OMG! Jenny, the manager, and the whole staff is amazing. I've only been here about 2-3 times and when I booked an appointment for me and my bridal party, she surprised me with a tiara, chocolates, and balloons! A nail salon does not get sweeter than this!!! Their whole staff is super talented and skilled, I tried their SNS pink and white manicure and Linh did a flawless job. SNS does not require UV light and it's all powder based. Healthier than acrylic or gel.  All of my girls loved their nails as well. The whole staff always makes sure to stay late, even after their closing hours if you ever come in later. And always offers to take care of me if my nails ever mess up! I went here once for an emergency fill in manicure. The lady kept nicking me when using the drill. It was the most painful thing. I am someone who gets manicures often, but Ive never experienced anything like that. By time I left my skin was bleeding underneath my nail. I will never go here again. Read Less

Bella Nails has new management and it is incredible! I love Jenny who has always been helpful and kind each visit. They offer eyelash extensions which are amazing! I get compliements on them all the time and my natural, short eyelashes are intact underneath. Call ahead isn't necessary, but if you want to see a specific person you definetly should! Read Less

I decided to give this place a try upon reading all of the reviews, and was very satisfied with the service I've received. I was greeted warmly by the new owner Jenny and she helped me with the nail color selections. The place looks clean and sanitary. The pedicure tubs are all lined with disposable plastic. The remote for the chair wrapped in saran wrap. I appreciated the fact that the manicurist did not talk to their co-workers in Vietnamese completely ignoring you. Tina who did my nails was very attentive. My only suggestion the water to soak your hands and feet should at least be lukewarm, and set up the chairs for massage action. Read Less

This was my first time going to this place. The manager was very friendly. She introduced herself,asked our names and brought us cold water bottles which was nice. I would say the service was good. I got a pedicure, the basic one is $25, but I upgraded to the $35 option. The description said that it included a "salt scrub and extra 10 foot minute massage". Sounded like a good deal just for the extra massage. Well I looked at my phone when she started rubbing my feet and when she stopped. It was a total of 7 minutes, not 10. And I assume that when they wrote "extra" it meant in addition to the normal massage time so I was expecting something around 13-14 minutes. I would not advise paying the $10 next time.
