My first visit to Allure nails was not impressive. I had heard some hype and read some Yelp reviews. I expected a better experience.On the positive side, it is very clean and has a wide variety of colors and various services. I was impressed by the warm welcoming environment. That is kind of where my positive impression ended. My best friend treated me to a gel manicure. She wanted to get me hooked on Allure's services as she said she had some really great experiences. Trying a simple gel manicure is a good way to get a feel for the salon. I am picky about my pedicures, so I like to get a feel for the salon first. I love gel manicures and how long they usually last. They had a nice selection of colors. I chose my color and followed the nail tech back.  She was very quiet, which isn't necessarily a negative. I am just accustomed to some small talk. My nails were OK. She wasn't very thorough. There were hang nails, one nail wasn't smooth on the end and was catching the fabric of my coat after I left. I had some clear coat on the underside of one of my fingers, which I thought was odd. It was hard to get it off. My thumb nail chipped within two days of application. I was less than impressed. I thought the little shoulder massage was a nice touch, but I found it to be a bit uncomfortable. Even the arm and hand massage was rather rough. I wasn't given the paraffin dip, like my friend. I am not sure what I did to offend the tech, so that she rushed and then forgot the last bit. My friend offered to find her so that she could do it, but by that point I was already not thrilled. My daughter and I have been going to Allure Nail Bar in Burke for many months now and have been pleased.  However, today my teenage daughter went in to have a full acrylic set put on her nails.  Vincent did the acrylics.  They are nothing short of horrible.  She asked for coffin shaped nails. Each nail is a different shape.  Some are wider, some not.  The nails on one hand are longer than the other hand.  And the acrylic on some of the nails is extremely thick.  This is extremely disappointing.  They are so bad that my daughter is going to remove them.Allure Nail Bar has lost us as customers. I love this nail place. I have been going here every month for the last 4 months to have the SNS power nail manicure, my nails started so short and weak and the nails you see in this picture are all mine! Vincent took great care of me this week, and used my special nail crystals for my birthday. I could not say enough good stuff about this place.I've also had a pedicure here with my mom, again the room is so relaxing and the people working here are so pleasant, if a little quiet. I went to Allure Nail Bar for the first time today. Let me start with the positive as there are many; first the salon is very clean in appearance, the pedicure area is dimly lit...perfect for relaxing, the nail technician I had was wonderful and by far this was the best reflexology pedicure I have ever gotten. Now the negative and for me this almost cancels out all of the positive....there was a male nail technician working in the manicure area who was clearly ill. I mean, very ill. In the hour and a half I was there he stopped working on his client(s) at least 4 times to come back to the restroom where you could hear him hacking and puking (not the most relaxing sounds while getting a pedicure). He wore a face mask the entire time he was giving a manicure but would remove it every time he walked back to the bathroom; he looked sweaty and feverish. I'm no doctor...but he looked like he had flu or some other funky crud where really he had no business being at work and exposing the patrons. He was hacking into his hands which were ungloved and giving manicures....appreciate the face mask but that doesn't cut it. This likely would have been a 5 start rating; the manager/owner should do a better job of ensuring the safety of his workers as well as his patrons. Read Less

I've been here a few times now and have had mostly good experiences but the most recent time was great! I went in intending to just get a pedicure which I usually do, but decided at the last minute to also get a manicure. Holly helped me and she's awesome! She was very thorough and meticulous, which I appreciate. This was also the first time I got a manicure here so I was pleasantly surprised when she brought me over for a paraffin wax treatment and then gave me a shoulder massage. And this was part of the regular manicure! There are definitely cheaper nail salons around but the overall experience here is lovely. I have been going here for about 5 months. I have always had superior service by Katie. She always listens to what I am asking for. She is very attentive to my response ( if I feel uncomfortable about something or I want to make a last minute change...) Her pedicures leave me walking on air when she is done. Very clean and relaxing environment with a very accommodating staff. You can't get any better than Ken when it comes to getting an SNS manicure. He's efficient, but precise, and you can tell that he really knows what he's doing. They have a wide selection of SNS, gel and regular nail colors, so whatever color you're looking (or whatever color you didn't even know you needed), they will definitely have it. My reviews consist of....restaurants and nail salons. Ha. Nails are something I am absolutely super meticulous about. I notice every detail. I live nearby so I always passed this place and thought I'll go there one day. Well that day was last Friday. I got a gel mani. Very run of the mill stuff. At first, I was kind of scared since I had never been here. But the quality of the manicure was perfect. It's so nice to have your hands done to your taste without getting any attitude or finding any flaws. One thing I will say is that the price was around $44 which in my opinion is on the high side. THIS PLACE IS UNREAL!!! Not sure why it only has 4.5 stars. Kenny did my nails with tips and the SNS powder and I am beyond happy!!!!! My nails have never looked better in my life. They look like sea glass. They are thin and natural and gorgeous and oh so shiny!. He was fast and I even got a massage right before I got the final coat of clear coat. You MUST try the SNS nails! No smell, no UVA light. Its cry how good they look The also give a two-week guarantee if anything happens to your nails to come back and they will fix them. I heard about this place from a friend who went in for the SNS technique they do. I've been searching for a new salon since moving, it looked nice online so I decided to try it out. I have sensitive nails so I went with Gel, as usual. Gel should ALWAYS last at least 1 full week. If they are done well it should last 2 full weeks. Mine did not. I was so so disappointed because I did them on Saturday, July 29 only for them to Chip on the following THURSDAY, the day I arrived at my vacation destination. Of course my other fingers soon followed and I had ugly nails my whole trip. Their Gel price is higher than most places, and I have never had gel nails not last at least two weeks without chipping. I have a desk job by the way so it wasn't my fault. While I was getting my nails done, although my nail technician was very nice, soon after I sat down, a man (maybe the owner?) came over to tell her that her regular client had arrived (I had an appointment at 11:00 and arrived a few min early) she started to really rush the initial part and then slowed down when it came to the color. Thy rushed through my pedicure and failed to provide a relaxing environment. She scrubbed the bottom of my feet for all of 30 seconds and didn't seem to care at all when she failed to remove my calluses/dead skin. When I asked her if she could remove them, her response was to tell me TWICE that "I should have asked her before my pedicure." Isn't that a part of the pedicure? I didn't know if they would come off, but I gladly would have paid extra to have it done the right way the first time. Who leaves that on your feet and doesn't even ASK if I wanted to pay extra to have it removed? Not worth the $. Also, her massage was jerky and not relaxing. Make an appointment and don't be late!If you made the appointment 24 hrs earlier then call the day of to check in. Edit correction! According to the manager and camera screen shots she provided I arrived at 4:17 and left at 4:32, that only makes it a 15 minute wait instead of 20 minutes.  I was asked to wait 15 mins while one of the employees walked around to find someone/anyone who could accommodate me. Total wait time would've been 30 minutes. I also lost my spot (even if the nail tech I made an appointment with was absent) since I was late - Acceptable reason.**********************Love love loved this place.But they need to be more on point with appointments. It's supposed to be a high end nail salon with exorbitant prices so, they should have a receptionist that manages the appointment book.  We make appointments for a reason! Left work early for a 4 pm appointment, waited for 20 mins, checked in with two people only to find out that the person I have my appointment with called out.  They should've called to inform me of the situation at the very least. To accommodate me they had asked me to wait another 15 mins.  At this point I would have been there a total of 45 mins plus my drive time of 30 mins.  No way am I wasting  more time.Shame... Allure Nail Bar is amazing! I throughly enjoyed the clean, relaxing, and kind environment. I love that there is a wide selection of high quality nail polish. One of my favorite things is that they have a section of nail polish colors where they have the matching gel-the best! The coffee, tea and water mini bar is nice too.Cindy is my go-to person. She is focused, detailed and somehow manages to give me mani/pedis that last over 3wks. She takes her time taking all the cuticle away and is very gentle. I was on a tight schedule, so I explained that if they couldn't take me in the next 20 min, I would have to go. A man said he could start me and took my acrylics off. This was my first time here. I was impressed by the relaxing atmosphere and minimal chemical smell. Cindy preformed both my manicure and pedicure. I opted for the classic ($32) with the added callous package ($10) for my pedicure. The pedicure was nice, and when Cindy said she was finished, I asked her to buff my nails since I don't have them polished. She said she would but it would be an up-charge. Meanwhile, a man whom I believe was the manager, overheard me asking and agreed to do the buffing at no extra cost since I was obviously having my toenails painted. I was very appreciative of this and it made sense since there was no discount for not having them polished. I was very pleased with my pedicure. Cindy paid a lot of attention to detail. But the manicure -- it was a disappointment to say the least. This is why I am only giving the review a 3 and not 4 stars. Unfortunately, Cindy paid minimal attention to detail. When I left, I still had dirt under my nails, and the skin around my cuticles was still very visible. At the end, Cindy asked if I would like my nails buffed, and I did. When I was paying the bill, I was taken surprised by the added $5 for buffing my fingernails. I thought the same policy applied whether it was my fingers or toes. Cindy did not notify me of this up-charge when she asked about my fingers, and the manager was no longer there to ask either. I understand it was just $5, but it was the principal. They suggested different types of services - each getting upgraded based on type of massage and duration on legs with pedicure... we opted for the basic.nicely priced and clean, other than the massage chairs only having 1 setting ( I couldn't seem to change it the way I wanted)it was pretty good. As I sit soaking for my pedi, I am reminded that a review is overdue.  Thanks for my local neighborhood FB page I was so anxious to try out this new place.  I also made a last minute appt with Tina who was also mentioned in the glowing posts.The place is so cool, located in the Wells Fargo and Safeway shopping center. There are about 14 pedi chairs located in a nice serene back area.  The mani space is in the front with wide open windows.  They offer water, tea and soda. Tina was fantastic!  She knew her stuff, took her time with my pedi and was meticulous when it came to the whole process.  I like how they put a new cover in the pedi bowl between each client. I also like to get a few nail designs for my fingers and toes!  Tina was an expert!  I could tell she knew exactly what she was doing.  I loved my white colors.Fast forwarding to my next appt which is about 4 weeks later....
