The first time I went to Salon 700 I had a wonderful experience with Lauren as my stylist. She washed, cut, and styled my short hair beautifully and efficiently in under 30 minutes. This time however I was scheduled with Stephanie and planned to come in for the same service. I was about five minutes late for my appointment and apologized at the door before asking if I could use their restroom. After I came out Stephanie very rudely said she did not have enough time to wash and cut my hair so she could either cut it dry or wash and cut but not blowdry. She would not style it regardless. Given that I have short fine hair and Lauren was able to do all of that last time in less than 30 minutes told me that Stephanie did not care about customer service or my hair so I asked to cancel my appointment. Stephanie was extremely rude and showed me out yelling "have a nice day" as I walked out. She did this in front of multiple other customers as well. I would have understood if she would have explained that she had somewhere to go or acted more apologetic but she was aggressive and rude. I feel as if Stephanie took advantage of me, being a college aged girl, as a chance to head home early. Whatever you do don't request Stephanie as a stylist as she clearly does not know how to work with customers or be a civil human being, so I would not trust her to be a talented hair stylist either. I was very pleased with my visit. They fit me in even though I called the morning of and they were booked for a wedding, they still found time to squeeze me in. I got an updo for a wedding and not a single strand fell from the appointment time of 12:45 to the end of the reception at 8, and it even lasted through much dancing. She made my hair look full and styled it just how I wanted, I would definitely recommend! Read Less

I've had my hair cut here several times and I find the service to be inconsistent- it all depends on who the stylist is. Most recently I found the appointment to be rushed and there was poor communication between the stylist and myself. Overall the cut was shorter than I wanted, and the layers were partially uneven. I wouldn't recommend this place for people with non-straight hair who don't plan to straighten or style it. Read Less

I have had my hair cut at Studio 700 a few times, but the past two visits have been unacceptable. On both occasions, two (different!) hairdressers have cut my low key, side swept bangs extremely short. One stylist is no longer there, but one is. Both stylists have also left parts of my hair uncut and at an awkward length (in my bangs, how do you miss that?). Now I finish my last semester and go through some upcoming job interviews looking like a little Amish boy. I will absolutely NOT be returning. Go next door to Great Clips, then get a beer at 622 afterward, and you'll save money and have a much better time. Read Less

They gave me an appointment for just two days after I called, which I was very happy about. However, I was 10 minutes late because of bus troubles. I called the front desk and they said it was fine, but when I got there they made me feel bad for wasting their time. They said they now only had time to do half of my highlights, which didn't really make sense because again, I was only ten minutes late! At other salons I've been to they take that long just to consult with me to find exactly what I want. There wasn't much of a conversation at all and it didn't seem like I was being listened to.My hair was then colored and another woman washed my hair, and then left me for a few minutes while my stylist was doing something else. I realized that my stylist was doing another client's color and cut, even though I was only 30 minutes into my appointment. I didn't really mind because I had made such a last minute appointment, but I was left at the sink with a cramping neck and water dripping down my shirt for 15 minutes! I noticed that other stylists also had multiple customers at once, which for such an important and personal service was very concerning for me. If I do return here, it would only be for the prices.
