This place is terrible!  Took my daughter for a full set of acrylics and brows waxed before school starts Thursday.  Her full set took only 30 minutes to day and looks horrible.  The guy never asked her how long or what shape she wanted her nails.  The polish looks terrible too, missed areas and is chipping in spots after only 2 hours.  But the worst thing is they burned her eye kids with the hot wax on both eyes! Terrible experience! Got a pedicure put my feet in the water and it was so hot I thought it was ice cold. When the pain finally hit my brain I quickly threw my feet out of the water while I yelled in pain. I've been getting pedicures for 12 years and never had this happen before. Had a gel French manicure and classic pedicure done. The manicure looks fantastic and he did an amazing job cleaning up my cuticles as they really needed it! The pedicure was great he did a wonderful job cleaning up the shape of my nails. The only small issue I had was the paint was a touch messy, but I have very very small toenails so I can imagine it was little difficult! My feet feel soft and pampered and my hands look beautiful. Found my new spot! I came across this salon through my boyfriend who finally got his cuticles taken care of after my nagging. It was a convenient location for him but what convinced me was his pleasant experience and the expert attention the technicians were giving. I had been looking for a salon that could do the "ombré French manicure" effect, and they happened to be the only salon I sound with an airbrush machine! After reading a few reviews, I made an appointment with David who BY FAR is THE BEST. He's detailed and attentive to his work and likes to get to know his clients. He also hums often, which I rarely even realize he's doing. In general, the salon is clean and aesthetically pleasing. For pedicures, they use sanitized, bagged cuticle cutters and similar tools. The nail polish variety is pretty good, but not amazing. The selection for gel polishes is better than regular polishes. Appointments are definitely preferred, as they're almost always decently busy. If it's not packed, I'm usually one of a few clients. I highly recommend this place and asking for David! Read Less

LOVE this salon!! David is my favorite nail tech and he really knows what he's doing! Been getting acrylic for years but he persuaded me to use gel instead and my nails look very natural and even less maintenance!   The whole spa is lovely, very relaxing and the best chairs in the business!I don't have any other particular tech to recommend, but so take advantage of their spa pedicures! Very generous for the going rate (approx $35+) and the ladies there really want you to enjoy so just lay back and let them unwind you!! Read Less

I'm SO shocked that someone could have a bad experience here! This place is amazing. I've been getting massages and pedicures from this place for the last few years. And I must say I'm very impressed. Kathy is my go to girl.. She's really nice and super sweet. She takes the relaxation to a whole other level. Came in for a basic pedicure and enjoyed the experience. I started to wonder a bit after getting plastic bags full of hot stuff put on my feet, but apparently that's included. It was a gentleman who did mine, but I didn't catch his name. The only thing I thought was negative was the staff speaking to each other in a language other than English. Today was my second time there and I will not be going back. They open at 10 and I had a 10 appt. My nail tech was 20 min late. He never apologized but just said thank you for waiting. I had a pedicure and gel fills with shellac polish. My toe nails are uneven and different shapes. After I left and got out to my car I noticed he did something wrong on one of my thumbs so I had to go back. Plus he also was texting when he was suppose to be doing my nails. Not great Read Less

i just got my nails done here by Holly. I was a little annoyed at first because she wasn't talking to me and i was just sitting there, but then we got to talking and she's only been in the states for a year and her english is catching up.  We then spent the rest of the time with her teaching me vietnamese words which was a lot of fun.Holly did well, very gentle and professional.  The paint job is a little lacking in some corners of my nails, but i can live with that.The shop was very clean and and relaxing and the price for getting my nails done ($16) was perfect. I've been waiting to see when this business was available on Yelp to write a review.  I frequent here, and I have been to most of the salons around Ashburn and Sterling.  The chairs are nice massage chairs - they work and actually feel good.  The atmosphere is nice and the technician's all seem to be pretty good.  Very clean.  Pedi/mani's include Parafin, great attention to detail, and long massages (and the occasional back and shoulder massage during manicures). Gel lacquer mani fans...they have Shellac.  The wax rooms are nice and spotless.  It seems to have good space for large parties too (I think there is a tiny/decor bar in the corner).  They also have 4 adorable kiddy size pedi chairs - I don't have kids, but think that's a nice touch.  Good place, you'll enjoy yourself, and go back. I feel like nail salons are a dime a dozen out here in the suburbs, but 9 out of 10 times they are unsanitary, filled with employees who are rude and don't speak a lick of English, and do a horrific job on your nails. Thankfully, BTDS opened a little over a year ago and fills the gaps these others places create. The place is spotless - I mean really, really clean. The technicians are friendly and NOT pushy at ALL. I hate going into a nail salon only to get upsold on stuff I'd never want in the first place. They've got a wide range of services, including massages and hair services (though I've never actually partaken in the latter). They even have cute little kid-sized chairs for those days when you actually want to bring your tyke with you to get their toenails did. :)I love this place and won't patronize anywhere else in the Ashburn area.
