I am pretty new to the area. i was on a group page for the area and someone suggested to one of the ladies to get a fish pedi here. i found the idea intriguing and suggested it to a friend who also just moves here. Boy am i happy i did. I have now come her four times and every time it makes me happy. the salon is clean and something that really makes me happy is i don't feel there is any in house drama that you can see in some-other salons after going a couple times. the whole staff is friendly I really love Christina she makes you feel so welcome and Danny has done my nails all the times i have been here and not let me down. i have since brought my neighbor and she loves it as well. I've been coming to see Yvonne for about 6 months for my hair and I LOVE the results. This is my second time getting highlights from her and she matches the color perfectly with the rest of my hair and my skin tone. Yvonne day spa never disappoints! Today I had the signature pedicure with callus removal and my feet feel refreshed and smooth, ready for summer. I've had my nails done here before and again I was so happy with the results! My color lasted three weeks, perfect for the long vacation I was going on. They always ask if you'd like something to snack on or drink which is a nice personalized touch! Friendly people and great service. 10 out of 10 would recommend to a friend! I just recently moved to Alexandria and did my research when choosing a new salon for my hair and nails. The reviews don't do this salon justice. Yvonne listened to my needs and wants, which to be blunt, fixing a bad haircut for a sudden and unexpected interview. My hair turned out fabulous and the best thing is I was able to style it myself this morning. Let's face it, when you walk out of a salon your hair always looks fabulous because the stylist is able to pull and tweak and dry your hair to give it incredible volume and look beautiful. The true test is being able to do it yourself at home. Besides the amazing haircut, I got a wonderful manicure as well, and can't wait to go back for a pedi (might have to try the fish thingy), and have her fix my highlights. I have been coming to the Arlington location for over two years and the service here is truly amazing! Tony is my favorite! He has impeccable attention to detail, he is thorough and listens to what you want. I went for a pedicure and the lady working mentioned I should get my eyebrows waxed. I was hesitant because in their old salon they were known to wax them super thin. I asked her to please only clean them and she disregarded my comment and said to just trust her. She left the shape very thin and exactly what I asked her not to do. Read Less

This place is fantastic! They do everything! I've had my hair, nails and eyelashes done here and all have been great. I particularly love Yvonne. She really knows hair and gives a great cut, style and amazing color! She takes her time and gives you exactly what you want. Linda and Katie made our first experience the best experience. They were friendly and recommended different service to compliment our needs. We tried the fish pedicure at it was different but yet amazing and it does tickle. I recommend getting a traditional pedicure after. Moving not too far from the area and trying find to find a nail salon where the place is clean & the people are friendly and happy to serve you is very hard to find. I purchased a $120 package which included a 20 min fish pedicure, 30 min hot stone massage, pedicure with scrub, manicure and free wine/drinks (I don't drink though). Monday-Thursday it's 20% services. I loved the hot stone massage CoCo was amazing! Tony did my nails and as you can see from the pictures it wasn't done correctly as my entire nail was not painted and had problems all around.. service was great, massages are wonderful but the nail service isn't something I would come here forever. The fish pedicure was a great experience, very ticklish and sanitary as they change the fish routinely as I seen for myself. Definitely somewhere I would recommend! Read Less

I mean this is my first time ever writing one, and I come here faithfully before I give a place my business.I called an hr ahead of time for a men's facial, I try and get one every so often because of shaving etc. They were able to fit me right in and my wait was none at all.AS FOR THE SERVICE, BEST MEN'S FACIAL I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE ON THIS PLANET. I went in a group of 4 total, for the spa pedicure with the fish treatment. We were able to make reservations day of & the service was fine (but great, not terrible). It's a pretty big salon, having room for 4 people to do the fish treatment at once. I did the green tea scent for my pedicure & that smelled lovely. I'm giving Yvonne's a 4 because my nails polish didn't fully cover my toenails, there were spots missed. At $60 I was thinking they would look great. Also- the fish pedicure is a cool activity to do; but I don't really get the point of it. If you get a pedicure the standard process is still followed & my feet looked/felt as they do when I get an average pedicure. Read Less

Terrible experience here yesterday.  I had made an appointment here two weeks prior to coming in for the Living Social Fish pedicure special and whoever took my appointment did not record my name or the number I had given them on the phone.  The lady that was at the front desk when I got to Yvonne's told me I was not on the calendar and showed me the space that actually had my appointment but the number was different (no name on the calendar and the number looked similar to the random numbers that appear on caller ID's when I call from my job).  After a moment or two of back and forth on this she finally said she "could make space for me" (there was no one else waiting in the salon).  I handed her my Living Social coupon, she perused it and held on to it taking it to the back where she later returned with the tools for the fish pedicure.  This is the kicker.  About mid-way through the fish pedicure, she comes back over to me and ask if I had the paper copy that I had just given her, I replied "No, I gave it to you" and she asked if I could find it on my phone.  I obliged and searched for about 25 minutes before giving up (1. my password reset was giving me issues with the link and 2.  I could not find it in my email).  I decided this was not my issue since I had already given her the paper copy of the Living Social coupon.  She then informed me that because she could not find it and I could not find ANOTHER copy on my phone, I could not leave the shop without paying or her finding the paper voucher she had lost.  I told her to terminate the pedicure at that point.  I was no longer relaxing, I was gaining anxiety from this confrontation at a place where I am supposed to be in bliss.She then told me she wanted me out of the shop, which is what I was packing up to do at this point.  She told me how she had done me a FAVOR by letting me get in on an appointment time that she did not have take me in.  Instead of getting erratic with her, I decided to get footage of this experience.  You can find my video footage in the photo section of this page or on YouTube here (youtu.be/9tNdUFYe9U8) to see firsthand the treatment that I received.  Do not waste your money (even your Living Social money) on this place.  The service is beneath horrible.  I like to use this analogy when looking at my experience:  If I give a waiter $20 in cash and we both know that I gave you the $20, and you misplace/lose that $20 then I do not owe you another $20.  It is up to you to find the $20 that YOU lost.  This is what happened here except it was a paper voucher from Living Social (which she must have found because when I called Living Social today to get my refund, they said it had been redeemed, le sigh).DO NOT GO. SCAM! I purchased 2 Groupons for 20 minute fish therapy and pedicure. I made an appt for 1 week later saying that I had a Groupon. I get there with the wife/daughter and the vendor is saying that they won't accept anymore Groupons for the day.  Instead, he wants to sell me a Groupon instead, I'm thinking "what."He says that I can cancel my Groupon and he'll sell me another. That's the only way he'll give me service.  He only accepts 4 groupons per day.  The place was completely empty (by the way). I left in a huff! He is essentially trying to cutout Groupon's sales fees (cost share).  Pay me instead.  Beware.  Don't support this business.  There are so many others who know how to treat customers and appreciate Groupon for stirring customers in their direction.
