Modern Nail Bar, a full service nail salon serving the Washington DC Metro area, specializes in making you look and feel beautiful. We offer nail services, waxing services and eyelash extensions in a relaxing, elegant environment.
A regular manicure or pedicure keeps nails tidy and improves the appearance. It also helps the nails grow and stay strong.
Everyone’s nails are completely different and, at Modern Nail Bar, our manicurists will tailor a nail care treat for your particular needs. The manicurist will choose nail care products that are best for you, which ensures your nails are strengthened and conditioned.

My go to nail salon! I am very meticulous and have had a lot of issues getting my nails done in the past, but not at Modern nail bar! They are amazing. I have gotten my nails done by a few of the technicians and they are all great. They are precise and make sure that you leave happy. I highly recommend seeing Vicky and Rosa!

My nail tech Cherry is awesome! It's a little more expensive than some places, but I feel it's worth it for the service I receive. I just wish the manicure chairs were more comfortable.

I've never had so many hangnails after getting a manicure! Torn skin around my cuticles appeared the day after my mani and into the next week. I like my nails short and nail tech filed my nails crooke...
I've never had so many hangnails after getting a manicure! Torn skin around my cuticles appeared the day after my mani and into the next week. I like my nails short and nail tech filed my nails crooked on several sides -you can't fix that with short nails. She also wasn't careful to keep gel nail polish on my nails and got them all over my cuticles and fingers. I went home and used remover myself.
I should have known something was wrong when I finished both my mani and pedi way before the girl next to me, also getting a mani and pedi, just started her mani. Paid and left tip, but will not visit again despite the convenient location.

Went to get my nails done for my birthday and the tech left so much to be desired. I asked for a mani pedi with a gel full set. The pedicure was okay but when it came to painting my toes she did the bare minimum. I had to ask for another coat. She COMPLETELY skipped the mani and when I said something about it she said it would cost more than the price it was already. When she started my full set she shaped them terribly uneven. Some crooked or some thicker than others. After it was all done and i gave my feedback she gave me a coupon for "the next time" I come back. Ha! I definitely will not be patronizing this establishment again.

Nathan made me feel welcome and Ben gave me a beautiful mani/pedi. Ben was attentive and easy to talk with and my time there was truly enjoyable. And the mani/pedi was fabulous. Definitely recommend.

I just moved into the Clarendon/Courthouse area from Ballston and was looking for a new place to get my nails done. I had a gel manicure with regular pedicure and it came out to a reasonable price. Cherry, my nail technician, did an amazing job. I picked out a color and she even recommended a better bottle so that the color would show better and I was so pleased! I love the look of the place, very large and modern (appropriate for the name). I don't mind the wine not being offered, they're in the process of getting a license for it. I'm sure many of the customers will be happy when it's an option for a drink but I'll take tea or water any day.
I really enjoyed my experience at Modern Nail Bar, and will for sure be coming back.

My go to nail salon! I am very meticulous and have had a lot of issues getting my nails done in the past, but not at Modern nail bar! They are amazing. I like my nails short and nail tech filed my nails crooked on several sides -you can't fix that with short nails. She also wasn't careful to keep gel nail polish on my nails and got them all over my cuticles and fingers. I went home and used remover myself.

Went to get my nails done for my birthday and the tech left so much to be desired. I asked for a mani pedi with a gel full set. The pedicure was okay but when it came to painting my toes she did the bare minimum. I had to ask for another coat.
