I've been coming to this nail place for a few years now and I have never had a bad experience! When I first moved to the area I tried almost every place imaginable, and no place in Clarendon even compares to the quality! Depending on the technician, you may get someone who is very quiet and just lets to chill and relax, or you may have someone who is genuinely interested in how your day was, how's your family, how's work, etc. either way the quality has always been superb! Today I even heard a girl come in and complain that her nail chipped after 3 WEEKS!!!! Really? And the manager refunded her entire manicure...after 3 weeks!!!!! This nail salon is close to my job so it's super confinement for me to get to. Unfortunately, my experiences have not been great. I went the first time about two months ago and was not happy with my service. I got a fill in with gel polish. The guy I had was very kind but I wasn't a fan of my nails. The acrylic was very thick and I told him that I don't like them thick. I didn't really like them but I paid the 46$ anyways and kept it moving. Today I decided to give them another try. Maybe he had an off day or maybe it was just that one guy. So I came as a walk in & got placed with the same guy again *sighs* okay. I decided to just give him another try..... all I have to say is NEVER again. My nails look like a child did them. The acrylic job was horrible again and the paint job even worse!!!!!!! It's lumpy and very thick. I hate them. But once again I paid my 46$ only this time I'll never return again. $25 refill turned into a $40 refill and wasn't worth it....I had one nail missing extra $5, asked for an almond cup wasn't told that was extra $5 and they charged me for getting it alittle shorter $5 and additional custom $5 for taking longer to do the almond cut?!?! Again with out telling me.....I always tip so had to give him a $4 tip and tried to like it but the nail polish painting job wasn't good and my nails looked old plus they don't offer any designs really and charged me extras with out telling me. :-/ The place is nice and so are the people. 3 stars Read Less

clean but overpriced. $3 more than website states (at this location) per polish change (hands and feet). No updated Essie colors (probably from 12 seasons ago or more), the color I chose was old, and coming out in glops. It was applied thick and now my nails look like they have puddles of play dough on them. Compared to other polish changes at salons this salon does NOT file, soak or buff your nails or anything besides apply color during a polish change, this was quick....but that was the only plus. Worst manicure ever! I get them weekly but this is not my regular shop. I don't get polish because I have long healthy white nails which always look frenched. He cut them completely off!! He put my hand in cold water for about 10 seconds. I had to ask him to trm my cuticles. He then put a drop of oil on my knuckles and wiggled my fingers. That cost $18. This was the worst manicure I have ever had in my life. I asked for my nails to be shaped evenly. I went in with long nails and came out with a 1cm line across my nail bed. My hand was placed in cold water for one second and I had to ask to have my cuticles trimmed. He then put oil on my knuckles and wiggled my fingers. My bestie and I come here about every two weeks for spa mani/pedis. We tend to show up early, right around the time they open, and so we never have to wait. They do a great job, and it's relatively inexpensive for the location. You've got to temper your expectations, though. If you show up in the middle of a Saturday with no appointment, you're going to have to wait around a bit. Especially if you show up with 3 or 4 people. We see this all the time. You wouldn't believe how annoyed people get when they're told there is a wait. Also, it's nail polish, not industrial lacquer. Sometimes the polish chips, and that's why we typically get gel on our hands. It lasts much longer, and stands up to much harsher treatment. The biggest thing I've noticed with Divine Nails is that you get what you give. Treat the staff with kindest and respect, and you're going to walk out of there looking and feeling great. ! Read Less

Clean, efficient, and relaxing.They recently got purchased by a new owner but things are mostly the same.I go for manicures and pedicures, but not for waxing. They don't typically bug you on up-sells to other services which I appreciate. They do a LOT of gel manicures and do them well.They are much more expensive than I was used to, coming from NYC, with a pedicure being around $32, but that seems to be the norm in this area. Great location for Clarendonians to stop in to o the way home from work. They did a good job with my nails,  the place is extremely clean and comfortable, and they have many seats. I walk past there every day and they never see them busy- not quite sure why. I couldn't give it a complete 5 stars because in comparing it to another nail salon I go to in the area, I wouldn't say this place is super trendy (I.e. Gives you a high class vibe w/ chandeliers, etc.). But like I said- I really is very clean and relaxing. Comparable prices too. Read Less

I came here on a Thursday night with my roommate to get a quick manicure before heading out of town for the weekend. The location itself was clean and homey and the employees were all very nice, but I'm disappointed in my manicure. The massage lasted for 1 minute maximum, and they switched manicurists halfway through my manicure, which caused my left hand to look totally different from my right hand.... really odd. Also, within one day the nail polish was chipping and my cuticles were tearing and hurting very badly. They always do a good job and the treatment is super relaxing.The staff is very polite, and I have also noticed that the spa is always kept very clean. They have coffee and tea available, and the wifi is super fast. The massage chairs with multiple settings are a plus. This salon is now my go-to for a mani/pedi. I used to go to a place in Courthouse, but after trying out Divine Nail once and getting the same amazing service for several visits, I'm now a big fan. The women I've worked with there pay attention the the smallest detail to make sure a manicure lasts awhile. I get pale pink gel manicures and they take the time to put on a third coat of color, paint the tip of the nail so the color won't wear away at the edge (other salons I've visited don't do this consistently), and file a nail with a potential rough smooth after the gel has set so it won't snag. At some places, once the gel sets they don't give your nails a second glance, but here, they do a quality check. My manicures last a ridiculously long time--i got gel 24 days ago (yep, checked the calendar to make sure) and aside from a tiny chip on the end of one nail, the color is still glossy and looking good. Stopped in as a walk in on Mother's Day so they were very busy but the manager (or perhaps owner?) was awesome, getting me a coffee while I waited (wait was short!). He was very attentive and even unnecessarily apologetic. He was equally nice to the kids and moms getting mani pedis. My Pedi was good. No complaints in the execution. And it was fast, which I needed today. I prefer a slightly more serene nail experience, but the owner here is super social, engaging every customer in conversation--I couldn't tell if the clientele was annoyed. This place is a short walk from my apartment. I am new to the area- so I was looking for a new nail place. I decided on here and was greeted warmly. I was immediately offered hot tea or water. There was a big bowl of candy with yummy goodies. I got a pedicure and a polish change by Kevin (I think that was his name). It looks great. They also have free wifi. They allow you to tip on the card but prefer cash- I found that a little off putting because I never carry cash, but they weren't rude at all when I advised I only had a card.The place seems a bit pricey, but I'm originally from Georgia where I could get a pedicure for $17 and a polish change for $5. Divine nails is now under new management! the new manager Joeseph is what EVERY manager should be. He was attentive, welcoming, and knowledgeable. He greeted everyone at the front door and seemed to be at the back of the room at the same damn time! No, I'm serious.  I first came here about four months ago and I had a really nice experience but nothing to write home about. I took note of how clean and well organized this business was. I knew I would come back because the location is directly between where I work and where I live. Under Joseph's management it has retained its cleanliness and well organized nail polish selection. I love the little waiting area and their candy dish (it makes my chocolate soul happy). I have never had a better experience in the nail salon! I have to shout out Yvonne who worked on me today.  She was awesome!!! I will never go to another nail salon as long as I live in Virginia. Read Less

I came in for a gel manicure and the salon was empty- like an empty restaurant, that was an early red flag.My salon experience was lovely- they have lots of sunshine, comfortable chairs, classical music playing, and friendly staff. I especially liked their iPad payment system.My manicure itself was terrible- I asked for oval nails with no corners and she filed mine straight across- making some of them shorter and giving me major corners. The gel pooled in my cuticles, which means it will lift as it grows out, and I left the salon with a few hangnails. Not worth the $35. I usually go to Oasis nails on Wilson between Roslyn and courthouse- I'll be returning to oasis from now on. Read Less
