Such an easy, breezy visit this was. I almost don't want to rave about this place for fear that this well-kept secret will be discovered! But the owners are great and running a solid business that should be shared. I've had this bookmarked for nearly 2 years and finally went in for a leg wax. I'm from Chicago and used to get my legs waxed on Devon Ave for $20 half leg and $40 full. I'm always astounded when I find that places in the DMV area charge at minimum $30; usually the average is $40 and full leg is $75 which to me is crazy expensive! Here though it's only $25 for half and $40 for full which is close enough to my Chicago Devon prices! It was a little difficult to find as it was in the Century Building between Buffalo Wild Wings and Bar Louie. I was confused at first and thought they were in the crystal city shops but they're not--right across the street on 23rd. At times the doors may be locked so you have to ring the bell. Like another yelper said this place is cozy and no frills--not crowded but a steady stream of customers. I didn't have to wait at all and the owner did a great job on me, super fast and efficient and was fine with me lying on my side as I'm pregnant. When I first walked in I was very skeptical but due to snow decided to pick a spot based on convenience. A gel mani and pedi was $45 which is a lot cheaper then other places I've been to nearby. As another Yelper mentioned the place is zero frills but the final product is great quality. They have a lot of gel nail colors to choose from and they message your hands and feet. The two people that were there when I arrived were very kind and accommodating. At first the lady that did my manicure wasn't focusing much on cuticles but after I asked her to clip them more I was very happy with how my nails turned out. I loved this place! It's walking distance from my office so I stepped in because it had been ages since I had gotten a mani/pedi. Service was great, they accept debit cards (not cash only) price was very reasonable! Almost comparable to California- which is what I'm used to! I'm def. coming back. The prices may be very good, but this nail salon is very dirty.  But the worst is that I had a little bit of fungus on my nail, and the technician gave me a fill right over it.  I saw that it was discolored, but I didn't know that it was fungus, so I didn't say anything.  I found out 3 weeks later when I went to another salon.  I've never been back. Got a gel manicure and regular pedicure a day ago. It was my first time at this place. Very small place, 2 pedicure seats and 3 nail tables. 2 technicians were working and trying to juggle 3 customers  at once. The mani and pedi were below average and the manicure and pedicure don't look neat and is already beginning to chip after just one day. I asked the technician to fix some things I didn't like but didn't want to keep correcting them. It's very convenient for me since I work nearby.  They have great prices and do great work.  I usually get a gel manicure and pedicure.  The shop was recently remodeled to improve the floors and paint the walls, so it looks a little better now although it is still rather small.  The nearby parking garages are free after 4pm and on the weekends so that's convenient as well! I went to Crystal Beauty as it is connected to the building where I work and I was in a time crunch. It is very small but gets the job done. I don't really go to nail salons expecting fancy spa experiences... I got to a spa for that lol. So this place's ambience was just fine. It was simple and clean. I needed a fill on my acrylic and gel polish. I arrived at 11:57 and was out by 12:45. I am very satisfied with my nails. They look good! Being the nitpicker that I am, I do notice minimal things that I would change but no one else notices them. I am very pleased and will in the future as it was a very good price and good service. I got my nails done for the first time ever (a simple manicure with polish) here today as a birthday week present. It's a tiny unit that anyone who works in 2450 Crystal Dr should know and it's reall a no-frills place. I booked an appointment 2 days prior to ensure I'd be able to get a spot since they have a small number of nail techs (when I went, they had 3 at 4:30). During the middle of the day when I booked, they only had 1.The price is soooo reasonable and makes it worth it coming here. One of the other clients was requesting a pretty intricate Christmas set (Rudolphs and polka dots) and one nail tech was delivering just fine. I do wish mine had paid a bit more attention to my cuticles - he didn't do them as cleanly as I would have liked, but the polish is done better than I ever could. Lacking ambience for sure (tiny but seemed clean enough, feels crowded and not very relaxing) but it was inexpensive and they did good work.  I got towels on my legs on a pedicure (which is a good thing, instead they did a nice leg massage). It's quick, it's cheap, and it's convenient. I needed an emergency mani/pedi right before my vacation but had no time to make an appointment at my regular salon, so I came to Crystal Beauty on my lunch break from work. There are only two nail stations/technicians, so if you don't make an appointment or get in at the right time there's a good chance you'll have to wait or come back. This place was so unprofessional.  I went in for a manicure my sister in law went in for a pedicure. The guy was afraid to touch her feet and the lady told me she would not do my manicure even though the guy said she was the manicurist. I felt the vibe of extreme prejudice. A woman of another race came in after I waited 20 minutes the lady took her and did her manicure. REALLY....if you are bigots then don't get into a profession that services other races than your own.  I am digusted . They are overpriced anyway. Read Less

Pretty cheap looking but I've gotten better mani-pedis here than "upscale" salons. If I'm in the neighborhood,  I go here.  Street parking can be difficult to find.  I have to give it only 2 stars for the facility but they did a good job.  It's only 2 chairs in a tiny spot with outdated decor.  ...but I get a Gel mani- pedi for a great price and tight eyebrow wax.  Same people aren't always there so I can't vouch for everyone. I've only had pedicures in San Francisco. But this place was nice. The massage could of been more then 3 seconds. I wouldn't bother to pay someone to paint my toes if it weren't for the massage. Also I've enjoyed better chairs. But nothing terrible.Read Less

Definitely my go to nail salon!  I go on Saturday for the mani/pedi special.  This time i got a french manicure and my girl did a fabulous job.  They really take their time to make sure it looks perfect.  I also got my eyebrows done....again a perfection job.  I definitely recommend.Don't get turned off by the store, it is not renovated or anything fancy.   But the quality of their work is great. Gel manicure was spot on. Great application! This is the first nail salon that did not smell like chemicals; I was amazed. The staff was attentive, friendly, and polite. the pedicure was not very good; however, I could have stayed in bed at my hotel and saved myself the cost of this non-pedicure. The pedicurist did not seem inclined to expend any energy. she did not even scrub my heel, because I just wore my Ughs without socks, so the black dye was on my feet and she made no attempt to even clean it off. I was disappointed with it. had I allowed her, she would have just done my toes, done a lotion massage, polished my toes and done. Her demeanor was pleasant though. Both ladies were pleasant.
