I had gel manicure done at the Oldtown Nails 1 week before my destination wedding. Unfortunately, the gel started to pill off the edges in less than 1 week. I had to remove the gel the day of the wedding. Horrible. The gel also became a yellowish color after 5 days (it was off-white color). My gel nails usually last for over 2 weeks. The place is nice just what happened today upset me a lot, I called them at 6:57 to be exact and asked what time they close , a young lady answered me and said 8pm. Okay I had a special occasion tonight I really wanted to do my nails I drove out 20 minutes to old town since they said they close at 8. I arrived at 7:35 and there was two ladies there and one was with a guest..I even told them upon arrival that It was my first time there and I wanted a gel and the girl was like okay, do you need full set ? I said no gel.they seemed like they didn’t wanna see me so I asked well do you have time cause I called and they clearly said 8 I still had enough time. She said she couldn’t see me cause everyone had left but there was another girl there.. next time if Someone calls you guys asking what time you close MIGHT as well say 7:30 because you really wasted my time....the women clearly said they take walk ins too. My friend and I came by shortly after opening on a weekday morning and were able to get manicures without a wait. Manicure quality: pretty goodgel manicure with even color and very few bubbles. Plenty of color choices as well. They even have more colors along the walls behind where they do your nails. Price: on par with other salons in the area. Location: on king street in old town with plenty of metered street parking in front of the salon. The parallel side streets also have plenty of parking as well. Service: the woman who did my nails wad skilled but rude at times. I was here with a friend and we were laughing and talking. The technician asked me many times to sit still and got frustrated by my movement, even though my only movement was from laughter. I was confused by her frustration since my nails were well underway and looking ok. This won't stop me from coming back, but just something to think about. Pro tip: bring cash for a tip! Awesome experience! I asked for Victoria since she has a lot of great reviews, and she was fabulous! I got a gel mani and deluxe pedi and I'm super satisfied! Her massage was one of the best I've ever had during a pedicure! I'm super picky when it comes to nail salons and this spa is super clean and has friendly staff. Disgusting and dirty - I brought 6 girls in and ever single girl had a bad experience - they were late getting there for our appointment , my sister got her arm stuck in old wax that was sitting out over night , not covered, the pedicure tubs were gross and they overfilled twice, one of the young girls came it looking a hot mess. There was so much dust I couldn't put my hands inside the nail dryer- looks like it's never been wiped down with bleach. Health department really needs to come take a look- there's dirty dishes in the sink! That place needs a good scrub down!!! Please clean your shop! Especially the waxing area . Your not suppose to double dip the wax that's how you spread diseases, hope you clean your shop up soon. I won't be back - non of my family or fb friends will be back either until it gets cleaned up! Terrible. Nails crooked. Gel is on my cutical and was cut 2 or 3 times and don't even get me started on my middle finger nail.. on top of that they knew I was pissed and still ran my card for full amount. Rediculous. Thanks for nothing will have to pay more to get fixed as well.. Read Less
