I am so disappointed in the Green Door Day Spa! I think this might be the first time I have ever gives a "one star" review, but my interactions with this place were pure frustration! I booked a spa day package, so they took my credit card information. All good. Then, the day of the planned services, I fell ill with a stomach bug. I called to reschedule and was told that their policy was to charge half of the fee (over $150!) for a last-minute cancellation. I retorted that, in that case, I would drive right over but that I doubted they wanted me to come in and appall their other customers when I vomited. We compromised. They charged my card the $154, but I would receive that amount as a credit. Fine-- all is well and good. That is, until I called recently and tried to use the credit. Then I was told that they have "no record" of my credit. Michelle explained that she can find that they charged my card but only for a cancellation fee, no mention of agreeing to give me a credit. Fortunately, I run a business of my own and keep very good notes, so I was able to provide the date and time of the conversation as well as her name, as it was she with whom I had originally spoken. Her reply? "It's too bad you don't have any proof of that." I value my integrity very highly and take poorly to having my character impugned. We left it that she would speak with the owners and call me back. When two weeks had passed (to be fair, it was the holidays and they were understandably busy) and I had received no response, I thought that I might have better luck if I went in personally. After waiting for Michelle (who came and went and then came back) and trying to speak politely with her, I became frustrated when she just began to repeat the word "policy" and did not accept any responsibility for breaking her own word both about the credit and about calling me back. "We get a lot of people through here" seemed to be her reason for not remembering to follow up, and I was discouraged to be dismissed and valued so little. I know that I am just one of many potential customers, but a business that does not value me as a customer will simply not have me as a customer. It seems a shame to lose business because you just don't care enough but depend instead on others who are only in town for a visit. I suppose that, if you are in from out of town and only visiting (and in perfect health!), then you might really enjoy your time here. Having received no services but only a great deal of aggravation from management, I would recommend finding someplace else! Read Less
