The man that finally did my pedicure was nice enough but he kept cutting the skin by the nail, even after he painted. He filed my nails after they were painted and kept cutting so much skin, it made me bleed. It was like torture instead of a relaxing experience. Would not recommend. Let me start with the reason why I am giving them 3 stars VS 5 stars is because I have come here for YEARS and I love the owner and her daughter but meeting this new nail techs made me change my mind about this salon. This was months ago that I had went to this nail tech but she has been rude from the start. I don't mean to disrespect the owner but as a customer you have the right to know... I went to one nail tech, after the owner and her daughter were not available, the nail tech was RUDE and when she was doing them she had no care for them at all they were so ugly and messed up that it made me cry after getting this service. She was so defensive once I asked her to fix them. All she wanted me to do was pay. She was just being aggressive and did not care for me at all. Not only that but the MAN next to her was rude to my sister too, they just argued back and forth and I could tell that they did not care one but about who was sitting in front of them... He did not seem interested in his client at all he kept checking his phone! My nails lifted just a few days after she did them, and she rushed through the job. She is the one sitting on the right side with the short red hair with bangs, and he is the one sitting next to her. Let me save you the time, DO NOT go to either of them. They are truly ruining this good salon. It made me not want to go back to them for MONTHS! But I had realized that it wasn't the whole salon that was bad it was just them! so please save yourself the trouble and do not go to either! Fair warning to everyone. I bled for over 5 minutes!! Please spare yourself the rude, careless, rushing behavior of employees at this salon. I got my finger cut up so bad by them it took over 5 minutes for it to stop bleeding. There was no real compassion for the pain that was caused. The only person that takes time and values the customer is the young lady with no accent and she was busy. Also, my husband is Vietnamese and we have a15 year old son so trust me when I say they are talking so much trash on paying customers that it's disgusting! My niece went first and was done with a full gel manicure in under 12 minutes..? That's not worth the $25 they charged for my niece. I have been going to Passion Nails since I could remember. They have always, and I mean ALWAYS have done such an amazing job on my nails. Feet and hands. The last year, I have consistently been going to one particular nail tech by the name of Merry. I have to say, the first 2 times, I went to her, I just got standard white tip because I am boring and never wanted to do anything different. The 3rd time I went, Merry had asked if I would be interested in doing something a little different, well I let her take the reigns and lets just say, I have never looked back and have not regretted my decision once! She is seriously so talented it amazes me! Ever since that day, I just go in and tell her to do what she wants. I constantly get complimented and am always asked where I get them done. I have referred so many people to her and continue to do so. My nails last me up to a month!!!! Even then, it doesnt even look like I need a fill. That's how good they are! Passion Nails is the place to go. Even though I only go to Merry now, I have gone to the other ladies as well and they are all just as talented and amazing.....super sweet as well! Marry was super nice and I had a great time talking with her while she did my nails! They have so many fun options and unique choices for nails. I had a picture of the nails i wanted and they turned out even better than the picture! And if there was something with my nails that i changed my mind on, or wanted the shape different or something, i felt like i could actually express it. I was visiting SLC from NYC and got a mani pedi here. The pedi was just ok. The manicure was terrible. All the employees kept pushing gel polish on me and i had to decline multiple times. He did not polish all the way to the cuticle, so my fresh manicure looked like a week old gel manicure. He did not use the cuticle oil before picking all my skin off. I even had to ask for hand lotion! And I warm towel, the best part! The salon did not have any dryers and I had to hold my hands in front of a mini desk top fan to dry. On top of it all, the man who did my nails made very inappropriate jokes about recent events in Las Vegas. If I'm back in the area again, I will not come here again. Read Less

This is my favorite salon to go to. I've been to many different nail salons in the past, and I finally found one that I love. All of the techs great, my nails always look awesome, and the shop is always super clean and comfortable. When you go in, ask for Merry, she's my favorite. They are by best Meeh both women who worked on ne were rude as hell. They dont now accept me trying to tell them i dont l something in their work . As soon as i left after an hour the nails was still effy and the got damage.. I honestly hated being their i felt that i was asking something for free where I paid 40$ for sloppy work and rude and offensive attitude. Horrible service!! I went in for a manicure. The person who worked on my nails filed them unevenly. The nail polish was thick and formed bubbles. I asked for a refund -- they claimed that in order for them to issue a refund, they would need to remove the gel polish from my nails. I didn't have time to sit for another 1.5 hrs. I left dissatisfied and without a refund. I was appalled that they ignored me and were completely insensitive, outright rude and unprofessional. Read Less

I just went to a nail salon where the nail tech who was doing my pedicure rightfully retrieved sterilized tools to perform my pedicure. His coworker got up and swapped the sterilized tools that were to be used on me with some old tools that had remnants/residue of pedicures past (so gross). She did not sterilize these tools and told him to use the dirty tools for me, while she took the sterilized tools to perform work on another client. I go to Happy Nails in LA regularly and am a satisfied customer. If I can avoid it I don't go anywhere else. I found myself in SLC for work this week and knew I wouldn't be getting back to LA until the 9th. I decided to find a local nail salon that could fit me in whilst I was on the road. Passion Nails actually had good reviews on YELP, but I am a very unsatisfied  customer and won't be returning. I am an esthetician myself and had to fix what was done...1) Cut my toe which is now infected 2) Rough polish application (all of my cuticles) (pedi)3) Had me soak off my gel nail polish in a pool of acetone4) Removed the remaining gel with power tools used for acrylic and gel nails5) New gel polish application was also rough and on my cuticles (mani)I don't like writing such a review (and actually haven't), but I am incredibly unsatisfied with the result and also the money I spent after buying tools to fix the job that was done. A $58 mani / pedi turning into $100.As a result I now have one infected toe, 2 nails without gel as they lifted due to the polish being applied over the cuticle and a broken nail due to the acetone pool soak and unnecessary filing. The ladies all seemed lovely - I will give them that, but I am extremely unsatisfied and won't be returning. Read Less

DON'T go here! They have 2 stars for a reason. I went here for the very first time about 2 hours ago to get my nails removed because I wanted a full set guess what? They greeted us than they spoke in their language and started to laugh like are you kidding me? Speak English or don't talk in your language and laugh when customers walk in. The lady that helped me was in a rush and it was pretty slow! She ripped half of my nails off and I literally couldn't breath because it was half way gone and I can only see the skin, she said sorry and glued whatever she can together and still had the guts to charge me after 3 of my fingernails were damaged. I walked out with bloody finger nails and in massive pain and still was fully charged. Their so horrible! They should shut down! I work a lot & have many projects going on, my lifestyle gets pretty hectic. But I can always come here to relax. I'll be honest I don't personally like the valley fair mall, It's not the most prestigious shopping center in Utah. HOWEVER the fact that I only come to this area for Passion Nails says A LOT! My nails always look great, the Nail techs always listen to my ideas for Nail styling! They're very hip with trending looks on Instagram. PEDICURES for me are everything because of my profession in music entertainment, I'm traveling & extremely hard on my feet constantly wearing different heels. They were able to rid dead skin on my feet that I had no idea was even there! My feet were baby soft after the treatment & I felt FAB! too bad some reviews on here talk about the ladies talking amongst themselves...what do you expect in a nail salon?! WE'RE WOMEN No matter what culture, background, language all woman love GOSSIP lol don't be offended join them :) ask them what they're talking about. Ladies here are nice enough, though they do talk amongst themselves a lot and ignore customers. I was happy they accommodated my 4 year old who wanted her nails painted. Only $5 the lady promised. If I could give them Zero stars, I would. I went here for a pedicure and the woman scrubbed a callus so hard on my toe that it bled.....she then stopped the bleeding by putting some weird dye on it which turned it black and stung like a bitch. I went there in the end of january of 2009 and got my nails done they guy didnt pay attention to my nails and cut my nails up and cut my finger because he was to busy looking out the window and the tv.
