I would give this place 0 stars if I could. I've been living in this area for 4 years now, and after three attempts to like the place the first year, I stopped because service is inconsistent. I went again today to see if it was better, and it's not. I only wanted my cuticles cleaned up, and my the cuticles and callouses on my feet. Seriously a half ass job, didn't scrub the dead skin off, missed the hang nails I went in to get cleaned up, and then charged me FULL PRICE even though I got no paint! Johnny does an amazing job. That’s about the only good thing about this place. Everyone else is so inconsistent with their work. My mom and I have been here multiple times and it’s either a hit or miss. They still charge you full price even if they do a terrible job. They also do not wash their hands or table moving from one client to the next. This last time we decided we were done when we waited 45 minutes for gel nails, and only got one of us in for the ugliest nails I have ever gotten. Still paid $40 though. So ridiculous. Read Less

Awesome experience. I was gifted a massage and pedicure for my friend birthday party and luckily I was found to VJ Nails & Spa. Everything is organic and all natural and the jewelry they sell is all handmade- which I personally love! Keep it local!! I got an hour full body massage from the young guy. It was the best massage I have ever gotten. He was extremely interested in what I do on a daily basis to focus on what areas are the most tense. After leaving, I felt relaxed. He was also extremely nice and personable- never once did I feel uncomfortable. I then moved to the dry pedicure from another nail techs, this was my first dry pedicure. I'm very ticklish with my feet but not once did she make me jerk my foot back. She gave my great information about facials because I had a really bad experience a few years back. I have been to V J Nails & Spa two times in the past two weeks. This was now my nail salon. The staff gave me a cup of tea when I sat down. Staff treated me like I was an old friend. They had a lot of color choices for gel to me. The best part is, my gel manicure last about 3 weeks without peeling. I loooooove love love this place. First time, last time customer. My mom and I got mani pedis and we both experienced pain and blood shed during our pedicure. The guy hacked off the skin on the top of 2 of my toes to where I was bleeding A LOT. he didn't even say anything but instead put cotton on it several Times to absorb the blood, followed by nail glue, on my bloody skin which burned quiet a bit, over and over. That doesn't seem real sanitary to me.. I'd pass on this place. Even the nail polish they use looks completely different when applied. I have come here a couple of times and this past time Fiona did my nails. I got home and my nails were wonky. One side of my nail had more acrylic than the other side . On every nail. So they were all lopsided .  Not only that but she got acrylic all over my skin around the nails . I came back the next day and asked to have them re done so the acrylic was even across my nails . The man filed my nails on the. He filed them and smiled like he'd fixed it. I started explaining that my expectations had not been met and that I wanted him to either fix my nails or give me my money back and he said if I'd just live with it he'd do my next fill for free. I appreciate the effort but it's my birthday this weekend and I want my nails to look like they were professionally done, not like I got them done at a beauty school. Not only that but I paid $38 for a full with gel and I have dips and uneven twisted crooked nails . They are now soooo much shorter than I wanted them . Went in today to get a pedi and a full set for my daughter and I. The younger male (I think his name was Brian) did a great job on my feet but the older lady with glasses who did my nails was horrible! She had a bad attitude and did not take my opinion into consideration when my nail was crooked. She said it's fine and pretty much pushed my hand off of hers and moved to the next hand. She was aggressive and had long nails that she was jamming into my fingers the whole time. I asked for a coffin shape and she pretty much gave me almost a stiletto and said they are fine. By that point I was so angry I just wanted it done so I can go. Then I get charged $5 extra for coffin & $5 extra for length. My nails were not long and I've never been charged for the shape of my nail. I feel bad that the reviews aren't great because of the shitty lady they have. Went there because I was in the area in between two grandsons soccer games. I had shellac on my toes that needed to come off. He literally dug/scrapped/filed it off - hurt very bad! Then when file my toe nails the file was also filing the end of my toe. I suppose it is my fault for not speaking up. I was in shock that he was doing it the way he was. THEN to top it off the paint and shellac job he did was not very good. Then came what is supposed to be the relaxing part - the foot rub. . . not pleasant either! Now that I read all these other comments I guess I get what I get for not researching AND for not sticking with my regular place Happy Designs Nails and Spa - will NOT be going back ... p.s. after I got home I realized he way overcharged me! I asked the lady doing my nails to make them thick and not to file the sides. she told me that the gel would make them thicker and i love the way they looked however she didn't listen to me and within 2 days i had already broke a nail. she told me she guarantees her work if i had a problem to go back in and she will fix it. When i went back she fixed it and then charged me 5 dollars. the next day i broke another nail and when i went in i explained to another lady that the person that did my nails was asked to do them a certain way and was told to come back when the other girl was there. i was so upset that they didn't listen in the first place. Finally tried this place since I didn't want to drive to my usual. They take walk ins and my niece and I were able to get a gel pedicure for her and spa pedicure for me. I was happy with their service, especially since they were 45 mins from closing. My feet felt refreshed and looked good. Cost is about the same as everywhere else. If I could give zero I would. I've been to both locations and they are the same amount of horrible. -they refuse to push your cuticles, so any acrylic will lift. Guaranteed. -theyre more concerned about how fast they can finish than quality-theyve trained each other so the bad habits have been passed to ALL employees-they WILL cut your fingers, and then charge you more money (and their printed cost is NOT what you will be charged) -if you specify what you want,  be prepared to get the exact opposite. And they will all be uneven and crooked. Don't waste your money at EITHER VJ Nail location. Read Less

My daughter & I went here to have our nail tips removed, they did an awesome job! We decided to get the manicure with the gel for added strength for our natural nails. Our nails both look fabulous & I can tell they feel stronger with the gel added. We both also got our brows waxed and it was only $38 each for everything. When I first came here to get my nails done it, was alright the techs weren't friendly at all, and my nails looked ok. When I came back 2 weeks later for my fill the girl who did them didn't file them correctly and you can see were she sanded, the line that she left where my old acrylic is on the side of the nail, she didn't round the edges of the nail at all (even though I asked her to) then I got my eyebrows waxed because I figured I might as well while I was there. HUGE MISTAKE!!!! She took so much of my eyebrows off! Now instead of having nice eyebrows I have pencil thin ones!! Truely talented artists- I've never been so happy with nails as here. Not only is all the staff constantly making sure they do the best job, they are detail oriented and really friendly. The place is always immaculately clean. The acrylics last forever and look perfect. Pedicures- I've been tons of other places but never have I gotten such good treatments for the health-end of things and then the polish will last you a good month without chipping!!
