I'm really saddened I have to share this review but having the experience I had at New Image Spa was unacceptable. The therapist I had practiced some kind of bone massage on me when all I had asked for was a regular muscle massage and to focus on my shoulders. I left the spa with bruises, some on my arms and on my ribs as well. I had visited the spa multiple times and never had issues and thoroughly enjoyed myself with all the other therapists. Unfortunately I called and asked to talk to a manager. Jordan is the lady we had spoke to and all she tried to do was defend the therapist saying it's normal to leave with bruising because that's what she specializes in is bone therapy which I had never heard of nor did I ask for it. The manager should have just educated the therapist and at least refunded us or offered another massage that was of an appropriate time of what we had paid for prior. 😑 Not the most pleasant way to spend your first Mothers day. At least I got to come home to my little bundle of joy that made me a Mother! Read Less

You pay for the atmosphere, and it is a fabulously relaxing atmosphere. Staff is friendly. However, I got my eyebrows waxed and tinted and the final bill was $45. $45! I feel the price was extremely inflated for what was, in reality, a $25 service at best. I have since found another spa that better serves my needs, is just as professional, and doesn't break the bank for a simple wax and tint. Read Less

I am very impressed by the level of service and information I received from Michelle- who turned out to be the owner- as I called in today to discuss the options available for airbrush tanning. Michelle spent more than enough time to educate me and explain their process- not until the end of the call did I find out she was the owner. I got the girls spa day package as a gift for my wonderful bosses. They said it was pure heaven! It was great deal as far as price, but most of all it made the gesture of my appreciation for them priceless. Thank you for being such a great place this is a loyal customer who will be making sure all my loved ones get the best gift anyone could get! I am a spa tourist--it's my favorite thing to do on vacations. I have been to spas in places are nearby as Colorado and as far away as the Philippines, and there's only one way to say this: New Image is still the best of all of them in my opinion. Their facility is spotless and is built around the concepts of peace and relaxation. The entire experience from checking in to paying is always pleasant, never rushed. Their locker room is well-appointed with many additional comforts and their seemingly endless treatment rooms are always perfect in every way. Their therapists take a whole body-mind-spirit approach and always strive to make you comfortable. They never just "go through the motions" of a service. I have never once had a poor experience at this spa, and I have been going there for over 10 years now. They are truly exceptional, and, honestly, their prices could stand to be higher for the quality of service you receive. It is the only spa I will go to in Utah, and it is the spa to which I compare all my other spa experiences around the world. So far, nothing comes close. Read Less

This was actually my wife and not my experience. I had purchased a mothers day spa package for her and after months and months of coaxing, she finally decided to use it. She went in for a much needed massage, and I was excited for her to finally go get one. After returning home, she was almost in tears due to the experience she had. She did not give me all the details, but enough of them to get an idea of the terrible experience she had. She was paired up with a type of massage therapist I have never experienced. This therapist had my wife sticking her fingers in her own mouth to press on pressure points (wtf is that all about) and placing her hands on her to "feel the energy". I don't know what kind of massage this is, but my wife should have been given the option of getting a real massage, or a whatever the hell kind of massage she received. Very disappointed! Ok wow this place is great!! Here for a few days on business we called and they got us in the same day! $70 for 1 hr massage it was worth it. They use awesome hot towels on your feet and neck during massage. Take advantage of the check in to get the free 15 min steam shower it was the perfect ending to a great day! I really like this spa! I was quite impressed for Ogden and would definitely recommend. I LOVE their pedicures (especially with the gelish polish) but their pedicures seem overpriced. That would be my only complaint. All other services seem in line with other spas on pricing. The staff are friendly and its a relaxing environment. I wish they were open on Sunday! Read Less

I've been to a lot of different spas in Layton, Ogden and finally found one that I love and continue to go back to again and again. It's the only place I will take my Mom for a pedicure; she loves the chairs; there comfortable, massage, heat; the room is very relaxing. Would highly recommend! Read Less

I really debated whether to give this place 3, 4 or 5 stars... The treatments were wonderful, I decided to go with the luxury exfoliation followed by a 1-hour massage. Cassie was my therapist and she was awesome. She did a great job at creating a relaxing atmosphere (speaking quietly and not chatty, etc.), but more importantly she  was able to tune-in to me very well and the massage was one of the best I've had.I enjoyed the exfoliation too, though I think for the money the hour massage is probably the way to go.The 2 things I found lacking about the place were:1) the facilities - for $15 more the Kura Door down in SLC has a large steam room, Sauna, a meditation room and a tea room. New Image only has the single relaxation room. There are private steam rooms you can reserve for about $1 per minute (in 15 min negating the price difference from Kura Door), which would be great, but they don't turn it on until you get in, which means your 15 minutes are over right as it's finally getting hot! They also have a personal sauna (a little awkward in the middle of the hallway) which is free if reserved, but they also don't turn on until you get there, so you spend about 15-20 min waiting for that to heat up as well. A little extra  preparation would go a long way in making the facilities more enjoyable. 2) the other negative was the large group of  teachers (getting pedicures I think) who were complaining loudly about their students  and parents: "and THEN she said... and I was like, I CANNOT believe she would... and then do you know what she said to me?..." I don't want to hold the groups/people who come here against this place, and had I come 30 min later I would have missed that group all together, but my experience was what it was.Conclusion -5 Stars for Cassie - the Massage and Exfoliation3 Stars for the Facilities - could easily be better1 Star for the gaggle of gossiping gals, but not held against New Image... this time... (Note: we're not from Ogden/SLC, so we don't know how New Image measures up with other spa/massage facilities in the area.)My wife and I visited as part of a long Labor Day weekend holiday, and this place hit just the spot. Both of us have deep tissue needs, so this was no relaxing getaway. I have serious back problems from working in the high tech industry, and my wife has a build (thick back) that makes it difficult for her to get a good massage.Besides getting top-notch therapeutic massages from Cassie and Shelby, we were taken care of during our entire visit, from a clean and sanitized locker/changing room with robes & slippers to the quiet waiting area with snacks/drinks and lounge chairs to hangout until you're called. Seriously thee most amazing 4 hours of my life!!! I treated myself to the November Monthly special the Harvest Glow Retreat. The offer included a 60min pumpkin spice exfoliation, Vichy Shower waterfall, and 30 min rehydration for $65 dollars but I upgraded to 1.5 hour plus added on the extended massage and the total came to $135 and it was worth every penny!! Make sure you get to your apt early so you can bliss out in the relaxation room before your treatment. Before I started my heavenly full body exfoliation they put me in my own personal steam room for 20min then I was off to the Vichy shower room where I was pampered head to toe for 1.5 hours afterwards a 1hour massage for a total of 2hours and 50 min of pure bliss! Then you get to go into the dressing room and help yourself to their extensive line of spa products to sample from facial and body scrubs to hair spray. I spent another hour pampering myself before I headed out into the world a new woman. My therapist was Kristen and she was amazing!! The rest of the staff was very nice as well! Read Less

The customer service here is awesome!  Jordan is super personable and helped accommodate me way beyond what I expected.  If the owner is reading this I would like to congratulate you on hiring such a great shift leader; staff can make or break an experience (I promise you I have never met her before today, note I'm a CA local).  The facilities are new and spacious and I like how they aren't cheap with providing extra touches to enhance the customer experience (many options of flavored water  with electrolytes, tea, magazines/books, shampoo/conditioner/soap, and access to their custom products -which they allow you to test to try to get you to buy them but that's understandable).  When I am in town again I will definitely go back! While in Utah on my honeymoon, my husband I wanted to relax at a spa.  The set up at the New Image Day spa is perfect for a relaxing afternoon.  After changing into robes, they directed us into a quite relaxation room with teas and snacks.  We then were led back for our couples package and it was wonderful and relaxing.  Both masseuses were fantastic.  They asked questions and concentrated on our sore spots.  The massages ended with their delicious frozen grapes and a retreat back to the relaxation room.  I would definitely go back if I were in town again. I like this place a lot better since they moved from their old location.  The new digs are nice and I think it does have a relaxing environment to it.  Just like any spa the massage comes down to the masseuse, so sometimes here is it great other times it is just ok.  But the main reason that I didn't give a higher rating is because they have a tendency here to leave you in the waiting area too long and then still finish the massage on time which then shorts you on the amount of time you paid for.  I thought I was just imagining that but after talking to some friends they noticed the same thing, so make sure you watch that.
