Yes, yes, yes, yes!! This is one of the best salons I have been to and I've been to a lot from coast to coast. However I came to Veronica about 6 months ago and she has been by far the best nail tech I have been to. My nails don’t ever break she is extremely creative and I always leave extremely happy with her work. The staff is extremely friendly, it’s the ideal nail bar experience. Topcoat is amazing!  The girls are all so wonderful and dedicated to making it a great experience!   Crystal did a great job and is so open to feedback and willing to do anything!  The signature mani and pedi are ABSOLUTELY worth it!   I called to make an appt for three and they were able to accommodate us on a Saturday.  I came in with two others for the signature mani and signature pedi and they took care of all three of us and made us so comfortable.   They were even able to do all three of us together making our Girls Day Out even better! I had a signature mani/pedi with Nanci and it was absolutely fabulous! She was so professional and made sure everything was perfect and that I was happy with the nail shape, color, and finished product all along the way. I began my nail career at topcoat about 2 1/2 years ago, and it has been one of the best decisions I've ever made. I apprenticed with the owner, Jessica, and received the best education. Jess was always available for me one on one, and made efforts to teach me anything I was curious to learn. I have been at topcoat since 2015, and hope to stay for at least a while longer. I absolutely love my job, and would recommend an apprenticeship with Jessica to anyone interested in becoming a technician. Read Less

This complaint is about Jessica, the owner , and her apprenticeship program. I signed up for this back in October only to realize I had made a huge mistake. I signed up to pay her $1400 total and pay $200 a month til paid off. Well the problem is, she hardly set aside any time to teach me and the few times she did, I never got her full attention. She was always doing other things and very short tempered with me. I was patient for about 5 months (after paying $1000) and then I had had enough. I refused to make anymore payments til she invested more time into me and give me the help she promised. Now she is taking me to court to get the rest of the $400 from me! This has been a complete nightmare. Just wanted to get my story out so people are forewarned what they are getting themselves into with her apprenticeship program. Don't do it!***Update***An hour after I posted this, Jessica sent me this text threatening me if I didn't take down this post..."Due to the harassment, threats, and defamation of character -I am now obligated to take legal action against you. I am giving you until 8pm tonight to take down the posts. Should you choose not to remove your slandering remarks, you will be forcing me to press criminal charges, which I will promptly do so."She doesn't want her shortcomings to be shared. But her threats are not going to stop me from saving someone else from being screwed over. She removed my review from Facebook. Nancy was incredible! I called ahead at 6pm to see if someone might have time for a fill of my acrylic manicure and they said someone would. It took me about ten minutes to get to the salon where Nancy was ready to take me. Nancy took her time, made sure I was happy with the length and shape and frequently checked to make sure I didn't need anything and that I was happy with my manicure. I'll be back! Read Less

I have nothing but great things to say about top coat! I had previously attended a different nail program a couple years ago but but never got my license so I decided to restart and apprentice at Top coat Nail bar and I have to say it was absolutely worth it! Jessica would sit with me one on one to answer every question I had. I have now completed the program and I'm now a licensed nail tech! Absolutely love this place!!! I was fortunate enough to begin my journey with topcoat as a client, turned apprentice and now a nail tech instructor! I have had the best experience here! I was able to train as well as earn a living! How awesome is that!? I've only been doing this a little over a year and a half and am now an instructor with almost a full clientele. I get to do what I love while supporting my family and we'll I might add! Jessica is super passionate and patient with her students, while giving them freedom of expression in the nail world. Best manicure and pedicure you can find! Everyone here is incredible, talented, and friendly and the shellac manicures and pedicures are the best I've ever had. Great pedicure, nice clean place and the staff was very nice.I was flying out of town and wanted a pedicure before leaving SLC.  I called Topcoat because I was in the area and they were able to get me in within the hour.  My technician was and she did such an amazing job with my toes.  I brought a cute picture from Pinterest and asked if she could do something similar.  She said she was newer at doing nail art but she would try and if she couldn't there were plenty of other technicians that could help her.  She did such a great job, my toes turned out so cute.   I booked another appointment in one month.  I can't wait to pick another cute design but for now I will enjoy my sunset /palm tree toes.
