Stopped by for a simple fill and got a torture session! Filed off all the acrylic which then started burning my nails, then after he put the acrylic on and started filing kept getting my skin, ripped the skin away from under my nails! Made them so short that I could feel the skin under my nails get filed! Didn’t get oil or lotion like most places. Left with the sorest fingers ever! Will never go back! Great service at a good price. The pedicures are so inclusive. You aren't charged for every little treatment. Hot stones, paraffin wax, and massage are all included. My gel nails always look great and the workers are skilled and quick. They don't expect you to chat with them so you can just relax and enjoy yourself. BEWARE!!! They overcharge you! I took my girls for a night out of pampering.  It was disappointing to say the least. I paid $140.00 for 2 pedicures, a full regular set and a regular fill.  I tried to dispute the charge, but the technician had a hard time communicating with me.  I'm not sure if that was on purpose or not.I was also frustrated by the way they talked terrible about surrounding salons.  I've been a customer of L.A. nails for years.  They trash talked them and others. I thought that was tacky.  They were booked so I decided to give royal a try.  I had just had a fill 6 days ago.  I needed a fix on a chipped mail.  The tech pushed and pushed me that I needed an entire fill.  It was very uncomfortable.  So the price of a chipped nail was a fill, that apparently cost me about $45.00!! I made an appointment today for 1:30 but couldn’t get there until 1:45. They quickly got me seated even though I knew they were busy, and it was my fault I was late. Mio did a wonderful job with my pedicure. I’ve only ever had pedicures here but you can’t beat what they do for the price- $25 for pedicure including hot rocks, warm towels, paraffin, the whole works it feels. I went into Royal Nails located at 238 State St Pleasant Grove, Ut 84062 at around 11:00 am on 9/30/2017 to get a pedicure and manicure. I was there for about an hour, hour and a half. The level of service I was given was not worth what I paid. I have been getting manicures and pedicures since I was 13 and when you get both it takes at least 2 and a half hours to get them done perfectly. I have no problem paying $85.00 to get my nails done. I have done this before on multiple occasions. When I was done I was not given a total and asked how much I was going to tip. I WAS ASKED FOR A TIP! That is completely unprofessional and I couldn't believe I was asked that. I tried to talk to the merchant and explain that the level of service I was given and the way my nails turned out was not worth what I paid. I was willing to accept even a partial refund since they did use their products on me. And I am willing to pay for those products. The owner just yelled at me and said that they give pedicures differently. I told her that is fine ill pay for the terrible pedicure I was given but that I would have to go somewhere else to get my nails done because they were all different shapes, lengths and thicknesses. I took my husbands mom and his sister Tweet yesterday. Their first time EVER getting a pedicure. The person who did tweets got nail polish all over her feet and didn't fix it. The person who did my husbands mom made a "yuck" face when she had to start doing her feet. And my person didn't say one word to me till the very end asking for a freakin TIP. Like who does that? I have been here many times.  I usually have them do a mani and pedi.  They are quick yet efficient.  I like that they do the wax as part of the pedi, and also the hot rocks and pressure points.  Their prices are amazing compared to other places and what you get here.  I will continue to go there and refer friends and family.  Remember to be patient with their language barrier. Treated like a second class citizen, my daughter and I went for her birthday, I walked in and said we both would like a manicure and pedicure, well with the pedicure they made us share a sit (there was only one other customer there) which was highly uncomfortable. They rushed through it and did not take the time to get all the dead skin off my feet and did nothing but soak my daughter's feet and paint them. Then they said nothing to me about a manicure so we went and sat at the station and waited for a long time. well they took my daughter's sit away for another customer (there where many seats open I don't know why they put her in my daughter's seat she was sitting at) the other lady was almost done before they got to us. I told my daughter to take my seat and I stood and waited for them to just paint her nails when I asked for a full manicure (they did not even suggest us to move for us to be together or ask the other lady to move) then I got my nails done and my daughter had to sit else were to wait for me. I paid there full prices and even left a $20 tip but I will never return nor do I recommend anyone going. It ruined my daughter birthday and it's the next day and both our feet and nail polish have half fallen off and they look sloppy. As I stood there and watched how there company was ran it reminded me of a meat pack farm, shuffle people in and quickly get them out! They need to take off there sign that says 'day spa' it's more of assembly line than spa, a spa your supposed to relax feel pampered and that's what we did not fell. I gave a good tip in hopes that that lady puts it to a better future because that place was horrible, a beauty school would have felt and done better then that, and as for the good reviews I'm guessing they don't know better or have actually gone to a decent place before. My fiancé went here this is the review she wanted to write: I never write reviews, but I had such a horrible expience at this place. It was the worst service I've expienced. When I went in to get my nails done for my wedding, the lady was really impatient while I was picking out the color. She did a horrible job on my nails. She didn't even push down my cuticles, and the nail polish was not straight across or even near the cuticles. The nail that had the design was smudged and the letters were very inconsistent. On the positive side, I liked the acrylic nails; She just did a horrible job with painting them and doing the design. I told her what I didn't like about it, she was so rude about it and somehow she made it worse when she tried to fix it. So I told her again what I didn't like about it (i wasn't even being overly picky!). She was upset that I complained. After that she would not even look at me or talk or anything. Finally, I gave up and went somewhere else to get them done and they did awesome. When I made a complaint to Royal nails and let them know about my service and how this was very important to me because these were my wedding nails, they did not even care what I had to say. This is the second time coming here because a friend told me it was a good place. Hard to understand what they are saying. They are rude, and hurry up to do the work as if they are getting paid per client that they take care off. The chemicals hurt and burn. They cut me a few times. I love the pedicures here.  They use hot rocks and they dip your feet in a hot wax. Getting my nails done as a different story. Sometimes they are rude and in a hurry. Overall I still go to them but would go somewhere else if I just find something closer and better. Read Less

Went in on my lunch break and I was seated right away! The girl that did my nails was super nice and added a cute heart for Valentine's Day on my ring finger nail for no extra charge. Was pleasantly surprised by the quality of work and the amazing prices! I got a manicure, shellac, and a cute heart on my nail for $25! All in all it was a great experience and will most likely be back tomorrow for a pedicure! Read Less

I broke a nail at work needed to get it fixed. My regular nail salon was busy so I stopped by here. I asked for the price on fixing my nail and nail polish change, they couldn't tell me, they said that they had to wait and see. I sit down to get my nail fixed they tell me it's going to be $25 to get my nail fixed and a simple two-tone nail polish design. I thought that was a little much so I just opted to get my nail fixed. They sent me down on the chair stuck my finger in a dirty jar with dirty sponge full of acetone, and left me there for 10 minutes while they went to go work on someone else. When they finally came back to me she could barely answer my questions because she kept looking around to see what somebody else needed. She put the tip on my nail and went to cut it down (stelleto style) and she nearly clipped the side of my finger because she couldn't pay attention to what she was doing!!! She barely apologized, put the acrylic on my nail and left me again. Another person came and sat by me and the lady that supposed be working on my nail would rather wait for the other girl to make up her mind up about what shellac she wants. I understand that she was going to make more money doing the other girls nails, but I just had a simple fix, she could have gave me the respect as a customer that I deserved and had me on my way. I would've been a happy person and maybe would've come back to the salon another time. This place is really, price is the same as better salons which is weird because they were really busy. If you have real nails, DO NOT GO HERE! They don't seem to understand real nails and will sand them down to nothing. I got my nails done last week with shellac/gel. Not only did he sand the old color off (with a tool that looks like a dremel), the guy kept sanding! I had to pull my hand away repeatedly and ask him to stop before he finally understood enough. He then proceeded to file my nails into claws, narrowing too much, but with a blunt end. Even with the layers of shellac on them, my nails now feel thin and they hurt. Today, another nail broke. That makes four. All down to the skin because they're too thin. I will say their pedicures are fine; never had a problem. And the artwork I got on my ring finger is really pretty (although it's a five petal flower and I kept asking for something *besides* the same ol' flower; at least this one has more than one color). A friend recommended Royal Nails because she's been going here for awhile. Her pedis are always SO cute! Their polish selection is really good, and they're quick. The pedi includes a paraffin wax, leg and foot massage, and hot stones (if you choose plain polish - you can also opt for a design free of charge). I got a teal pedi with glitter overlay on the big toes starting at the nail bed, and it was all included in the base price. The hot stones were lovely! Unfortunately, my particular aesthetician didn't spend any time on my rough skin and left almost all of it. For the price, you get a pretty great "package," but the quality didn't match up for me.
