I went in and asked for a simple drip design, so it looked like black nail polish was dripping over a holographic polish I picked. Not only was the design incredibly sloppy, it’s look absolutely nothing like what I asked for, also the holographic powder she put on my nails, just looked like glitter, I know she just didn’t rub enough pigment into my nail, it also looked nothing like the display the had out, and the lady seemed to be in a rush to get my nails done, she didn’t care about the quality. Their sole focus, aside from doing your nails, is to provide their guests with exceptional customer service. I've been coming to this nail salon for nearly a year. I refer all my friends/family members to them. I typically get a gel manicure by Jenny, Jeff, Mimi and/or Annie. The one time I disliked my gel set, the Owner Jenny made sure to address it. Galaxy Nails is really clean and everyone is really nice, but I got a $35 shellac pedicure from them menu and had them use shellac to paint my nails. I did plain color! They charged me $90. They are so over priced I have gone to other places and paid less.Update it has been 1 week and the shellac has already peeled off all my nails. Gel polish should be lasting up to 6 weeks. Finally found my go to place for nails! I absolutely love it here! The owner is always there making sure everyone is happy and things are running smoothly. Everyone is so nice!! I've had Tammy, Sandy, and Jenny do my nails and pedicure and they were ALL amazing!! Sandy gave me the best massage and pedicure I've ever had last weekend. I am beyond impressed. The only negatives to this place was the wait was a little long even with an appt, about 45 minutes but I overheard the owner saying they were down three people so oh well. Also, they don't soak off nails, they just slide a file between the acrylic nail and your own nails and I HAAAAATE that, it hurts so much! But even still, neither of those things were worth less stars because the nails I ended up with are literally perfect. I had Sandy do my nails and she was not only super sweet but she took about an hour because she's SO detail oriented. Which as a nail biter who will pick at any lump, bump, or scratchy bit I appreciate the amount of time she took because I have ZERO complaints, which I don't think I've ever said about a set of acrylics. I just want to warn everyone about this place! If you go here, you won't ever be able to go anywhere else!! Haha, this place is that good! They have the highest level of cleanliness I've ever seen. It's feels sterile like a doctor's office. They have an air purification system (air vacuum tubes at every station), it doesn't smell like your typical nail salon. They use new plastic wrapped pumice stones on every customer, then discard them. The water tubs are lined. They sanitize their tools in some kind special oven. The overall feel of the shop is bright, airy, and modern.They have a huge selection of polishes, gels, powders, glitters, etc. They have lots of different treatment options available. They do try hard to upsell you, but that's to be expected especially because they offer so many different products, like oils, aromatherapy, masks, creams, etc.I had Jeff, the owner, work on me. He talked the whole time, but wasn't annoying one bit. He's funny, smart, and interesting. He did a fantastic job on my feet, spending forever buffing away my thick calluses. He treats his workers very well, grateful for their service, and is humble about his thriving business. He is clearly focused on building relationships, knowing that is what brings the money in. Had great service at the Murray location. Had the $35 pedicure. It lasted a full hour with a nice paraffin wax and an amazing foot massage by Claire. Had a simple acrylic fill with Cindy that was super reasonably priced at $18 and done well. The owners and staff are very friendly and the shop is clean and well appointed with plenty of chairs and equipment that is well maintained. My first visit to Galaxy Nails was great. I walked in without an appointment (it was Monday afternoon so definitely less busy) and was seen right away. Tony did an amazing job!! I got the powder dipped nails for the first time (with tips since my natural nails were so short). Usually when I've had acrylics put on each nail looks a little different, but not this time. I came here to get a gel manicure and a pedicure.  I really wanted to be able to have a nice pedicure and be able to relax but it turned out to be one of the worst pedicures I've had. They probably only took about 10 minutes on my feet, not even a nice massage and it felt rushed. The gel didn't even stay on my nails for a week! I spent  $65 for a service that was not worth it! I've been to many places and for the price I could of gone somewhere much nicer and felt like I was getting my monies worth. I don't understand how they have great reviews? On the positive side the salon was very nice looking and clean. The staff was nice too but it just wasn't what I was hoping it would. I don't plan on going back. Very clean & friendly but they ALWAYS try to upsell their nails and if you're on a budget, you can't afford $50 everyone you go in. If you want just basic acrylic and nothing fancy, they act like they don't want to do your nails & pawn you off on someone else. This has to be the best nail salon in Utah hands down, the quality service I received today was amazing, this also has to be the cleanest nail salon I have ever been to, no tools are re-used and all the tubs are wrapped in a plastic covering after each use so no one is touching the same sink and you always see them opening new tools to use. My nail technician was Mimi and she did such a great job, I absolutely love my nails. They have a wide selection of colors and nail art options and are willing to try anything.
