I am trying to find a good nail place just for gel shellac. My nails from Layton Nails lasted 3 weeks straight. I went here just to compare, and first off the incense was a little much for a “spa setting”. Also once my nails were completely done she went through and FILED off any ‘bumps’ and imperfection on three of my nails. This completely defeats the purpose of the clear coat. Will not come here again. My sister and I both got our nails done (Shellac gel) on Thursday evening. By Friday morning, my sister had several chips. She went into Michelle and was told the the chips on the end of her nails were due to nail growth. Michelle offered her nothing as a fix. Unbeknownst to me, I had gone back in for a pedicure later that day so my toes matched my fingers. Within 24-hours I also have significantly chipped nails and toes. Not worth the $70 I paid. Very disappointed in the quality. Been getting shellac for years down the street at another salon, and I can always go 2-3 weeks without a problem or a chip. Right now 5 fingers and 2 toes chipped, within 24-hours. Not due to nail growth. I think it's the additional filing that was done after top coat was applied.Definitely won't be back. Read Less

They have a big banner "Walk-In-Welcome, well I went with a friend and first thing the owner asked in a very rude voice, "Do you have an appointment"? we said no, your sign says "Walk - In -Welcome" she said pick out a color, i'll try to get to you....we left and went to Walmart and had a VERY pleasant experience and were welcomed by all the staff and it was very busy. They are so nice and extremely sanitary! I have not seen another salon put as much effort into keeping their pedicure chairs clean. They also use high quality product. My friend, who normally has mild reactions to lotions used during pedicures, had no reaction at all. The owner is so sweet and personable. We will definitely be repeat customers. Thanks Michelle! This place is a little out of the way for me but I love the way Michelle does my nails. Everytime I go somewhere else, my nail tips lift within a week or two and I just end up going to Michelle to get them fixed anyway. Also, I can get a full set in a quick amount of time, usually within 15-20 minutes. Read Less

Abhorrent place. They cut my foot open when I was getting a pedicure (which it sounds like happens often because another woman said the same thing). They cut my toenails horrifically and I got an ingrown toenail from it. I was so disappointed, and I would never go here again. Read Less

You guys. Michelle's Nails is my favorite place. Michelle herself is the sweetest person, and a very good nail do-er. I have been there many times over the years and have never had anything less than a great experience. I have done everything from a basic mani-pedi to shellac and acrylic. The pedicure experience here is great, my feet were smooth and the leg massage was the best. When I got acrylic nails for the first time they were done by Michelle, and she was very accommodating and understanding of what I wanted and did a great job. Michelle is loud and rude, her equipment is not clean. I went in once for a shellac service, which I liked. The second time however she charged me $10 more than the first time, the cut open my cuticles 3 days later they are still sore and tender. After getting home I noticed that she didn't go low enough on my nail, it looked like a weeks worth of grow out, I went back to have them fixed and she acted like my nails grew a weeks worth in a day. If I could give this place a zero I would . I went in for a pedicure with my girlfriend , when the nail tech was started using the tool to cut my cuticles he sliced my toe open . It wouldn't stop bleeding even after they used the blue solution so he insisted using glue . I am pregnant and don't want entering my blood stream . Then one of the ladies had the nerve to tell me that because I'm pregnant makes me more sensitive and that is why this happened . I typically get a pedicure every other week , from a more professional nail salon, and have never been sensitive!! Anyways going through the rest of the pedicure he didn't remove the rough spots off my bottom of my feet and when I was getting my 3 min massage he said he didn't want to apply more pressure because he didn't want to hurt me . I took my 82 year old MIL for a manicure here. The nail tech proceeded to cut her nails off without even asking if she wanted them short. Luckily she was able to stop him. Also, he didn't  remove the old polish before he painted her nails. The price for a manicure was listed at $15+. I was charged $20 for a manicure that was woth maybe $10. Read Less
