So I've been coming here for a while and there's always been little problems that I have overlooked but recently when I have gone in to get my acrylic nails done the have cut my cuticles and basically shaved the sides of my nail where the skin is. They have been very rough and whenever they do cut me the don't apologize the just hand me a paper towel with rubbing alcohol which hurts. However, my nails always turn out really nice they're just very rough, and I end up leaving with bloody cuticles and that's enough for me to never come back.

So sorry to write this review. But I have never have had a bad pedicure ever. It looked like a two year old painted my toe nails yesterday at Number One Nail Salon. First of all, he nicked my toe on my left foot and I said, this does not feel good. He said, he did nothing to me. Then I noticed each employee do not have their own sanitized clippers, filing boards or sponges they scrub your feet with. They are all in the drawer by their seats and they share with the employee sitting next to them. These are being used on every customer!!!! I noticed this, because I started watching all their employees. They all do this. This is not sanitary!!! When the guy said, he was done and go over there and sit to dry because he had five other people waiting and not to mention all of the seats were full with other customers getting pedicures. I asked him this is not a good pedicure. I also said, I'm sorry, can you re-do the painting. It's not good. He acting like he was put out. Then he had another employee come over and finish painting my toe nails. She then said go sit over there to dry. She took my flip flops dropped them on he floor and looked at me. Then I said, you want me to walk bare foot on the dirty floor?? She looked at me and started walking liked I asked her to climb Mt. Everest with her head back then she brought me the pedicure flip flops that every salon supplies to their customers after they get a pedi and she dropped them by me and said here you go. She then shoved them on my feet and said, go sit over there. Never will I go back to Number One Nail Salon. They have unsanitary clippers, nail files and sponges to scrub the bottom of your feet with! These are being used on every customer! I hope I don't get an infection or some sort of foot disease!!! Not happy with this place.

I don’t usually get manicures or pedicures but I went and Tina did mine she was super gentle and I didn’t wait long they have a lot of staff and move you through. I just got my toes regular painted and it’s been three weeks and they still aren’t chipping and the gems are still on my toes too.
They also treated my four year old daughter like a princess and did her nails and a cute design on her toes and it was really affordable compared to other places I will go back again very soon!

We went in today and I mentioned I wanted a father/daughter pedicure. They said it would be an hour wait (not an issue) so we came back in 30 minutes thinking we would wait and they started with my daughter right away. Since they were faster than expected, and because she enjoyed her pedicure I'm giving this two stars instead of one. However, I mentioned it was for both of us and I just sat there waiting for them to call me over. I was expecting a wait so that wasn't an issue, but about 40 minutes later when my daughter was nearly finished a new person walked in and was immediately seated ahead of me. No one bothered to look up or even address me, the staff were rather cold and when I directly asked the male worker if they even serve male customers he said yes and just blankly looked at me. I hope they enjoyed my paying for my daughter's pedicure because its the only business they'll get from me.

The absolutely rudest owner in denver. After going there for years, in SPITE, of the nasty owner Wendy, she had the nerve to yell at my husband yesterday. Due to his job as a physician he had to cancel 2 appointments recently because he was called into the hospital for 2 emergencies. She tried to shame him and then told him she was going to charge him DOUBLE (the already expensive prices) on his next visit. She refused to listen to explanation and was beyond nasty. There are... many other nail salons, i will continue to tell EVERYONE that Wendy's is THE WORST place. Not due to her technicians, but due to her ABSOLUTELY repulsive attitude. We even asked Wendy, "what if it was one your loved ones who needed emergency surgery? How would you feel if your dr. Chose a pedicure over helping save your loved ones life??! ". I just read a google review from a young man who speaks Vietnamese and witnessed on every one of the three occasions he was there, the staff speaking rudely and making nasty remarks about customers in Vietnamese! The man who runs the place is beyond rude and has no business running the place. I've watched them not sanatize their tools and use on the same customers!! RUDE PEOPLE AND DIRTY!

I am male and enjoy occasional manicures. I've been to this nail salon a number of times but recently was my last time I'll ever step foot in there. The staff are rude and do not treat their customers well. They speak in Vietnamese with each other talking negatively and making fun of unsuspecting customers. I understand the language and every time i have visited I've witnessed the Apauling remarks they make about almost every customer! The man that runs the place is rude and should be fired! There are many nail salons in the area to choose from. Don't use this one!!!

I should have listed to the other reviews I read and stayed away. They don't properly sanitize their instruments or clean the tubs after each use. I watched them simply rinse the jet tub out with water between clients. I also watched them use the same tools and nail files on clients without properly sanitizing like your supposed to BY LAW! Not to mention they are RUDE!! They act like your bothering them when you ask for a service and while they are doing the service. Crapy attitudes by the couple who run it! I will never go back!

I had a terrible customer service experience! I was just charged for a polish change after my gel manicure became discolored though I was told that the salon would fix it. I have been a consistent customer but last week I got a gel manicure in a neutral color and the next day (while out of town) my nails started to get strange brown stains on them. I called when back in town and shared what happened and was told to come in to have a polish change. When I arrived, Wendy asked... a bunch of question and offered what could have caused the stain--no, I don't use self tanner; no, I don't die my hair; etc. We chose another color and I sat down. After a great polish change I went to leave and was told what I owed. I was furious. I was told they would fix it, never sharing that I would need to pay the $28 plus tip as if I just wanted a new color. They have lost my business and I hope no one else has this terrible experience. I do like the no frills of this place but sadly I will no longer patronize this establishment. Once My brother-in-law bought me a gift certificate here, but lost it. He had the receipt. So I took in the receipt and told them and they wouldn't except it. He bought it the day before! I couldn't believe they were so unforgiving. So I bought my pedicure anyway. Then recently I went with the gift certificate, and they wouldn't except it because it had expired a couple months before. First off, what salon gift certificate expires after six months? Again, I can't believe they wouldn't accept it. A couple months late! I had the certificate right there, it was money that we paid to them! I realize on both occasions it was my fault, but a good business-minded person should know you can make a customer for life by overlooking insignificant details. Instead I would be writing a glowing review of their customer service.

When you do get in on time and/or it's not busy it'll be a good experience. There are times I do come in and leave happy. Just depends on how busy they are. Not the best I've been to, but it's not the worst.

I'm sorry but this really did not turn out as I expected. I thought this was a simple design. And I figure, if you don't know how to do leopard print, don't pretend you know how. I feel that if someone walks out of a hair salon with a messed up perm, the business would lose business based off of the obvious. I should not have been let out of there with this set. He was a nice guy but the skill was not impressive. I will come back to this location but I will not allow him to do my nails again. The appearance of my nails actually made me cry in my car once I got to it. That is a bad feeling.

(unlike other places where within a week they peel off.) tons of colors, clean, and fast (but in a good way) The pedi I received was better then most. Hot towels on legs and gel top coat. The color of the walls and pedi chairs could be updated but not a big deal. Overall happy!

I came here for a gel manicure and was thoroughly unimpressed by the service, and the manicure itself. No horror stories really, but with so many good salons, why go here? It's definitely worth paying an extra $5-10 to get a clean, long-lasting manicure elsewhere.The place is not terribly clean, and I doubt they are fully sanitizing all their equipment. It looks like they are reusing files from customer to customer, for instance. I won't go back for that reason alone - salons should fully sanitize/replace all their equipment between customers, including files and buffers. To not do so puts people at risk of fungal infections and worse.As for service, my manicure was done by the lone man working there (not a problem for me), and he clearly had little interest in doing a high quality job. After he was "done" I had to point out numerous spots where he had not finishing filing - like big jagged spots! Then, there was also a LOT of gel left around and under my fingernails. Not wanting to bother explaining that no, he was not done with my nails, I just went home and finished it myself. He was definitely rushing the entire manicure and it showed. Additionally, the final product was mediocre at best. It's not TERRIBLE, but not good. Gel manicures should last at least a week - it's day three and I already have numerous chips despite not doing anything besides type and do dishes, etc. Also, many of the lines (I got a French tip) are uneven. It looks okay (apart from the chips) but if the manicurist had slowed down for half second, I think it would have turned out better.

Will never go back to this nail salon again!! I went there with my little sister to get a full set and pedicures. They did my little sister nails with glitter and missed a huge spot. When I commented on how there needs to be more glitter in that spot the lady who did her nails told me she couldn't do it because her nails were " dirty". As I was leaving I mentioned I wasn't coming back and I didn't tip them, they finally did something about it. While she was fixing her nail, surprisingly it wasn't too dirty to fix, she proceeded to call me a "brat" the whole time fixing it. I'm sorry but if I am paying good money for nails, I want them to be done correctly. Please don't make a lame excuse to not fix your mistake and call me a brat for wanting them fixed. Bottom line, worst service I have had in a nail salon.

Massage chairs for the back and hot towels on the legs to boot? Sign me up! My polish always looks great and lasts until the next pedicure. They consistently earn a 50% tip from me.

I am in search of the best nail salon in South Davis County. Overall, I liked this one. They are fast, efficient, and their technical skills exceeded my expectations. Seemed like they had enough staff to keep the walk-ins accommodated. But, where we lost the fifth star was cleanliness. I am always impressed when a salon uses tools that come out of a sealed package, or fresh out of the autoclave. That did not happen here. I felt like the cleanliness was just average. Or maybe a little less than average. I'm looking for something more. Also, I felt hurried, like cattle. It was not necessarily a relaxing experience. More like a chore. I would probably return, but this is not the 5 star salon I am seeking.

This was my go-to salon when I used to live down the street, and it still is when I come to visit. During one of my last trips to Utah my 4-day-old gel manicure that had been done in California started peeling. The man who re-did my nails pointed out that a base coat had not been used and then took his time re-doing my nails, even with a bunch of traveling and activity the manicure I had here lasted me nearly three weeks. They also gave me a fantastic and relaxing pedicure, making sure my tootsies looked awesome. If you're looking for a nail salon in Bountiful this is the one I recommend first

They are all in the drawer by their seats and they share with the employee sitting next to them. These are being used on every customer!!!! I noticed this, because I started watching all their employees. They all do this. This is not sanitary!!! When the guy said, he was done and go over there and sit to dry because he had five other people waiting and not to mention all of the seats were full with other customers getting pedicures. I asked him this is not a good pedicure. I also said, I'm sorry, can you re-do the painting. It's not good. He acting like he was put out. Then he had another employee come over and finish painting my toe nails. She then said go sit over there to dry. She took my flip flops dropped them on he floor and looked at me. Then I said, you want me to walk bare foot on the dirty floor?? She looked at me and started walking liked I asked her to climb Mt. Everest with her head back then she brought me the pedicure flip flops that every salon supplies to their customers after they get a pedi and she dropped them by me and said here you go. She then shoved them on my feet and said, go sit over there. Never will I go back to Number One Nail Salon. They have unsanitary clippers, nail files and sponges to scrub the bottom of your feet with! These are being used on every customer! I hope I don't get an infection or some sort of foot disease!!! Not happy with this place.

I don’t usually get manicures or pedicures but I went and Tina did mine she was super gentle and I didn’t wait long they have a lot of staff and move you through. I just got my toes regular painted and it’s been three weeks and they still aren’t chipping and the gems are still on my toes too.
They also treated my four year old daughter like a princess and did her nails and a cute design on her toes and it was really affordable compared to other places I will go back again very soon!

We went in today and I mentioned I wanted a father/daughter pedicure. They said it would be an hour wait (not an issue) so we came back in 30 minutes thinking we would wait and they started with my daughter right away. Since they were faster than expected, and because she enjoyed her pedicure I'm giving this two stars instead of one. However, I mentioned it was for both of us and I just sat there waiting for them to call me over. I was expecting a wait so that wasn't an issue, but about 40 minutes later when my daughter was nearly finished a new person walked in and was immediately seated ahead of me. No one bothered to look up or even address me, the staff were rather cold and when I directly asked the male worker if they even serve male customers he said yes and just blankly looked at me. I hope they enjoyed my paying for my daughter's pedicure because its the only business they'll get from me.

Due to his job as a physician he had to cancel 2 appointments recently because he was called into the hospital for 2 emergencies. She tried to shame him and then told him she was going to charge him DOUBLE (the already expensive prices) on his next visit. She refused to listen to explanation and was beyond nasty. The staff are rude and do not treat their customers well. They speak in Vietnamese with each other talking negatively and making fun of unsuspecting customers. I understand the language and every time i have visited I've witnessed the Apauling remarks they make about almost every customer! The man that runs the place is rude and should be fired! There are many nail salons in the area to choose from. Don't use this one!!!

I should have listed to the other reviews I read and stayed away. They don't properly sanitize their instruments or clean the tubs after each use. I watched them simply rinse the jet tub out with water between clients. I also watched them use the same tools and nail files on clients without properly sanitizing like your supposed to BY LAW! Not to mention they are RUDE!! They act like your bothering them when you ask for a service and while they are doing the service. Crapy attitudes by the couple who run it! I will never go back!

I had a terrible customer service experience! I was just charged for a polish change after my gel manicure became discolored though I was told that the salon would fix it. I have been a consistent customer but last week I got a gel manicure in a neutral color and the next day (while out of town) my nails started to get strange brown stains on them. I called when back in town and shared what happened and was told to come in to have a polish change. When I arrived, Wendy asked... a bunch of question and offered what could have caused the stain--no, I don't use self tanner; no, I don't die my hair; etc. We chose another color and I sat down. After a great polish change I went to leave and was told what I owed. I was furious. I was told they would fix it, never sharing that I would need to pay the $28 plus tip as if I just wanted a new color. They have lost my business and I hope no one else has this terrible experience. I do like the no frills of this place but sadly I will no longer patronize this establishment. Once My brother-in-law bought me a gift certificate here, but lost it. He had the receipt. So I took in the receipt and told them and they wouldn't except it. He bought it the day before! I couldn't believe they were so unforgiving. So I bought my pedicure anyway. Then recently I went with the gift certificate, and they wouldn't except it because it had expired a couple months before. First off, what salon gift certificate expires after six months? Again, I can't believe they wouldn't accept it. A couple months late! I had the certificate right there, it was money that we paid to them! I realize on both occasions it was my fault, but a good business-minded person should know you can make a customer for life by overlooking insignificant details. Instead I would be writing a glowing review of their customer service.

When you do get in on time and/or it's not busy it'll be a good experience. There are times I do come in and leave happy. Just depends on how busy they are. Not the best I've been to, but it's not the worst.

I'm sorry but this really did not turn out as I expected. I thought this was a simple design. And I figure, if you don't know how to do leopard print, don't pretend you know how. I feel that if someone walks out of a hair salon with a messed up perm, the business would lose business based off of the obvious. I should not have been let out of there with this set. He was a nice guy but the skill was not impressive. I will come back to this location but I will not allow him to do my nails again. The appearance of my nails actually made me cry in my car once I got to it. That is a bad feeling.

(unlike other places where within a week they peel off.) tons of colors, clean, and fast (but in a good way) The pedi I received was better then most. Hot towels on legs and gel top coat. The color of the walls and pedi chairs could be updated but not a big deal. Overall happy!

I came here for a gel manicure and was thoroughly unimpressed by the service, and the manicure itself. No horror stories really, but with so many good salons, why go here? It's definitely worth paying an extra $5-10 to get a clean, long-lasting manicure elsewhere.The place is not terribly clean, and I doubt they are fully sanitizing all their equipment. It looks like they are reusing files from customer to customer, for instance. I won't go back for that reason alone - salons should fully sanitize/replace all their equipment between customers, including files and buffers. To not do so puts people at risk of fungal infections and worse.As for service, my manicure was done by the lone man working there (not a problem for me), and he clearly had little interest in doing a high quality job. After he was "done" I had to point out numerous spots where he had not finishing filing - like big jagged spots! Then, there was also a LOT of gel left around and under my fingernails. Not wanting to bother explaining that no, he was not done with my nails, I just went home and finished it myself. He was definitely rushing the entire manicure and it showed. Additionally, the final product was mediocre at best. It's not TERRIBLE, but not good. Gel manicures should last at least a week - it's day three and I already have numerous chips despite not doing anything besides type and do dishes, etc. Also, many of the lines (I got a French tip) are uneven. It looks okay (apart from the chips) but if the manicurist had slowed down for half second, I think it would have turned out better.

When I commented on how there needs to be more glitter in that spot the lady who did her nails told me she couldn't do it because her nails were " dirty". As I was leaving I mentioned I wasn't coming back and I didn't tip them, they finally did something about it. While she was fixing her nail, surprisingly it wasn't too dirty to fix, she proceeded to call me a "brat" the whole time fixing it. I'm sorry but if I am paying good money for nails, I want them to be done correctly. Please don't make a lame excuse to not fix your mistake and call me a brat for wanting them fixed. Bottom line, worst service I have had in a nail salon.

I am in search of the best nail salon in South Davis County. Overall, I liked this one. They are fast, efficient, and their technical skills exceeded my expectations. Seemed like they had enough staff to keep the walk-ins accommodated. But, where we lost the fifth star was cleanliness. I am always impressed when a salon uses tools that come out of a sealed package, or fresh out of the autoclave. That did not happen here. I felt like the cleanliness was just average. Or maybe a little less than average. I'm looking for something more. Also, I felt hurried, like cattle. It was not necessarily a relaxing experience. More like a chore. I would probably return, but this is not the 5 star salon I am seeking.

This was my go-to salon when I used to live down the street, and it still is when I come to visit. During one of my last trips to Utah my 4-day-old gel manicure that had been done in California started peeling. The man who re-did my nails pointed out that a base coat had not been used and then took his time re-doing my nails, even with a bunch of traveling and activity the manicure I had here lasted me nearly three weeks. They also gave me a fantastic and relaxing pedicure, making sure my tootsies looked awesome. If you're looking for a nail salon in Bountiful this is the one I recommend first
