Very mediocre service, prices are too high for the service that they are providing. They absolutely lost me when they offered wine in a plastic glass! I'm very satisfied and glad I came here. They really take the time to do a good job and perfect what you want. I was lucky to find this place. I moved into the area a few months ago and was able to waltz in here one day not realizing that I would keep coming back. It is a nice and clean establishment. I love The Nail Bar!! I've been going to them and only them for at least the past 6 months or so. The owner, Kevin, is extremely nice and attentive. When it comes to Nexgen manicures, I highly recommend Tammy. I go to her every time and she does an amazing job. I also get pedicures from other staff members and haven't had a bad experience. I started going to The Nail Bar when I lived in Austin Ranch because it was convenient and close, but now I live in Carrollton and continue to go because they're just that good! Highly recommend! I love this place!! I decided to get Nexgen for the first time last spring after noticing so many nice results on friends and coworkers. I was worried about damage to my nails after a nightmare experience with acrylic years ago, but after my first visit at Nail Bar in Austin Ranch in The Colony, I'm so glad I gave out a chance. Tammy is my AMAZINGLY talented artist technician there! I'm squeamish about having nails done, but Tammy puts me at ease, and does beautiful work! The salon is beautiful, the people are nice, the prices are fair, they have tons of colors available and I've been very happy with my nails for almost a year as a regular client there. I really like this place, they're super nice and accommodating.Tammy always does a great job on my nails.I was not a believer in the dip powder only because they always turn out so thick and lumpy but Tammy made sure my nails look thin and natural as possible. I went here (a walk-in) a couple of weeks ago for a nexgen manicure. The atmosphere was nice, relaxing, and the place seemed very clean. I was very satisfied with my manicure and have reached out to schedule a new appointment for a new set. If you're in the area, you should give them a shot! I am happy and will be a repeat customer.**EDIT**I went here a second time for a nexgen manicure. The manicurist was very nice and professional and initially I LOVED my manicure. He did not make it very thick - it looked like a great "regular" manicure. However, less than one week later, my nexgen is chipped in multiple places. One week! This manicure is way too expensive to only last one week. 4 nails have chipped considerably. I sit at a desk all day and haven't done any difficult work or anything tough with my hands. They have a wide selection of nexgen colors, more than I have seen at other salons. I love my nails I got from them. Fullset nexgen with coffin shape was 34$. I went during happy hour on a wednesday and it wasn't busy at all, so I got seated instantly. Really good deal and really good quality. Highly reccomend!! Read Less

Second time going and I have found the nail salon I've been looking for! Great customer service and friendly staff. I got acrylic and paint, it's usually 30$ butThey were gracious to take of 5$ because of the wait. The artist took her time and through out each step asked me if I liked it. I messaged around 415pm, 45 mins ahead of time to see if they have availability to do gel manicure and pedicure set. Within less than 10 mins, Kevin replied and got me an appointment at 5pm on a Tuesday afternoon. This nail salon recently changed management and I really wanted to give them a shot. It is a 5 min walk for me and it would be awesome to have a go-to place near home.As I walked in I was quickly greeted by a receptionist, she checked if I had an appointment and what for. She handed me tons and tons of gel swatches to choose from. Took me maybe 3-5 mins to figure out what I wanted because goodness I had so many options! They didn't rush me or anything. Once a picked my colors, the receptionist guided me to my chair. Two people walked up and started to work! Manicure: Henry did my manicure, with #62, it's a light purple, the layers came out a little thicker than I expected but overall the brush strokes were even. He took meticulous time cleaning my cuticles, I am not usually impressed by the cleaning. By the end, there are a few strays but at least overall my cuticles are clean and it was not painful at all. Massage at the end was very minimal, mostly focus on the forearm. Pedicure: Mimi work was probably my favorite thus far. I got almost a perfect blue teal #40 gel. She took extra care of my cuticles throughout the process, the layer of polish is much more even and doesn't have that "thick" look, there are no strays of cuticle and my nails are very clean. Mimi is also very gentle I barely noticed her cleaning out my cuticles. At the end my legs were massaged generously. Professionalism: I understand Henry and Mimi working together they talked half of the time to each other in Vietnamese. However, when the process of painting my nails started they went quiet. This indicates to me that they do pay attention and take pride in their work here. Checkout: I was greeted by Kevin, the price total is $72, in my opinion, it can be a little pricey, however I don't get gel nails done that often. Also they have a 10 day guarantee for normal gel nails that if it chips within the next 10 days, I can come back and get it fixed! I got both my nails done in about one hour, efficient and quick. In my personal experience, I enjoyed it. I took one star away because I couldn't find the massage chair remote, and they both talked quite a bit in the first half of the session, and my manicure polish layer is a little too thick looking. I would give 0 stars but the Yelp app will not allow it!! I went to visit for a fill, nail repair and pedicure.  I was greeted immediately upon entering.  I advised the person about the services I wanted but was advised the ONLY person that does fills is not here and she couldn't do it cause she's pregnant.  I have never been to a NAILSPA that couldn't do services.  I mean a fill that's been around since nail shops have been...then she stated that many people don't come by for nail services on Mondays!! But I just did... end of story I left without no SERVICES. WONT BE GOING BACK.. YOU COULD'VE TRIED TO DO THE OTHER SERVICES BUT NOOOOOOOO!  NO POSITIVE REFERRALS FOR THIS O CALLED NAILSPA!! By far the best nail salon I have ever been too! It has a nice atmosphere and gorgeous decors. Everyone there is very friendly and truly talented. They have hundreds of colors you can choose from and they always make sure their customers leave satisfied. The owner is super friendly and down to earth!
