I tried dips for the first time today at paradise nails and spa and they came out exactly how I wanted. The staff was welcoming and kind. They offer complimentary dinks such as soft drinks and I enjoyed a delicious mimosa. The pedicure packages they offervare wonderful I have the lavender pedicure it was $39.00 and felt amazing! There were a few things I noticed that i did not like. First I noticed the fan rhey used to dry my nails was covered in a think layer of dust and powder. I looked at 2 other mini fans and saw the same thing. Behind the pedicure spa chairs the ground was also dirty. However the tools and chairs were all clean along with the restroom. Over all I would go back.

There is a reason this place offers 40% off. I have came here multiple times and always had problems but chalked it up to a one off but clearly that’s not the case. The last time I went in I called ahead that made me an appointment I asked how long it would take etc and gave myself more then enough time because I had a event that evening. I showed up. I waited 20 ish minutes up front then I soaked for a good while. Finally I left because there were 2-3 women ahead of me that... hadn’t even been helped and had been there way longer then I had. This time I walk in and there is a lady walking in with me. the place is basically empty they had 3 people are being helped and all pedicure chairs are empty. The girl at the front desk clearly doesn’t know what she’s doing and no one would help her. When we asked for someone else to help so we could better understand no one came instead she walked over and talked with 3 different people at 3 different tones and we never got a straight answer. Then the wait went from 45 minutes (would be around 12:10-12:15) to come back at 2 pm. When we questioned why she flat out told us they had 2 people scheduled at 11:45 then they would take walk ins that came in at that time. However we had to come back at 2 so when we questioned why we couldn’t just wait the 45 minutes she didn’t have an answer and finally someone came over (owner I believe) to be rude and even more unhelpful by telling us the policy has changed in the last 30 seconds and we can only come back at 2. I will not be back and I will not recommend that anyone stays AWAY from this establishment. You get what you pay for and with their 40% off you get a ok at best pedicure, rude workers, and a whole day wasted. See More

I should have taken her up on that offer. My manicure was interrupted twice by two different customer issues, and was started and finished by two different people. The second of which, got mad when I asked her not to use the drill on my natural nail bed. I tried to tell her it’s be okay to use it on the cuticle, b...ut I guess she felt as though the conversation would go better if she was the only person speaking. To top it all of, she yelled at me not to move so loudly during my service that other customers turned around and looked to see what was going on. This was my third visit to the salon, and two of my three visits weren’t that great (the lady working the front desk flooded the back room when she got side-tracked talking to a coworker AND there was a gnat in my mimosa, all during my very first visit there). After inspecting her nails, the Polish literally just slid off her nail with a single wipe of my finger. It was a regular Polish. They didn't smooth her nails down or clean them before putting the Polish so it wasn't a clean textured surface for the polish to adhere to. It's irritating because I took my daughter out to treat her ...to a "spa girl day" and she was so sad that this happened. Very poor service in my book to just rush through her nails bc she's a little girl. We probably will not go back to this place because of it. Also when I called they said we had to make an appt bc they were super busy. My appt time was 30 mins later (while I'm on the phone)..... So I just drove straight to the place... Got there 20 mins early and was told we had to wait until our appt time...(OK that's understandable) but...... There were only 4 ppl in the whole place.... 2 on pedis and 2manicure!!! When I first got there, I was waiting for about 20 minutes. Finally sat down and started to have my nails clipped and then she disappeared for about another 10 minutes. I was about to walk out. No communication whatsoever. I’m not sure if I went just at a bad time last night or what. I was recommended this place and I have to say... not a very good first impression. Although, when she finally did sit down to finish my nails, she did do a beautiful job and made sure I left happy with my nails. Still not sure if that’s enough to give this place a second chance.

Told me I would have to wait 30-45 Minutes for people who just came in? Just not very customer friendly. I will never go back.

My roommate and I made appointments for 4:30. She was getting shellac and a pedicure and I was just wanting a pedicure. We got there just a few minutes early and they told us we had to wait 15 minutes. Okay, no big deal. An hour later (no exaggerating, I timed it on my phone) they started our nails. They closed at 6 and totally rushed on my roommate’s nails since she was getting hands and toes done. There was a random dog running around which I’m not sure if that’s in health ...standards. But they finished our nails and after working in the service industry and managing a wine bar, i requested a discount. They only gave us 20% off. I had a coupon for 20% off, and they at first told me they would combine the discounts but then changed their mind. It was 6pm and they had 3 clients they hadn’t started yet when they closed at 6pm. As a student in grad school, time is super valuable and it’s frustrating to make an appointment and have a business not hold up their end of the deal. If they see people who have appointments and get a lot of walk ins, they need to turn walk ins away because an hour later, you have double the amount of unhappy people. I’m super disappointed and do not recommend this place to anyone. See More

The manicurist here is so creative! I was referred by a friend and wanted to try it out for my engagement photo shoot. I had three different outfits with different color schemes for each one, but she managed to pull it all together with her design. I let her go for it because I had seen her work before and trusted her creative sense! Parking is easy in the parking lot there. It was quiet with music in the background, as she works alone and is appointment only, but I felt like she put in all her focus with my nails, which is what you always want! Would definitely come again.

So when it wasn’t right, they offered to only fix one hand. They gave us an extremely hard time, simply for my sister wanting what she asked for. We will not be returning here, and I would strongly urge everyone to stay away from here

I walked in and was asked to come back 30 minutes later. I did and then another 45 minutes later he started my service. I went here for a manicure but all he did was dip my nails. Tried saying he could add a manicure but he already started painting them so it was too late. They started getting busy so he was rushing. I was upset, I paid $35 for someone to paint my nails. No other step was done. I got home and was fuming. Later that night I looked at my nails and you can see my old polish in the nail and my fingers look gross. Very sloppy work. I left a message for a refund. It was horrible service

This is a very nice nail salon. They offer a lot of different choices and actually have some things that are different than the norm.

This is a very nice nail salon. They offer a lot of different choices and actually have some things that are different than the norm.
They are a bit pricier than some.other places - basic pedicures are $29. I never leave and spend less than $40 but this is the best place I've been in Temple so far and seems to be the cleanest. So many places have dirty trays on the pedicure chairs.
My main complaint about the other salons in though is the complete lack of experience. What I mean is the message is often very lacking and many times they have barely removed the dead skin so my feet are rough in a few days again.
I'll definitely keep going here and enjoying the many free drinks they offer - soda, wine, margaritas, beer, etc.

I occasionally visit this spa when on this side of town and it is a lively place. I only go for pedicures and for the most part these folks do a good job. My one disappointment is they lack in doing the great massage on your legs and feet. Most of them just don't have the strength to put into doing more than just a feathery touch. And in my opinion that is the best part of a pedicure!
Parking can be a problem too.

She also did not seem very sanitary. They use a bag in the pedicure bowl! Gross !!! Call me boogie, but I'm used to getting a pedicure in a marble or glass bowl. If I wanted to stick my feet in a bag, I would go .... I wouldn't go anywhere, who wants to put their feet in a bag? Anyway, I didn't see her take utensils out of the bag so so asked her if they had previously been sanitized. She acted offended and said don't worry about that. As if I'm not supposed to be concerned about my safety. And I seen her use files and buffers that looked old. Maybe I'm just too particular but, I like everything new.

After having the same experience 3-4 times i decided never to return. Waiting over an hour to get service. Nail techs quitting left only two techs. The last time i was there it took almost 4 hours!!!! To get pedi & regular manicure. However pedicure was never ever good. Still ended up fixing what they didn't do correctly. Dry skin left behind. Cuticles half removed. Finally had enough of overpaying for crap work. Worse part was the wait to be seen. Always 1 hour or greater wait. Now i drive to Georgetown...small town nail shops just won't do. People here seem to settle bc there's not a lot of competition or choices. I'd rather drive & get the experience in paying for. Wine. Good nail job & timely friendly service.

They are always so extremely understaffed. Second - the work is always rushed where your nails will look horrible! Third - I always somehow get the same guy that tells me to not looks at my nails and to look at the tv. He also told me to relax while pressing hard on my hands. He's more worried about quantity than quality or customer service. I promise I'm not a bad customer or difficult. I actually held my tongue in these situations and paid for horrible service. After four times I'm writing a negative review. I only went here for the SNS nails. If someone knows another place in temple with great service and does SNS let me know!!! This place isn't worth your time or money.

One Of the Worse manicures ever. I came in contact with 3 people. None of them introduced themselves. Prior to coming I attempted to make an appmt, but they told me to just come in. Then I waited for over 30 minutes. 2 different people worked on my nails. Both very impersonal. But what worried me the most is the lack of sanitation. The towel under my hands was the one used on the previous client. The tech did not wash his hands and had residues of previous client's dip nail powder on his hands. The instruments were dingy and non of them out of an autoclave... They were just laying around and being used in different costumes!!!!The tech that did my nails had to be asked to work on my cuticles, which he did without soaking or any oil/conditioning.... Just started cutting. Very aggressive. My cuticles are sore and some bled. That with the poor sanitation really friked me out.... My nails look ok, except for my R thumb, but Idid not want to say anything because I just wanted to get out of there without an infection....When I got home I put tea tree oil and antibiotic ointment on my cuticles. Hopefully I won't get an infection, but if I do, I will report them to their state regulatory agency... Very rude people and unpleasant experience, but the worse if the poor hygiene. I have never experienced such disregard for safety in a nail salon before,

I asked for one flower on her toes and one on her thumb. She put two on each toe and hand and got charged per flower. After and hour and 10 minutes they finally get to us and ask who wants to go first because there wasn't enough staff ...2 out of their 4 people left after their customers and we where stuck with 2 people for 5 pedis. After my daughter was done I paid and left. Didn't even get my feet done but they got nice and pruney. My friend stayed behind to have her pedi finish but didn't leave until 430...mind you we had been there since 2. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER AND COMPLETELY COLD SALON.

Their NexGen/dipped Acyrlic is done the correct way. They do not cut corners and use the UV light like a few salons will do. Purely dipped only. My nails are just as shiny and completely still unchipped a month into the application. If half nails being exposed didn't look so ridiculous, I would let the whole thing just grow out!Recently they have also added color change powders into the mix. Yeah. Science. I've added a clip for your viewing pleasure. Did I mention there's complimentary booze? And they ain't skimpy on the pours. FYI, quote from a conversation with employee: "drowning in booze... The way to die!"

I feel bad to post a bad review for a business that is just opening, but I did not have a good experience. First off, there were only 3 people working there and I had to wait 45 minutes before I was helped. I then got the highest pedicure they had because it was advertised as half off. Im guessing that when it is on sale you basically are getting a half/job pedicure. I didnt get half of the things that were mentioned on the brochure. Was supposed to get a 20 min hot stone massage and reflexology. Mine was about 10 minutes if even. My feet were only scrubbed about 2 seconds and the cheese grater was not used. Didnt get cooling gel or a hot pack for neck that was advertised either. Then when my toenails were painted I asked for a design which came out all smeared because it was painted on too soon and the 1st coat had not dried. It really looked like a 1st grader had done it. Overall, I was just disappointed. I would have paid full price if I would have actually gotten everything done. There was a lady that worked there that seemed to do a good job. I watched her and she seemed to do all that was advertised and gave a good long massage. So I guess it might just depend on who you get.

I tried dips for the first time today at paradise nails and spa and they came out exactly how I wanted. The staff was welcoming and kind. They offer complimentary dinks such as soft drinks and I enjoyed a delicious mimosa. The pedicure packages they offervare wonderful I have the lavender pedicure it was $39.00 and felt amazing! There were a few things I noticed that i did not like. First I noticed the fan rhey used to dry my nails was covered in a think layer of dust and powder. I looked at 2 other mini fans and saw the same thing. Behind the pedicure spa chairs the ground was also dirty. However the tools and chairs were all clean along with the restroom. Over all I would go back.

There is a reason this place offers 40% off. I have came here multiple times and always had problems but chalked it up to a one off but clearly that’s not the case. The last time I went in I called ahead that made me an appointment I asked how long it would take etc and gave myself more then enough time because I had a event that evening. I showed up. I waited 20 ish minutes up front then I soaked for a good while. Finally I left because there were 2-3 women ahead of me that... hadn’t even been helped and had been there way longer then I had. This time I walk in and there is a lady walking in with me. the place is basically empty they had 3 people are being helped and all pedicure chairs are empty. The girl at the front desk clearly doesn’t know what she’s doing and no one would help her. When we asked for someone else to help so we could better understand no one came instead she walked over and talked with 3 different people at 3 different tones and we never got a straight answer. Then the wait went from 45 minutes (would be around 12:10-12:15) to come back at 2 pm. When we questioned why she flat out told us they had 2 people scheduled at 11:45 then they would take walk ins that came in at that time. However we had to come back at 2 so when we questioned why we couldn’t just wait the 45 minutes she didn’t have an answer and finally someone came over (owner I believe) to be rude and even more unhelpful by telling us the policy has changed in the last 30 seconds and we can only come back at 2. I will not be back and I will not recommend that anyone stays AWAY from this establishment. You get what you pay for and with their 40% off you get a ok at best pedicure, rude workers, and a whole day wasted. See More

I should have taken her up on that offer. My manicure was interrupted twice by two different customer issues, and was started and finished by two different people. The second of which, got mad when I asked her not to use the drill on my natural nail bed. I tried to tell her it’s be okay to use it on the cuticle, b...ut I guess she felt as though the conversation would go better if she was the only person speaking. To top it all of, she yelled at me not to move so loudly during my service that other customers turned around and looked to see what was going on. This was my third visit to the salon, and two of my three visits weren’t that great (the lady working the front desk flooded the back room when she got side-tracked talking to a coworker AND there was a gnat in my mimosa, all during my very first visit there). After inspecting her nails, the Polish literally just slid off her nail with a single wipe of my finger. It was a regular Polish. They didn't smooth her nails down or clean them before putting the Polish so it wasn't a clean textured surface for the polish to adhere to. It's irritating because I took my daughter out to treat her ...to a "spa girl day" and she was so sad that this happened. Very poor service in my book to just rush through her nails bc she's a little girl. We probably will not go back to this place because of it. Also when I called they said we had to make an appt bc they were super busy. My appt time was 30 mins later (while I'm on the phone)..... So I just drove straight to the place... Got there 20 mins early and was told we had to wait until our appt time...(OK that's understandable) but...... There were only 4 ppl in the whole place.... 2 on pedis and 2manicure!!! When I first got there, I was waiting for about 20 minutes. Finally sat down and started to have my nails clipped and then she disappeared for about another 10 minutes. I was about to walk out. No communication whatsoever. I’m not sure if I went just at a bad time last night or what. I was recommended this place and I have to say... not a very good first impression. Although, when she finally did sit down to finish my nails, she did do a beautiful job and made sure I left happy with my nails. Still not sure if that’s enough to give this place a second chance.

My roommate and I made appointments for 4:30. She was getting shellac and a pedicure and I was just wanting a pedicure. We got there just a few minutes early and they told us we had to wait 15 minutes. Okay, no big deal. An hour later (no exaggerating, I timed it on my phone) they started our nails. They closed at 6 and totally rushed on my roommate’s nails since she was getting hands and toes done. There was a random dog running around which I’m not sure if that’s in health ...standards. But they finished our nails and after working in the service industry and managing a wine bar, i requested a discount. They only gave us 20% off. I had a coupon for 20% off, and they at first told me they would combine the discounts but then changed their mind. It was 6pm and they had 3 clients they hadn’t started yet when they closed at 6pm. As a student in grad school, time is super valuable and it’s frustrating to make an appointment and have a business not hold up their end of the deal. If they see people who have appointments and get a lot of walk ins, they need to turn walk ins away because an hour later, you have double the amount of unhappy people. I’m super disappointed and do not recommend this place to anyone. See More

The manicurist here is so creative! I was referred by a friend and wanted to try it out for my engagement photo shoot. I had three different outfits with different color schemes for each one, but she managed to pull it all together with her design. I let her go for it because I had seen her work before and trusted her creative sense! Parking is easy in the parking lot there. It was quiet with music in the background, as she works alone and is appointment only, but I felt like she put in all her focus with my nails, which is what you always want! Would definitely come again.

So when it wasn’t right, they offered to only fix one hand. They gave us an extremely hard time, simply for my sister wanting what she asked for. We will not be returning here, and I would strongly urge everyone to stay away from here

I walked in and was asked to come back 30 minutes later. I did and then another 45 minutes later he started my service. I went here for a manicure but all he did was dip my nails. Tried saying he could add a manicure but he already started painting them so it was too late. They started getting busy so he was rushing. I was upset, I paid $35 for someone to paint my nails. No other step was done. I got home and was fuming. Later that night I looked at my nails and you can see my old polish in the nail and my fingers look gross. Very sloppy work. I left a message for a refund. It was horrible service

This is a very nice nail salon. They offer a lot of different choices and actually have some things that are different than the norm.
They are a bit pricier than some.other places - basic pedicures are $29. I never leave and spend less than $40 but this is the best place I've been in Temple so far and seems to be the cleanest. So many places have dirty trays on the pedicure chairs.
My main complaint about the other salons in though is the complete lack of experience. What I mean is the message is often very lacking and many times they have barely removed the dead skin so my feet are rough in a few days again.
I'll definitely keep going here and enjoying the many free drinks they offer - soda, wine, margaritas, beer, etc.

I occasionally visit this spa when on this side of town and it is a lively place. I only go for pedicures and for the most part these folks do a good job. My one disappointment is they lack in doing the great massage on your legs and feet. Most of them just don't have the strength to put into doing more than just a feathery touch. And in my opinion that is the best part of a pedicure!
Parking can be a problem too.

She also did not seem very sanitary. They use a bag in the pedicure bowl! Gross !!! Call me boogie, but I'm used to getting a pedicure in a marble or glass bowl. If I wanted to stick my feet in a bag, I would go .... I wouldn't go anywhere, who wants to put their feet in a bag? Anyway, I didn't see her take utensils out of the bag so so asked her if they had previously been sanitized. She acted offended and said don't worry about that. As if I'm not supposed to be concerned about my safety. And I seen her use files and buffers that looked old. Maybe I'm just too particular but, I like everything new.

After having the same experience 3-4 times i decided never to return. Waiting over an hour to get service. Nail techs quitting left only two techs. The last time i was there it took almost 4 hours!!!! To get pedi & regular manicure. However pedicure was never ever good. Still ended up fixing what they didn't do correctly. Dry skin left behind. Cuticles half removed. Finally had enough of overpaying for crap work. Worse part was the wait to be seen. Always 1 hour or greater wait. Now i drive to Georgetown...small town nail shops just won't do. People here seem to settle bc there's not a lot of competition or choices. I'd rather drive & get the experience in paying for. Wine. Good nail job & timely friendly service.

I had a great first experience. After that - next 4 visits were horrible. The staff doesn't go by the sign in sheet. They will let people skip ahead and you'll wait for over an hour. They are always so extremely understaffed. Second - the work is always rushed where your nails will look horrible! Third - I always somehow get the same guy that tells me to not looks at my nails and to look at the tv. He also told me to relax while pressing hard on my hands. He's more worried about quantity than quality or customer service. I promise I'm not a bad customer or difficult. I actually held my tongue in these situations and paid for horrible service. After four times I'm writing a negative review. I only went here for the SNS nails. If someone knows another place in temple with great service and does SNS let me know!!! This place isn't worth your time or money.

One Of the Worse manicures ever. I came in contact with 3 people. None of them introduced themselves. Prior to coming I attempted to make an appmt, but they told me to just come in. Then I waited for over 30 minutes. 2 different people worked on my nails. Both very impersonal. But what worried me the most is the lack of sanitation. The towel under my hands was the one used on the previous client. The tech did not wash his hands and had residues of previous client's dip nail powder on his hands. The instruments were dingy and non of them out of an autoclave... They were just laying around and being used in different costumes!!!!The tech that did my nails had to be asked to work on my cuticles, which he did without soaking or any oil/conditioning.... Just started cutting. Very aggressive. My cuticles are sore and some bled. That with the poor sanitation really friked me out.... My nails look ok, except for my R thumb, but Idid not want to say anything because I just wanted to get out of there without an infection....When I got home I put tea tree oil and antibiotic ointment on my cuticles. Hopefully I won't get an infection, but if I do, I will report them to their state regulatory agency... Very rude people and unpleasant experience, but the worse if the poor hygiene. I have never experienced such disregard for safety in a nail salon before,

I asked for one flower on her toes and one on her thumb. She put two on each toe and hand and got charged per flower. After and hour and 10 minutes they finally get to us and ask who wants to go first because there wasn't enough staff ...2 out of their 4 people left after their customers and we where stuck with 2 people for 5 pedis. After my daughter was done I paid and left. Didn't even get my feet done but they got nice and pruney. My friend stayed behind to have her pedi finish but didn't leave until 430...mind you we had been there since 2. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER AND COMPLETELY COLD SALON.

This is the one spot I go to for my nails. I love that they (currently) run a 20% off check in deal on Yelp. And apparently they do discounts from their Facebook page too. Their NexGen/dipped Acyrlic is done the correct way. They do not cut corners and use the UV light like a few salons will do. Purely dipped only. My nails are just as shiny and completely still unchipped a month into the application. If half nails being exposed didn't look so ridiculous, I would let the whole thing just grow out!Recently they have also added color change powders into the mix. Yeah. Science. I've added a clip for your viewing pleasure. Did I mention there's complimentary booze? And they ain't skimpy on the pours. FYI, quote from a conversation with employee: "drowning in booze... The way to die!"

Wonderful place! I was able to schedule an appointment for a shellac mani/pedi the day before. I arrived on-time and was taken back immediately. There were two lovely ladies working on me, and unlike other places, they did not speak to each other throughout the process, so I could actually relax and enjoy the services.The massages, the scrubs, the nice smiles, wonderful massage chairs, great colors to choose from. I feel bad to post a bad review for a business that is just opening, but I did not have a good experience. First off, there were only 3 people working there and I had to wait 45 minutes before I was helped. I then got the highest pedicure they had because it was advertised as half off. Im guessing that when it is on sale you basically are getting a half/job pedicure. I didnt get half of the things that were mentioned on the brochure. Was supposed to get a 20 min hot stone massage and reflexology. Mine was about 10 minutes if even. My feet were only scrubbed about 2 seconds and the cheese grater was not used. Didnt get cooling gel or a hot pack for neck that was advertised either. Then when my toenails were painted I asked for a design which came out all smeared because it was painted on too soon and the 1st coat had not dried. It really looked like a 1st grader had done it. Overall, I was just disappointed. I would have paid full price if I would have actually gotten everything done. There was a lady that worked there that seemed to do a good job. I watched her and she seemed to do all that was advertised and gave a good long massage. So I guess it might just depend on who you get.
