I went into a nearby nail salon and they allowed another woman ahead of me. We were both getting the exact same service. I immediately left the other place because they didn't even address me when it happened. I saw Nails Unlimited was nearby, so I went in. They've been under new management for the last few months and it's now a family owned business. I rarely leave reviews for nail salons because nothing really blows me away, but nails unlimited goes the extra mile.The decor is pretty modern, clean, and doesn't give off that familiar scent of acrylic. After choosing your color whether it be shellac or traditional color, you're seated in the massage chairs, and they'll add the spa powders into the water. They offer water and wine alongside some snacks like chips and fruit snacks.They got me with the wine and snacks. I don't think I've been to a nail salon that gave me snacks, so oh boy do I feel like I'm getting a deal. Nice place, nice people, very inconsistent service. My gel polish started chipping & peeling after 5 days. They've all peeled off now after a week & a half. My mom was with me and hers still look great because her girl actually applied the base coat whereas mine skipped it. I came here because I have seen it several times in passing. I have always wondered what it was like, so today I decided to try it out. I was greeted immediately upon entering, and shown a menu right away, which was great, because they usually don't show you until you've already gotten into a chair. They also have a lot of specials going on frequently. I got the "Organic Pedicure," which is the most expensive, but also worth EVERY penny! (It even comes with a wonderful frozen cocktail for those of us that can drink!) They really don't hold back when it comes to pampering you here! I've never gotten so much for such a great price. This place has become my new fav in sugar land! This nail place has a new management and they are the sweetest nail technicians! They take their time and make sure you are satisfied before proceeding! The ambience is so tranquil, clean and spacious. They have an entire acrylic and powder bar in the back- with a very talented nail tech dedicated to that area and the customers who desire acrylic/powder(I think that's really unique and trendy) They have a wide range of color options for paint, shellac, powder, gel, or acrylic. All their equipment is up-to-date, and most importantly CLEAN! Also, they have incorporated all types of new techniques into their mani/pedi routines. This was my first time coming to Nails Unlimited, I had been seeing Holly at another salon and she moved locations. The salon is cute, relaxing and very clean! Holly is THE best at dip powder! The receptionists are always professional, polite and nice. The atmosphere pleasant and the salon is clean. If I could I would give a 3 for that but due customer service and quality of service by nail tech I had but can not remember her name, I wish I could give 0 star review. The tech was rude, aggressive, impatient, much to bossy and lack technical skills and customer service skills. On several occasions she has cut and bruised my cuticles to the point of bleeding unapologetically. She impatiently pushes and pulls your hands with rude demeanor. She attempted to take the remote to the massage chair from me on several occasions to put it on what she wanted and to put hang it on the chair but I refused to allow her to. I invest in going to the salon to feel pampered and to invest in myself. Tried this place because I found it on groupon. I have been here atleast 3-4  times (not always on a groupon). I was quite impressed with the cleanliness and (some) friendly technicians when I first visited. However, now I don't like this place for several reasons - 1. I am certain that they treat customers with a groupon differently to those who pay full price - In general politeness of staff, availability of appointments, flexibility etc,.  Even the Quality of service differs in my opinion. For example, when on a groupon - the first available appointment is atleast 5 days later than you want it, and there have been times when they called me to reschedule it on the morning of my appointment to a date 5 days later!! Thats too much of a delay for a simple mani-pedi appointment!! Even if I make it to my appointment on time - I have been made to wait for atleast 15-20 mins before a technician gets working with me. For manicure, they are in such a rush to get you out of the place!2. The nail technician just expects you to tip her a certain amount (they give you a weird look otherwise!) - even if you are not happy with her work or has done a bad job/haphazard job. 3. The receptionist is very rude - over phone and otherwise. When she called me to reschedule my appointment - I told her I had booked my appointment a week in advance, how can you still be overbooked and cancel my appointment? To that her response was, "just return your groupon in that case!" I did not like that, very unprofessional. Even the her apology was so heartless. Ms. receptionist thats exactly what I did - returned the groupon, you just lost a customer forever.The quality of work has declined sharply. They used to do a way better job when they had newly opened. However, now, I think they are not able to handle the volume of customers coming their way thanks to their deals on groupon.Never going to go to this place again and waste my time and money and be insulted. The receptionist was extremely nice and the atmosphere was clean and inviting. These are the only reasons this salon might have gotten more than one star. The following is why they would get NO STARS if that was an option. The pedicure was mediocre at best. My heels were "scrubbed at" rather than being taken care of. I've had to go to my regular salon to have my nails trimmed (Day 4) because Nails Unlimited didn't cut them short enough after I asked twice for them to go shorter. And even more irritating, they charged me $25 for nail art on two of my toes. The price for this service on their price sheet is $3 each. That would be $6. I have absolutely no problem paying a little extra, but $25? When I questioned the receptionist about this charge, she told me she didn't think it was right, but it was the direction she was given by the owner's mom. She gave me the owner's contact information and assured me that the owner was very prompt to respond. It has been over a week now. I've received no response to my email or phone call. When I went back to the salon on Thursday of last week to retrieve items I had left behind, I did receive assurance that my situation was being cared for. I was told the refund would be processed immediately. It's now Thursday - a week later. There's not even a pending refund on my account. The receptionist keeps insisting that she's processed it twice. My bank account shows nothing. I think I'll believe the bank. I asked for a cash refund today and was told the owner would call me. I doubt it very much. Even if she does, I'm so done with this salon. There are far too many nail salons out there to meddle with this one. I was on the hunt for a new nail salon in Sugar Land for me to frequent, but I unfortunately will not be coming back to Nails Unlimited. I was the only customer in the nail salon the whole time, and I can understand why. The staff at the front desk are pleasant, but the nail tech was not very friendly nor professional. I received a shellac manicure for $33. Normally I love getting mani/pedis (who doesn't?), but the whole time I just wanted to get out of salon. I was so uncomfortable with how I was being treated and the quality of the service. There was no massage included, my hands felt dirty, and the nail tech spent a total of 30-60 seconds filing and trimming all of my nails. I asked for square-shaped tips, but some are square and others are rounded. I even have bubbles under nails, as she rushed to dry and paint them. I was really hoping to like this place, but the service, quality and enjoyment factor all fell short of satisfactory. Read Less

Great place! Clean and comfy. First time getting a mani and this place and I had a Groupon voucher that had expired. I spoke to Linda, before my voucher expired, and checked if I could still use it. She said she would still honor it! Service was good and I love the way the nail technician was extremely careful about cutting my cuticles and polishing my nails. Right after my nails were all dried (or, so I thought!) I slipped my hands in my bag to tip the lady and boom... my color peeled and smudged! However, the lady at the front desk got me to the nail bar to get it fixed. That was extremely courteous and high customer service. She was also helpful in explaining the difference between acrylic nail and powder dipped nails. I was initially skeptical when the owner said they "weren't like all the random Asian nail salons". How different could they possibly be I thought? Apparently they are.
