I LOVED my experience here! I can't remember the name of the pedicure I got, but it came with the hot stone massage, paraffin wax, hot towels, aloe mask, a gel thing in the water, neck/shoulder massage, etc plus the Shellac (spelling??) I have been going to MOD for several years now and it was alright, but nothing magnificent, but I went a couple days ago and let me tell you......IT WAS THE BEST TREATMENT I've ever had a nail salon.  While sitting there, I found out it was new management.  The owner and her daughter are sweet as can be.  Kim did my pedicure and Kathy did my nails.  I even told my husband that I actually felt like I was at a relaxing spa, getting pampered.  The music was great!!  I asked them what Pandora station it was, so I could listen to it after I left.  They did a little bit of remodeling.  They made a mini bar in there and they now have several different salts and masks to chose from.  The water and the wax was not steaming hot.  It was just perfect.  I actually felt comfortable telling them if I wanted this or that.  The massage while getting the pedicure felt GREAT; best one I've had in forever.  Their prices did not go up since the new owners took over and I like how they have the salt/mask bar in the middle, so you're not staring directly across at the other customers anymore.  You actually feel like you get some privacy now.  Oh and not to mention, the girl at the front desk was very friendly and offered me different options.  They do nail dipping and I've never had that before and I LOVE it.  I can't believe how many colors they have to chose from.  Even my husband said he LOVED my nails and my toes look SO cute, I must say.  Kim did awesome art work.  I even messed my toe up and she didn't make me feel bad at all.  She was happy to fix it.  I am so happy with the new management that I had to share.  #Happyrelaxedgirl Read Less

Not pleased with the service at all. Spent about 80 bucks on a pedicure which was Shellac. A few days later the shellac slowely began turning brown!? I only wear thong flip flops and if I wear closed toe shoes I have on socks. Anyhow I called them and all they said was thanks for letting us know. After she tried to give me a 1000 reasons of why it could be my fault! The least they should have done was offered to redo the color. I had a bad feeling when I went in. Horrible management - I made an appointment for 10:30 a.m. to have a mani-pedi. When I sat down for the pedicure they said they didn't have anyone available to do my manicure at the same time because they had to serve the customers walking in first. I gave this place a "meh" because a) pedicure chairs were super uncomfortable, b) it is more expensive than other salons in the area, c) they did an okay job on my pedicure and shellac manicure, and d) they took a long time. Nina did a great job on my pedicure.  I wasn't sure if the gal that did my Gel Manicure, but she was great too.  As a side note, I was surprised to see Lexor Pedicure Spa Chairs.  I have friends that work in management for Lexor in California.  It was nice to try out their chairs.   I will be coming back in a few weeks for new gel. The spa itself is reasonably large from the outside looking in. There is a large amount of seating. This is the end of the positive things that I can say about Mod Nails. I scheduled an appointment for 4 pedicures for Mother's Day. When we arrived at the appointment time, we were told to wait a few minutes, as they were currently full, which is fine. After waiting 15 minutes, they had finally had 2 spots open up, which 2 of the group took. Fast forward 10 more minutes, one more spot has opened up, with the promise of the last spot being available momentarily. Unfortunately, the fourth spot wasn't available for another 10 minutes after that, at which point the first pair were already nearly done. For the confusion and lack of respect of people's time alone, I'd recommend avoiding this place for large group appointments. If you are alone, it's probably fine. I've had much better luck at other local places, and wouldn't spend the time coming back to mod again. Read Less

Best nail salon in town! Their nails last at least 3 weeks. For me, my nails grow so fast, that's as long as I can go. The nails don't lift, chip or break. It's amazing! And their customer service is wonderful. Everyone is so nice. The place is clean and sanitary, also.Read Less

Best nail salon I have tried and I've been to a bunch... It's hard to find good quality AND service. Every single one of the employees here are awesome. Never again going to mod nails! I usually go to Unails. They did a horrible job. My nails are simple...white and pink powder. Square with round corners. How they get narrow and pointy from that I have no idea. Then after much arguing with me that 95% of their clientele want them narrow, they decided to "fix" them to what now has a "U" shape! Good technicians but the amount of gossiping and using the guise of a foreign to quite obviously make fun of their clients got to be too much!  At times it turns into a loud cackling session leaving clients out of the joke as often they are unknowingly the butt of the joke.  If you speak a foreign language, watch what you say... I love this place!! I go here every 2 weeks. You have your choice of mimosa, wine, soda or water. They always use clean tools. I was getting their shellac for a long time, it last for over 2 weeks without chipping. I am now getting acrylic with colored powder and I LOVE IT. For my toes I usually do the scrub, every now and then I add the paraffin wax. Nina is awesome with pedis, if she's not available I ask for Diane. I couldn't be more satisfied with my nails and pedicure!  I love tiffani! I am super picky when it comes to my nails, down to the last little bump but I never have a complaint when tiffani does my nails and she puts up with all my particularness (if that's even a word LOL)! Not only do they have great techs the place is nice and clean! They always use new products in which they throw out after one use on clients,  you can't find that anywhere else! I am very uncertain as to what "paper products" you are referring to; they use a NEW file per customer, NEW buffer per customer, NEW pumice stone per customer, and they OPEN a fresh tool packet (cuticle cutter & scrapper thingy) in front of you EVERY TIME. Matter of fact the only paper product I have ever seen in the shop are the little napkin blocks they use to wipe the excess powder off the brushes when customers get acrylic nails (personally I'm a shellac addict) if you are going to write a negative review at least write one that makes sense and with some validity. I get my nails done religiously every two weeks and have NEVER heard anything negative. I am glad that you will no longer be returning your negativity would have definitely been a nuisance in an otherwise amazing and relaxing atmosphere! Read Less

I've never had a preference on my nail salons or techs but after coming here, I can't go anywhere else! They are extremely thorough, professional and clean! My shellac always lasts me at LEAST 2 weeks (and I am very hard on them).  I randomly got Tracy a few times and have since requested her, although have not had a bad experience with anyone there.  Highly recommended and worth the money spent! This place is horrible! They are very rude! I have given them 3 chances and I will NEVER go back. 1st the are not only rude but they embarrassed me about a waxing request I had. I tried to be discreet, but they still yelled it out across the salon after I was finishes. Then when I went to pay, she assumed I didn't want change and walked away. I went in on a Saturday afternoon with my friend and actually got to use my new Mod Nail Spa gift card it’s awesome. And I don’t have to wait long for service. They has Larges polish collection assortment of magazines, and interior/staff to serve many clients at once. The place is Bright and clean. The utensils are sterilized in the purple light box (I know all the technical name). They always used brand new tools on me, but I guess that's very rare at other nail salon place. After struggling to find a good nail salon in the North Houston/ Spring TX area, I found Mod Nail Spa. I have been going there for biweekly manicures for the last year. It is a great nail salon! It is very clean and organized. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I usually ask for Tiffani or Tina to do my manicures and Pedicure I ask for Wendy, but all the employees are great.
