Nail Palace is the best, a definite must try! I've gone to this location twice and had a great experience both times! The staff is super nice, the facility is open and welcoming with beautiful decor, and the services are pampering. You'll leave feeling very relaxed. I know Phillip, he's been doing my nails for years, since before he owned Nail Palace, and he has done an outstanding job each and every time! This Southlake location is a little far for me, but his work is that good that I travel the almost 30mins to have my nails done by him! My nails and toes always look fantastic when I leave!! I was shopping at Hobby Lobby next door and decided to try Nail Palace. I got the dipping powder manicure and all was fine. What I did not like - and what caused this review- is that the tech used the clear topcoat for gel nails (where he used the UV light to cure the top coat). I thought it was odd, but the tech said it makes your nails shinier. I've gotten dipped nails at a different salon for about a year and they've never used gel topcoats, but what do I know, so I went with it. 3 days later the top coat started to peel. It's been a week now and the top coat is completely peeled on both of my thumbs, and peeling on other fingers.I get the dipped powder because of how long it lasts, and I'm really disappointed in my current nails. Normally I'd go back and fix it, but I don't live nearby. I do not recommend this place if their standard procedure is gel topcoats on dipped nails. Read Less

Summer is the owner. I drive from Bedford to southlake just for this nail salon due to the fact they are the only place I have ever gotten gel nails & they have actually lasted 3 weeks without pealing off. By the time I come back to them they have to take the polish off themselves, it's not halfway off from where I have started pealing it (ladies you know what I mean). Purchased a Groupon. Thought I'd give myself a little break of paying over $50 for mani/ pedi. I usually go to Oasis in Keller an LOVE THEM.  Anyway, 2 girls were working on me. One who did feet was very nice, other not so much. I noticed after leaving, a couple days later that the Polish used for my mani was VERY thin. Almost transparent. I do gel and ALWAYS choose opi because of the quality. Come to think of it, she put 3 coats. Since then, my nails have broken, bent, etc. NEVER, EVER has this happened with my gel polish. I take my polish off myself and NEVER has any polish ever discolored my nails. My thought?  They thin down their polish.  This , in my opinion is terrible business and very underhanded. One would expect a Southlake salon to use and do quality. I will not return and will stick with one that truly do care. Read Less

I came here after purchasing a Groupon for a deluxe manicure and a deluxe pedicure. What is included as part of these services is unclear and I can't find it anywhere, not even in the salon. I made an appointment and came in today. They only have a handful of staff members so expect to wait even with an appointment. Everyone is extremely nice but I felt like the execution of my services were not up to my standards. The salon is nice but it was a little stuffy and hot. It's summertime time in Texas so that was not ideal. I noticed the thermostat was set on 78 while I was waiting for my nails to dry. They had the news on then some cheesy soap opera came on. I wish they would have had music playing or something to help you relax. Overall everything was just average nothing great or spectacular. I'm extremely picky about where I get my nails done so this place may be great for someone else. I feel that if a business is going to do a Groupon they are trying to gain more business but I don't feel like they tried hard enough for my business. Ok nail place. I was able to walk in at 2pm on a Sunday and get a pedicure , no wait. The tech didn't say anything to me, just sat down and started prepping. She didn't ask me which pedi I wanted until after she removed my polish. The pedi itself was fine, she was fast, my feet look great and it was relatively cheap. Until after I left and realized she up charged me for a stone massage which I didn't get. It should've been $30, but was $40. That was my fault for not paying attention , I was in a rush to get home so wasn't paying attention.Their menu says they have complementary drinks but I was not offered any. The place is clean, massage chairs are comfortable, but I don't think it deserves the 4 stars it's sitting at because service is lacking.  Oh, their polish selection was pretty Thin, bring your own if you are picky. I found an opi that was fine but wish I had brought my own color. I think I'll try some other local places first before considering them again. Read Less

I didn't even want to give it one start but I had to. This place was TERRIBLE! First off they were rude right off the bat walking in, one girl was asleep in the message chair and was annoyed she had to get up. I showed the lady a picture if what I wanted to make sure she could do it. She told me she could 3 TIMES! 3! When she started to do it, it looked like something I could have done myself with my left hand and my eyes closed. I got upset and asked she just paint them all one color. Her response? "I'm not good at design" are you kidding? I asked you if you could?!?!? Not only that but they didn't talk to us at all, never offered my friend (who was getting a pedicure) a drink, or a design or anything extra. I would not recommend going here. I was asked to choose a nail color and the choice was very poor. I was asked which treatment I wanted and I pointed to the $25 as I was short on time she said no and pointed to $35 and I pointed back to $25 so she kept insisting on $35 when I told her once again I wanted  $25 she muttered her annoyance to the other ladies knowing full well I could not understand and they smirked.  She complained about back ached throughout, rubbed a bit of lotion onto my legs, I was looking forward to the massage, which it was not. Then it was over, no hot towels no cooling gel massage and I had nail polish all over my cuticle's By this time I just wanted to leave. I told them at the desk that she had missed out some components of the treatment and they told me I had got the $20 treatment. I explained that I had pointed it out numerous times and they said she did not understand, yet again talking to each other knowing I could not understand. I asked them to at least wait until I had left before they talked about me.  It seems if you do not allow them to up charge you to a pricier treatment which ensures better tips you get a spa treatment that its pretty rough and ugly. This place is located next to Old World Salon and where the new Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market will be.  Today was my first visit to this establishment for a pedicure and I was pleasantly surprised.  I decided on their Deluxe Pedicure for $35 which includes the hot towels, paraffin wax, callous treatment... etc.  I could have gotten then hot stone massage for $5 more, but i was short on time and it said it was a 50 min treatment.  The staff is friendly and the massage chairs are better than any I have seen.  I am seriously surprised I am the first to review this place.  I have been going across the street to the other nail salon for the past couple of years which is about $30 more for basically the same service.
