My mother and I love Highland Nail Salon. We have been going there since they opened 12 years ago. We love the staff, the owner Lin and her mother Ann are such sweet people. Tee always does my mom's nails, she typically gets acrylic or more recently the gel manicures. More recently I have gotten the dip/powder manicures which are amazing, no chipping for at least 4 weeks! Great colors too. We get pedicures here also and they have a special spa package which includes scrubs, lotions, a leg/ foot massage, oils and hot towels which is just divine! They always ask if we want cute designs on our nails and toes also, they are very creative. Such hard workers and such sweet people! We love the entire staff there, we are treated as much more than clients, we are treated as family. My mom and I will continue to go there for many more years to come. Read Less

I have been searching far and wide for a nail salon near Roanoke, where I moved last Aug. I went to all the salons actually in Roanoke, and each had a vice. They either did not perform all the services I wanted, were unprofessional and one in particular smelled of Subway, which I cannot stand. I read reviews for Highland and decided to give it a try. This place is superb. The staff is very professional and also friendly, which you just don't get these days .Most of their polish is OPI, which is my personal favorite. It is also organized by shade, not haphazardly thrown into a display. The massage chair I sat in was a little uncomfortable in the seat, maybe it's worn (but I do have that problem often). I got one of the specialty pedicures because my feet were in such dire need, but the price of the pedicure (which I did not ask before she did it) is the cause of the 4-stars and not a 5. The technician did an excellent job all around. One thing that stands out is the massage, it was very thourough. When I was leaving, she did not make herself scarce, I was able to pay promptly and be on my way! I love this place and even though it's a bit of a drive, I'll be returning no doubt! Read Less

I have a foot phobia so I don't really like people touching my legs and feet, but these people are professionals and are extremely nice and efficient. This place is clean, friendly, and fast. My mom and I have been coming here off and on for a few years now, ever since they opened. While their prices have gone up a bit in recent years, it's understandable because every time I go in there they're busy! Obviously they are doing something right. Even on a busy Saturday they'll take walk-ins for pedicures and manicures. I love the massaging chairs, stack of dumb tabloid magazines to thumb through while your feet are wrapped up in paraffin and plastic, and attentiveness of the employees. Try them! Read Less

Staff is always friendly and nice.  The girls here are very pampering and do a great job on my nails every time.  The prices have seemed to go up a bit over the years.  I had a spa pedicure today with a friend.  My pedicure included paraffin wax treatment, a salt scrub along with two more massaging creams.  The treatment was $45.00.  The chairs are comfortable with great massage units built in.  There is a flat screen tv that allows another escape.  The place is clean and not overly busy so I always know I will be taken care of well.  Staff speaks English which is a another plus from other places I've been to.
