They are kind of pricey for spa pedicures, but that’s because they are amazing! So many options. So many colors. I walk out with baby smooth feet every time. I’m also a regular for nexgen nails. They have so many color options for any season or occasion. I swear half the time I’m there I’m just trying to decide which color. Don’t be afraid to tell them exactly how you like your nails. This was not a good experience for dipped nails.  They were too thick and the tech couldn't get my nails to look like they do when I get them done in metroplex or McKinney.  She could not get my nails to have a shiny top coat, not sure what the problem was there, and I paid more than I've ever paid.  Would not recommend this place. Unfortunately I have had a very similar experience to Kelli B's. My daughter and I visit this salon every two weeks for Nexgen nails. Occasionally we get the top of the line pedicure also. Making an appointment is sometimes difficult, but I try to be patient. Last week when I called to schedule our regular technicians, Sophia and Oahn weren't available. When we arrived, it turned out that Sophia would have been available for my daughter, but apparently when making my appointments that wasn't understood. No problem really. We would make the best of it. Two people I have never seen before were assigned. During removal both techs were so impatient that I don't think the acetone set on my nails for more than two minutes in between grinding. This is very unusual in this shop. I became VERY concerned when my daughters tech began to paint and dip her new light pink nails because the old navy blue nails weren't fully removed. I kindly requested she make sure there weren't spots and she just stated it would be fine. Meanwhile my tech painted globs while dipping my nails repeatedly with each coat. They looked like hooves. Again, I kindly stated they were a little thick to which my daughters nail tech stated "she will grind off".  In the end, my nails were ground down to acceptable with only one small bloody spot on my cuticles! My daughters light pink nails were blue speckled throughout. They were completely unacceptable. I was frustrated with trying to address this with the techs and decided to address it with the receptionist Courtney. I let her know that although I had never had a complaint in all the time I had been coming to Ivy's, my visit this time was a serious exception. I let her know I was completely dissatisfied. She took a picture of my daughters nails and said all she could do was offer me  discount using the POINTS I HAD EARNED and speak later with Ivy. That didn't make me very happy, but I felt at the end of my patience. Half an hour later I received a phone call from Courtney. She stated that she and Ivy had spoken with the nail tech who said that my daughter was 13 and had blue ink on their hands and that must have been the problem. I don't know how you can logically get ink under your navy blue nails and still have it with your new light pink nails. I stated her nails would have to be replaced. Courtney stated that they would replace them but I have no desire to ever visit any establishment again that cares so little for their customers satisfaction. Unlike Kelli B's review, I don't care how much or how little I spend in a salon getting services. It should be a place that makes you feel pampered. You should leave with results that make you happy. Yesterday (12/27/17) I left a message at 8:03 AM requesting a return call because I wanted to schedule a pedicure, nex gen nails, facial, and brow wax. Around 10:15 AM I realized that I had not received a return and called back - Courtney quickly answered and I explained what we wanted - having extensive experience with this spa, Courtney was aware of my preferences regarding the technicians. During the explanation of needs Courtney was very rushed (so much so I asked her to please slow down), she reported that the best appointment time would be 6:00 PM...I found this to be a little odd as they are scheduled to close at 7:00 PM and Patti & I were getting several services X 2...however, she assured me that they could complete the requested services and quickly hung up. We arrived shortly before 6:00 PM - during the the sign in process I informed Courtney that I recently had surgery on both legs - I was schedule to receive the most comprehensive pedicure but I wanted to be assured that the assigned technician did not massage my legs in a rough manner (as I have previously experienced on more than one occasion)...as for my nails, I always get the same type . We had requested Hannah & Kelly for our nails...Courtney assured us that the technicians doing the pedicures were the most experienced. The experience was less than desirable - I experienced the most difficult language barrier with my pedi technician to date - she caused pain on multiple occasions and when requested to not do something she would laugh...my nex gen nails were not the color that I had requested and finally, I was unable to get the facial as there was not enough time. This is not the first time that I have not had a pleasant experience - I have tried to overlook several cultural barriers but yesterday evening convinced me that the cultural differences were only one of the variables that contribute to my unpleasant experiences...customer satisfaction is not a priority!! Ivy spoke to me...her response to my concerns were "I had not given them a chance" - she never apologized...no one ever said "I'm sorry for the scheduling error...can you come tomorrow or I'll be happy to get you in at your earliest convenience"... no one was concerned that the pedi technician had caused me pain...bottom line is, no one cared - instead they quickly begin to speak in their native language with Courtney constantly whispering to Ivy's husband. Here are points and reasons for posting this review:1. Courtesy and apologies go a long way with me and most people in general...maybe the next person that has a less than desirable experience at Ivy's Lash & Nail Bar will get both2. Technicians that repeatedly cause pain & then laugh should receive a lesson in cultural sensitivity...it is not funny to hurt another person; I can't imagine elderly ladies or women with any type of leg/feet medical concerns would ever be humored by pain (btw, my legs hurt so bad after I got home that I required prescription medication)3. When a request is made for nails to be a certain way and a certain color - the request of the customer is not always honored - recently I have had more than one technician argue with me on how I wanted my nails or completely do them in a manner I did not request4. I know that we are probably not in the top 10 of customers in relation to how much money we spend at this establishment each month but I do know that on an average we spend almost $500.00 per month between the two of us. My opinion is that an on-going expense of this amount should result in satisfaction - and at this point it doesn'tUnfortunately, we will not be going back...it is my hope that this post/review provides pause...for potential customers but more importantly to Ivy and her current staff. I came to Ivy's to get a lash refill and received excellent service.  I had been using a different lash technician, but switched to Ivy's because my previous technician was never able to accommodate any rescheduling of appointments.   After receiving great service, I scheduled a pedicure.  I received the same excellent service and will now use Ivy's for all my lash and nail services.  They have plenty of technicians and are able to accommodate their clients.  The salon is clean, beautifully contemporary and friendly. I paid for my wife to have her eyelashes and an eyebrow wax totaling the cost of $135. The next day as my wife woke up she noticed 1 or 2 that had fallen out and thought this was normal. Over the next few days larger chunks began falling out with several easily being 10-15 lashes at a time. We called for advice and the front desk person scheduled us for an appointment with the owner for the following Monday and said that it would be okay for the weekend. On Monday my wife attended her appointment only to be told that there was no way that it was a result of their process and accused my wife of being the one who was at fault because we didn’t call the very second that it happened. My wife repeatedly asked if this was normal loss for the amount of days and she would not answer the question, just that she didn’t see them when they were completed. I walked in for the first time ever today. The little girl at the desk asked "How can I help you?" She then completely ignored my answer and spoke to someone else beside the desk. She looked at me again, completely confused, and asked again. I again said "I would like a pedicure". She sat down, looked at her computer, and said nothing. I told her I didn't have an appointment. She looked up and asked which pedicure I wanted. I told her I had never been in and wasn't sure what... the choices were. The lady behind the counter giving a manicure looked up when I said this and laughed at me. The little girl told me it would be 20-30 minutes before they could get me in. I looked around and it didn't seem to be busy. I simply told her "No thank you" and walked out. My wife and I decided to do a walk in at this spa. Once inside we were never acknowledged. My wife, after several minutes of being ignored, went to the counter to ask if there was a wait, the lady put her finger up and said, "I will be with you in a minute." The last time I checked, a minute is 60 seconds. We waited 10 minutes and no one said another word to us, but we watched as they served 3 others who arrived after us. So went in with a friend bc she has had such good experiences here. Me, not so much. We had 2 o'clock appointments. I got the nexgen nails (which I have been getting for a few years) well.. I sat from 2:15 until 3:00 with the foils on to remove my old ones bc there was no one to do mine. I was like ok they're really busy. Then she did them, I was not happy with them but did not say anything. She missed half my nail on three fingers but I was like eh it happens and I know it was really busy. But I broke both my thumb nails texting on my phone. That shouldn't happen, especially not four hours after having them done. I now have no nails left, called for a refund (I live a hour away and have to work for the next week so I have no time to go back) and was told the owner would call me back. They called and REFUSED to give me a refund. So I paid for these and I have a nail appointment for a different place in the morning that I have to pay for. First of all I will be short and sweet and say that ivy is not great with customer service and she should get herself and her front desk staff some training.
