TERRIBLE do not waste your time. I was moved to multiple people and on the third one I left. The first girl couldn’t size the tips correctly and couldn’t do the shape I wanted so kept questioning if I could function with long nails. The second girl had to cut all the tips off and redo them but couldn’t seem to cut them into shape with out cutting me because she was talking to everyone else. It's a little pricey, most places powdered nails cost $25-35, they charge $50. The worker did not pull back my cuticles and the nails came out blotchy (its suppose to be pink but has white blotches in it.) Went here fo get my fiance's nails done they did a terrible job nails weren't painted correctly and are always in a rush to get to the next customer not to mention how rude the staff are to customers who ask for refunds on jobs that as previously mentioned are very poorly done. I came here as a walk in for my pre wedding mani/pedi as the location is convenient and it seemed to be nice looking. I sat down for my pedi after asking for a "basic pedicure" (which normally does not exceed $35) and was charged $45! The gentleman who did it did a decent job but I don't ever remember getting a massage with salt scrub. It was not the most relaxing experience but I brushed it off because he was pleasant and detail oriented. My shellac French manicure left a lo...t to be desired. My lines are uneven and the polish has a rough texture on several nails. The lady who performed it was very pushy about trying to upgrade my pedicure to a shellac service (pedi was happening simultaneously) even though I repeatedly declined. Though the manicure was reasonable at $35, I felt it could have been much better. Upon leaving I readied myself to pay the inflated $80 bill. The lady at the front desk proceeded to charge me $85! By this time I just wanted out of there, paid my 85$ and left a very modest tip meant for the gentleman who did my pedicure. The front desk lady made a snide comment about my tip but I just left. Honestly the worst customer service I've ever had at the nail shop... I was totally annoyed - asked to have the back massager changed and guy doing my feet didn’t seem to understand English. Finally he pointed to the stop button which left the chair back in bad position to sit and relax. I asked for nails to be cut short and he ignored. Never will go there again. Was he even licensed??? Pedicure was maybe a 3 but service was a HUGE 0 , the worst I have ever experienced . Only reason I didn't walk out is I have a gift card from my husband . She was extremely rough and in a huge hurry the entire time . The whole pedicure took about 15 min, including polish . After her trying to up sell me a $60 pedicure and me saying no 10 times she grabbed the book , threw it down and rolled her eyes . I couldn't help but laugh at how blunt she was . Had 2 pedicures for my daughter and I. Tech left station and water overflowed from basin. I had a gel set put on while having my pedicure....never done that this before. All nails were all curved to the right. Paid even though I was unaware statified. Went back the next day....3 techs said that they looked fine but that they would fix the way I like. Tired of explaining my self I told one of the ladies to just take off set. They pull yet another tech to work on my nails. He had my nails soaking for 10 mins and then filed the rest of (didn't know they weren't suppose to do it this way) . New tech did a better job, but a few nails were still crocked and very thick, I also asked him to file them down since they were too long. He told me no....the picture you showed had them this lenght. For rerefence I took them a photo of a set that I had on a couple of months ago. ...long story short spent over $200 there, was not satified with one thing. I was passing the salon, in need of a redo on my nail dipping, thought I'd check it out. Nice decor, immediately greeted and seated. Small selection of dipping colors, but I don't mind. Their products were FRESH!! *** My usual salon is extremely busy with long waits and they heard you through like cattle. Which I've noticed in 2 of my last 3 visits results in bad nail products due to no time or concern for quality control in their vast selection.***I am only on my 5th nail dipping session but Expression Nails gave me the best one yet. They were really nice and very friendly. However, the quality of the nails are horrible to say the least. I got the dipping powder and to have paid $45 for nail that lasted 2day is ridicules!!! I got them on Good Friday (that afternoon) and by Sunday evening the clear gloss coating had chipped away on over half of my nails!! The final straw just came in now when I realized that my ring finger nail is lifting off. Like are you freaking kidding me??? The guy bragged about how great they were and that they would last longer then shellac..pffft yea right. I won't be going there again. I have been going here for about 3 months. Rose and her staff are great. They are so friendly and always there to provide the BEST care possible. I was a first time lash extension, and they were GREAT!!! If you didn't know for sure they weren't mine you wouldn't know. They helped me get the set that was natural and I love, love them. Anytime I have a problem they always get me in fast. Rose and her staff are TOP notch. I love my lashes and always feel great when I leave. The nail care is beyond belief. My nails look so good and people are always telling me that they love my nails. They allow you to chose what you want and do exactly what you ask. I took my daughters to get their nails and toes done as a treat. I got a manicure with paraffin. This was seriously the worst manicure I have ever received. I don't think she ever properly removed the paraffin before they were polished. By the time I left the salon, it had literally peeled off my nails like paraffin. I also think the polish was so old, that it would not cure. They also never cleaned up the excess polish on my cuticles. The only polish that stayed!I didn't even bother to tell them. I just left in disgust. Mainly because I was rushed out of the manicure table at lighting speed. By that evening my daughter's polish was chipping. One nail had a giant piece of cotton ball stuck underneath the polish.  I also did not think it was very clean. They put the instruments back into used plastic bags.I am still angry at myself for wasting our time and money. I haven't even mentioned how rude the staff was.Don't bother with this place. The business is well kept, however the customer service needs improvement and the services are very pricy. I've been there 2 times now and each time I have been dissatisfied with the service. Just experienced my first and last time at Expressions.  I went with 2 other coworkers for pedicures.  Enjoying our girl's day.  First impression was nice, great atmosphere.  We were greeted at the front door, asked what services we wanted.  Soon as we got to the pedicure chair one female gave us the menu and turned to the pedicure choices.  She kept pointing for my coworker and myself to get the $55 or $70 detox pedicure.  I briefly turned the menu page to see what else they offered and the female turned my menu page back.  I said I'm trying to see what else you all have here.  She kept calling us honey and pressuring us to get the $55 or $70 service.  We both said we wanted the $40 deluxe pedicure, then she tried to up sale us to get the $45 supper pedicure for the wax, which neither of us wanted.  The services was average.  Nothing extravagant and I should have timed the massage because I'm sure it wasn't the 15-30 minutes as reported in the menu for extra foot massage.  At check out the guy asked me if I'd been there before.  I said no.  He said do you live around here.  I said yes and I won't be back.  Instead of him asking me why or what happened, he said nothing.  Wow!  That says a lot about their customer service.  I couldn't wait to post a comment on here to let everyone know.  Don't be fooled with the beautiful decorations and free beverages.  What happened to providing good customer service.  And watch their prices.  I feel they are overpriced compared where I normally go.  I only went there because it was a convenient middle ground to meet the coworkers.  Never again! The lady doing my nails would get mad whenever I would point out if a nail wasn't put on straight or filed evenly and she did them much shorter than I wanted. I still thought they looked good but that only lasted one day. By the next day the polish was already chipping really bad! Read Less

When I first started they did a good job and Polish was on point.  Last 3 pedicure was bad didn't remove dead skin and polish came off next day, shellac Polish peeled off in a week and caused my natural nail to soften and peeled off. Will never return Read Less

Went in for a simple manicure and it's honestly the worse manicure I have ever received. I was asked approximately 5-6 times if I wanted to upgrade to a shellac/no chip manicure and even after I politely said no thank you and that I didn't like how it left my nails slightly weak afterward she continued to ask me to upgrade. That's fine, I understand it's a business so although it was frustrating I understand the reason behind it. Now on to the actual manicure itself. I asked for a French tip and the " natural pink" bled into the white tip on four of my finger nails and she only fixed it after I pointed each one out. I apologized for being " picky" though I don't believe i was being picky she just wasn't paying attention to what she was doing and was doing a very sloppy job. I went to check out/pay and noticed that there was a fifth nail where the pink polish bled into the white French tip... At this point I was somewhat irritated with the sloppy nail job and wasn't going to say anything as I was ready to just leave but I went  pay and my bill came out to $25. When I saw this I couldn't believe that it was so expensive for a simple manicure with French tip. I moved from Lincoln park in chicago which is a somewhat expensive area and even then I'd pay $12 plus an extra $5 for French tip. When I saw that it was $25 I became upset and insisted then that the technician fix the fifth nail. Luckily the manager saw how messed up the French tip was and quickly got the technician to fix it ( which is why I even gave this place two stars). I left with a mediocre but expensive manicure. Honestly, you should stay away from this place. It's a very convenient location as it is in the forum shopping center but don't come here. It will be frustrating experience and a waste of your money. Think twice before entering this place. I went to remove my acrylic nails and requested for shellac nails. The lady did a horrible job. She cut my skin twice and the color looked terrible. It was lumpy and the shade looked different on every nail. This was just a bad experience for me and the price was to expensive for the job she did. Never again. Read Less

I am very disappointed in my service today. I have been going to expression nails since it has opened and I see Phillip for my nails (SNS organic dipping powder) and Kent for my toes. I went last week and saw two other people, who did a absolutely horrible job; my toes chipped two days later and my nails looked like they need a fill. After spending $105 dollars I went back and complained and the owner said she would take care of me. Lies lies lies. I went back with my mom and sister-in-law who both got pedis and designs; the owner charges me for a whole new pedicure and said she would take $5 off all of our pedicures and gives us our military discount.... She didn't take anything off just the military discount and she tried to explain that it was not the technicians fault. I will absolutely not be back again. I really enjoyed the color changing fake nails, however the lady who did my nails left them way too thick, she left excess underneath my thumb nails as well, and made my cuticles bleed on my index finger. The place is very nicely decorated. I was not happy with my pedicure, you need to pay for the most expensive pedicure to get good service. The employees are constantly trying to sell you something instead of providing good service. Vicki cut me and said it was because she over-filed.There is still dead skin left and they said it was because they do a "light" exfoliation, you have to pay for the $60.00 pedi for them to get it right.  I will not be back. Decided to come and check out this place due to another salon's mess up. So glad I did. They have kiddie chairs for my girls. They took their time with my 5 and 4 yr old girls.  This place is clean and nicely decorated.  The only reason I didn't believe them 5 stars is because they were slightly short handed this morning but give them some credit it is a Sunday.  Love my mani, pedi with a design. Nice staff and location and the shop is laid out nicely. I paid $40 for a subpar French shellac manicure. Definitely not worth it, the tip looks silly... way too thick and crooked. I asked her to fix and she says it's already curing. While preparing my nails she pulled out dirty cuticle clippers and other tools. Nasty! Autoclave only for this girl. Would not return.
