This place sucked. They rush too much and mess up a lot an older lady did mine she didnt know how to finish painting the whole nail. I made her remove all my nail polish she did because she kept going to fast. Then after she removed it she ran to the foot spa and started on someone else. I think she should leave the painting to the younger girls who can actually see. Too pricy for such a lousy job. Stay away from this place- it's filthy and the San Marcos police told me that they have been suspected of HUMAN TRAFFICKING. I believe it after my experience. I went in for an eyebrow wax and the waxer burnt the skin off my eyelids. She did not speak English and simply giggled creepily. I went to speak with the manager/owner and she denied that my lids were burnt and skin lifted as she stared at them. This was unbelievable. I told her calmly that I wasn't paying and left at once. She followed me outside and screamed "you pay!" and I showed her my damage again- I'd be damned if I paid even $1 for this damage. I said that I wouldn't and she said she was calling the police- I said please do (hoping she would, because I was going to do the same). I got in my car and she OPENED THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR. I was shocked. Then she started grabbing the things I had on my passenger seat including my daughter's ipad! I wrestled it out of her hands and put the car in reverse hoping she would leave me alone (my lids were still on fire). She kept screaming and I told her I was calling the police and she wouldn't move. So I put my car in drive and drove away. Unbelievable! Once I was safely away from her i called the san marcos PD who confirmed that they would not be coming after me, I was in the right, and that they wouldn't be calling because they are suspected HUMAN TRAFFICKERS. Bin did my nails and I am so pleased ..... I have over 20 years experience with getting my nails done and recently moved to San Marcos ....  This is the only salon that was close to LA or Atlanta.   They had to replace a full set from another salon here which was a horrible job.  The nails were lifting, shaped horribly, and very thick.  Pro Nails fixed my nails and they are beautiful.  I have traveled across the country and received compliment everywhere.  I received the shape, length and color I asked for.  Thank you, Pro Nails this is my shop while I am in San Marcos,,,, Read Less

I've been going here for as long as I remember and they use to be amazing but after they changes owners this place went to hell! The lady who did my eyebrows completely messed them up and when I asked for a manager she completely ignored me. If I could rate it zero stars I would. I went in this Saturday & I Had a girl name Tammy do my nail's & she did a horrible job. My nails weren't shaped the same some where square and some where coffin shaped, my right hand nails were longer than the other side, 2 of my nails are sticking out like if they are going to pop off. & she kept hitting my hand and yanked my arm, like ask me no need for that. I went in to get my gel manicure removed, it was chipping 3 days after getting it done. So I sat and soaked the polish off. When the lady came to finish my nails, she POURED THE ACETONE BACK IN THE BOTTLE. Now I know it's acetone so it shouldn't pass and bacteria, but I am so grossed out that it's reused. DON'T GO HERE. I usually don't write reviews for places, good or bad but I had such a terrible experience here I want it to be public. I've been here once and had a decent experience which is why I gave it another go but the second time around was such a mistake. I went in for a manicure and pedicure. First, the tech I had spoke no English whatsoever. She had to ask another person who was working on another client every time she needed to speak to me. Which wasn't a big deal at first until the second tech, a younger girl, got a major attitude. I had noticed that my big toes hadn't been filed to be a straight line, they were very slanted which would have driven me crazy. I asked politely if they could be filed to be straight across. I know, the nerve of me. The younger tech came over and proceeded to file my nail very aggressively until it actually burned my toe and said "There. They're straight now." I was completely taken aback and let the other tech finish my pedicure. I paid for the pedicure and went somewhere else for my manicure. These people are never getting my business again and they shouldn't get yours. There are so many other nail salons in the area. Read Less

Terrible experience. No eye contact worst nailexpetience ever. We had 4 for pedicure  my daughter was totally ignored until 3 of us were finished. Not the best place to get your nails done! Customer service is not great. I asked for a coffin nail and what that lady did barely even counts as that style. I asked for rhinestones shaped like a triangle on 2 nails and she placed them so sloppy ( it lookedlike my 6 year old son glued them on my nail) they were overlapping each other. I asked get if she could fix it and she didn't want to (she blamed it on the rhinestones but she just didn't want to take her time) so I told her just to take them off. Quality of service is poor. Good place to get a basic no fuss services, they get the job done. I wish they had more colors and current collections that names companies offer (i.e. essie, OPI, etc.) and Wifi, but otherwise a nice place.  For a basic mani pedi it was $36. Read Less

I came to this shop last weekend to get my nails done for a party and I was very pleased with the service. I was greeted immediately and the wait was not long at all, considering how busy they were. My nail technician was friendly, professional, and she took her time to make sure my nails looked perfect. I was even impressed that they have a liner. I think this shop is the only shop in San Marcos to have a liner, so if you are looking for an exceptionally clean and sanitized nail salon, then I highly recommend this place. I was happy to find a place open in the evening (7pm). I was surprised when they could see me right away.   Pedicure water was cold (when every pedicure I've had in the past was hot water). Employee seemed bothered when I asked her to warm it. Employee cut me when cutting my nails. She cut my toenails so short, I'm concerned I will get an ingrown nail.  Then came the hot towels. Horrible service! I came in and waited way longer than they said the wait was. Not only that but the guy who did my nails was super rough and was just trying to get me in and out going as fast as he could. I had a manicure and he literally slapped on the lotion, rubbed it in a little bit and told me to go wash. Honestly terrible. I asked for a design and instead of saying they couldn't do it scribbled something on and acted annoyed when I said to take it off. Then instead of slipping on the flip flops I brought they put the toss aways on me despite my insisting that my flip flops were fine and I've worn them for multiple pedicures. I'm definitely not the girliest girl you'll ever meet but I like the feeling (and look of course) after having a manicure, pedicure or eyebrow wax. Just typing this, I cannot stop starring at the manicure I got yesterday - my pretty nails hitting the keys make me happy and if that is weird, whatever!Spa Pro Nails is my go to nail & eyebrow waxing place in San Marcos. The staff is friendly and efficient and always does a good job on my nails and eyebrows.Prices are inexpensive... I mean a manicure for $12 and spa pedicure for only $25! I get Shellac (gel) because it lasts longer... it does cost more & take more time BUT it's worth it! Spa Pro has at least 30-40 gel colors to choose from which is nice compared to some other places that have as little as 10!Although English is not the predominant language, the technicians are so nice and offer you water or a soda while you get your nails done and they always have a smile on their faces.Don't forget to get your loyalty card signed because after 10 visits, you get a free eyebrow wax and ahh I am only one mani/pedi away! I started coming to this nail salon a few years ago because I got a gift card. I have kept coming back to this nail salon because of the staff. They are always polite and respectful (even when I do some thing dumb like super glue a nail back on because I don't know when I can get it fixed). The prices seem reasonable, and most importantly the place is ALWAYS clean. Yes there are new owners, and almost a while new shop of technicians, I still like the place. Be advised that English is not the first language spoken here and if it bothers you then you might consider another nail salon.
