I took a family member to get a pedicure (she hasn't had one in about 30 years). I tipped 10% at the end and the lady laughed at us and asked if that's what I was really going to tip ?? I was flustered and embarrassed when she said that in front of the other customers. But I stood my ground and said, Yes it is. She scoffed at me and ran to the other nail tech laughing at the tip. I'll also mention that when I asked her to use a certain color my tech told me it was "ugly" and if I was sure!!! I said, yes. I got a full set with pink and white powder. The place was empty, but the guy still acted like he was in a rush. He was rough and broke skin around multiple nails. One of my nails was crooked because he didn't really check as he filed them. The tips are different thickness and most of them aren't very straight. I won't be going back. Read Less

DONT GET TOUR NAILS DONE HERE. I got a new set and one nail cracked and then one broke off within a week and a half of having them. I went back and I got them fixed and I also got a fill and then not even 2 days after getting them redone, two of my nails broke and I also had a painful crack in another one. I got my nails done long so they are easier to break, but I always get my nails done long and this has NEVER happened to me. I went back today and I was hoping for good customer service since every time I come I tip very well, but that was NOT what I received. I told him how I was just here 2 days ago to get my nails fixed and I already have 2 more broken and a cracked nail. I don't know about you, but if I had a client that came to me on a regular basis and tipped well then I would offer to fix them for free. Well instead, he told me "you don't know how to have long nails and I had to pay $10 to get them taken off." I just think that's ridiculous. I'm a college student and I already paid for my nails to get done twice in one month. I can't afford to get them done every two days. Well I already knew I wasn't going to come back to get my nails done here, but I was hoping he would show good customer service and fix them so I could hopefully wear them till the month ends. I don't know if they are using cheap/bad powder, but I get solar nails and they should not be breaking like this. Also, go somewhere else because they don't use the two powders when doing solar French nails. All in all, I'm disappointed and I WILL NOT be coming back here. There are never any customers when I come in (today there was one actually), but now I know why. Excellent pedicure. I did the Mango Tangerine upgrade. The calf and foot massage was the best I've ever had during a pedicure, which is why I had to leave a review. Just heavenly! Visited this salon for a basic pedicure today! Wow! This is the cleanest, most professional looking, nail salon I have every seen. The staff was very courteous, attractively dressed, and, wore matching professional aprons. During my pedicure I received a wonderful foot massage, and, while at the drying table, was given a mini shoulder massage. Wish all businesses offered such great customer service! Read Less

Let's start at the beginning. The woman sitting up front eating a sponge cake had an attitude as if i was interrupting her. Sorry this is your job! The design was that of a 6th grader, my 13 year old sister could have done a better job. She didn't polish my nails or toes right with spots missing polish. And lastly they charged me an extra $50 for gel polish!!! Then the man had an attitude with me when I told him its $15 everywhere else. When he insisted that I was wrong I called a nearby nail salon only .6 miles away just to verify that it is $15 everywhere else I told him simply that he should notify his customers before they begin that there gel polish is an extra 25 but he still had an attitude. So where I would normally pay about $50 for pedicure and refill they charge me $100 I am sickly disgusted I almost want to boycott nail salons all together. In town for the day, and needing quick and reasonably priced pedis, my daughter and I found this place on Yelp. I don't want to parrot other reports, but as a licensed cosmetologist, I'll mention a couple of things I noticed and appreciated about the service at K Nails.Just as reported by other commenters, there was great attention to cleanliness. Both our operators wore gloves and masks, and their tools were sterilized and packaged. During her preparations, my technician dropped a tool. After picking it up, she immediately deposited it in a receptacle for later cleaning, and replaced it with one from another sterile package. I found myself thinking that I was glad this occurred in the front of the salon, allowing me to witness the attention to cleanliness.Unlike technicians in many other nail salons I've patronized, these folks refrained from excessive chatting and bantering in their native language (obviously not English), which put me much more at ease as I relaxed in the chair - I didn't have to sit there wondering what on earth they were talking about. Incidentally, the chair might be my only "complaint." The automated massage operation was a bit rough and jostled me about a couple of times, but it actually felt nice today - I had spent most of the day walking around the outlet mall and was in need of a good back rub!
