This is the worst nail place I have ever been to. Don’t make the same mistake I did! My nails looked absolutely horrible, and my friends and family thought so too. The technician cut my fingers open with the file several times and it was very painful to sit through for an hour. When I asked for my money back, they refused and offered to fix it instead. Seeing how they did such a horrible job to begin with, I did not want them touching my nails, so I kept insisting on getting my money back. The owner finally agreed to refund me ONLY IF HE COULD CUT MY NAILS OFF with clippers (not fully remove them). Not impressed with the work at all. The tech didn't ask me if I wanted them long or short, they seemed too in a rush to get people in and out and there were only 2 customers actually getting manicures done!! Nails had bubbles in them, one of my pinky nails has a lump on the side from the powder and she left one thumb longer than the other. Paid $35, but honestly it wasn't even worth it! I was visiting my daughter who had been to this salon a couple times. First, every design my daughter asked about was just flat out refused with a flat no. Mind you, the requests were nothing radical. One was even a design the have listed on their price board, "marble tip". When I inquired the lady acted like she didn't understand what I was saying. The kicker of the whole visit came next. A lady came in asking if she could use the restroom. Her son was meeting the shuttle to depart for the Marines but the recruiting office was closed. They first acted like they didn't understand what she was saying, then topped it off with telling her to walk across the parking lot and go to the Marshall's. I was stunned! As a military mom with 2 children who have served I was embarrassed. I understand that she wasn't a customer, but it was so out of line. Horrible!!! The quality was poor with gel process...the lady was rude. Then went back next day to change color on ring finger and got the same rude lady. All would have been okay but she walked off and didnt finish my nails. She told the old guy and he spayed something and it wasnt alcohol so the nails were all smeared...WTF. The pedicure was perfect! But my hands look bad, I don't know much about nails but my cuticles were bleeding. Even after I said this hurts she kept cutting. There is super glue all over my hands and there is a gap in between the acrylics and my nail, looks like I need a refill already. Will get them redone tomorrow Read Less

I went in for a mani pedi, they had only two other clients in and at first they were great (the young  girl is awesome on the pedi) but then the mani girl came over during my deluxe pedi and totally ruined it by making me soak in cold water and roughly pushing my cuticles which bled. So to save time I gave my credit card to the Rude Ruler only to be told that I had no money or credit. Give me money or new card I try 3 times. I viewed my bank balance on line (it was a debit card) and clearly showed him I had plenty of cash. his receipts read communication error/So I Called Wells Fargo and verified and gave him the phone as well. All the while everyone was talking and were anything but nice and the manicurest half way done  started doing a worse job than before . Ruler tells me he call police and I cannot leave . Get someone to come here bring money. Tried to get him to ride with me to ATM, he refused and made me leave my drivers licence and cell phone I came back in 2 minutes and he said they figured out it was his CREDIT CARD MACHINE FAULT. He did apologize but then over charged me by ten bucks and I already incurred a 3 charge for atm, and I stupidly gave manicure girl a 3 dollar tip.Pedicure girl $4 (which she should of gotten all) So I was overcharged and underserviced  and treated badly! If there were no stars that is what I would give this place. We had a wedding party of 7 for pedi's. Was at the salon at 10 when they were supposed to be open and waited for 10 min and still not open. Walked down to another store for a few min and came back to get pedi and was told it would be 20 min. Waited and waited for over an hour. The thing that gripes me is that they say 20 min and no one can understand ENGLISH!!! The "slave master" walking around needs to do something. This is one place that I will NEVER go to again!!! First and last time I go to JB nails! They did a horrible and messy work! It was a guy that did my nails! I hate my nails I went somewhere else took them off! I'm not that picky but they completely rushed through both my pedicure and manicure as well as blatantly missing spots with my gel manicure. When the woman doing my fingers she noticed one the several places it was messed up and missing polish she proceeded to blame me for it as she fixed it. Do not think i will be coming here again. If I could rate this place no stars I would.. I am new to the area.  Me and my mom have been looking for a place of get our nails done.  We stumbled across this place and the staff seemed nice so we decided to stay.. We were there maybe 20mins or so then it started to getting busy - I don't like being at a nail salon when it is busy because i hate feeling like they are rushing on my nails.. Which is exactly what happened. I told the lady I like my nails long and square. She did good on the first three but she started rushing bc there were about 4 people behind me and they were already closed ( even though I got there at 5:00 - close at 7:00) Long story Short she made my thumb nails look like fans.  Very wide.  I kept asking her to fix them and she replied " later " .. Then she kept giving me such a bad attitude from that point on.  . My nails were so bad I walked my ass to ulta - 2 stores down and bought supplies to fix them myself ! . I will never go there again.. And the dumb lady got no tip from me.. She was short and had blonde hair and had such a bad attitude.  Someone seriously needs to open a place that has American Speaking NORMAL NON rude Bitches working!  These Asians are on my last nerve! Don't waste your time or your money. There are far betters place than this one to get your nails done. I decided to try this place since it was right by the Sam's Club big mistake. They first hassled me about how long it to me to choose my color but to be honest the color selection is not great. 85% or more of their polishes are thick, chunky, and old. When I finally found something for my manicure my service was less than steller. The tech wanted to skip the base coat and just go straight to the color and I had to argue with her about it. Then she stopped mid polish to start an acrylic full set on another client while I waited for 15 mins with only 1 hand painted.Went to pay (which I should have just left) and they hassled me about paying with a credit card and not having cash. The staff is very kind and I'm always seen in a very reasonable amount of time. The pedicures and manicures I've gotten have looked very good and lasted. They have won me over here in San Marcos after many attempts at most other salons in here. Read Less

I have had some of my best pedicures done by several ladies here. The language barrier is minimum and your never left felt just like a number. Each time I go in my visit is so pleasent. Greeted with a smile, little to no wait and flawless pedis. They do tend to try and up sell me on waxing my eye brows but who isn't trying to make an extra dollar these days. The pedicure was really relaxing. The place is nice. The people are polite. However my nail polish on both of my big toes is not anywhere near close to smooth. Not that big of a deal but annoying. I would expect a nail salon to be able to do something as simple as painting toe nails. Read Less

Its a very relaxing and friendly environment when i first came here. Its very clean and sanitize, the technician actually speaks English. They offer you water, sodas. Very friendly. They don't rush you like other places I've went to in San Marcos. They take their time to make you feel comfortable and relax. I've been coming here ever since they had open.
