I had mine done by the manager. He did a fantastic job. I could not get them done again for three weeks. When I came to San Marcos i was searching for a good nail salon and every time i saw someone with nails i loved i'd ask where they got their nails done and every time it was here! so i tried it out and i really loved my nails when he was done! I have no clue why there are bad reviews for this place. The staff is so genuine & friendly. They have so many options for pedicures & mine turned out perfect. My acrylic turned out great too, for sure the best place I've found in San Marcos & I've been to basically every one of them. Read Less

A lot of these reviews that are bad are from a couple of years ago. They have completely redone the place with new chairs, pedicure tubs, and offer an amazing selection of colors. They have added more employees and have grown their business quite a bit since I first went there a year and a half ago. I go there religiously and have turned a few people onto them. They are so nice and helpful and if there is a problem with the work that they have done, they will usually fix it for free! I have never had my eyebrows or anything done but as far as SNS nails, pedicures, and other nail services they are top notch!! Read Less

My experience at Hot Nails was one of the best nail salon experiences I've ever had. We came in with a very large group for my best friend's wedding and the staff greeted us with a sandwich platter, fruit tray, candy and beverages. They closed down the salon to all walk-ins to give our group sufficient attention and time to be pampered. Our services were top notch and every single one of us walked out with beautiful nails from a variety of services  (shellac, manis, powder dip, pedis, spa treatments, etc.). I REALLY WANTED TO LIKE THIS PLACE ITS CLOSE TO HOME THEY HAVE EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE SUPER FRIENDLY AND THE NAIL TECH WAS TALKATIVE AND FUNNY BUT THE QUALITY OF THEIR WORK IS HORRIBLE I GOT REGULAR ACRYLIC NAILS TWO DAYS AFTER I GOT THEM IT LOOKED LIKE I NEEDED A FILL ITS GOING ON A WEEK NOW I HAVE HAD THEM DONE AND ONE IS READY TO FALL OFF. Never coming back! The lady did a terrible job painting my nails. She didn't paint the sides of my nails. I go back to get them repainted the next day and the guy starts using a different color. He hid the color I wanted because he didn't want to use it on me! I couldn't believe them. He said "no this is the color you gave me" & I said "no this is the color I gave you. Let me start by saying I am from California and just arrived in Texas before I walked into this horrible place of "business". First of all not only did they only have three people working, they kept telling people 10 minutes when really it was an hour wait. I witnessed a customer walk out because she had waited too long. Secondly, one of the workers children was climbing all over me talking my ear off, when all I wanted to do was sit and get my nails done. She was touching me with dirty tools and no one told her to calm down or sit else where. I acted cool, calm and collected because I thought "hey maybe someone would be courteous enough to make her stop", but no. It took me an hour to get my nails done, and after all that my mom was waiting to get a gel change. All in all it took us almost 3 hours to get out of there. I have NEVER been to such an establishment. Lastly, we were extremely over charged. It is our fault, but my mom and I were so over the lack of professionalism we paid the amount and left in a hurry! I was happy with the services I received on my walk-in visit to this salon.  While Ithe "salon"  is very low key, no frills, my nails look beautiful and  I was very relaxed.   I was skeptical at the timidness of my technician, at first it felt like she was unsure, but once she got to the massage portion, I knew she meant business!   The gentleman who did my manicure could have given a little more attention to the massage part because that's my favorite!  Overall it was a very nice and relaxing experience and i was pleased with the results!  I would recommend to anyone looking for an inexpensive mani/pedi job!
