While visiting my daughter this week, we were out shopping and I ended up with slight nail emergency. I walked in and asked for a touch of nail glue. The girl behind the desk whipped over to a nail station and fixed me right up. No charge. She thanked me for coming in. Great service and we will be back!

I have been to alpha nails many times and have services done by Vincent and loved them. The last time I went I called for an appointment at 5:45 with Vincent and they booked me for 5:30 instead. So when I showed up on time for my 5:45 appointment they told me I was late and that they had already seated Vincent. I was told I could wait for him which would’ve been almost 45 minutes or take another nail specialist. They sat me with a bobby within 5 minutes. He was rushing me to sit so instead of finding an actual color I wanted I just chose white shellac on top of acrylic nails which I have gotten before. The whole time he was quick which was appreciated, but very sloppy. My nails are uneven although I asked him to file them straighter many times, and when he put the shellac on top it was so thick and uneven. I got my nails done less than a week ago and a few of them have chipped terribly. My roommate has also had terrible experiences here as well. Nonetheless I am extremely dissatisfied and will not be returning and spending my money here.

I came shopping with my boyfriend for Memorial Weekend and after a day of walking we stopped at Alpha Nails Spa to get a pedicure. First impression was that the nail spa is very tidy and elegant. We received the deluxe pedicure which was a great price for the amazing service. The two people who did our pedicures were extremely welcoming and even held a very long conversation with my boyfriend about shoes lol. We will definitely be coming back here when we shop again! I highly recommend.

I’ve been coming here since I got to TXST and I love it! It’s the perfect place to get a full set and pedicure. It’s extremely relaxing and quiet (so if you need to study during a pedicure you can do that) which is a plus in my book. They have a student discount and complementary wine as well! Michelle does my full sets usually and I would highly recommend her because she is fast and great at shaping your nails!

I wish i could post a picture of my nails!!! They’re so great! Vincent gave me the best set I’ve had in months! He was fun to chat with and extremely quick. A lot of time quick sets = bad quality and cutting corners, not with Vincent!! He did everything i look to be done in a manicure, did a perfect shape, the design was exactly what i asked for. They have Black light receptive colors, matte gel top coat, and like 100 colors to choose from! I got a full set with a design on 2 nails in gel polish and it was only $58!!! Very clean and they offer drinks while you’re getting your service! This is the best place I’ve been to in San Marcos! 10/10 recommend!

I see I am not the only one to leave a bad review. Today my daughter went to her appointment, the manicurist removed her polish and then told my daughter she would not fill her acrylics unless she signed a promissory letter stating that she would not leave a bad review. My daughter agreed and then they still refused to do her nails. They were very rude and actually were so horrible to my 19 year old daughter that she cried. Really Helen’s? College girls stay clear of this place.

I always get my nails done here and there hasn't been a time where I come out upset. Their nail technicians are by far the best and are really creative on their work. After all they make sure that you are satisfied with their work and they will make adjustments for you. Not to mention their complimentary drinks (wine, water, you got it) they also do student discounts!

I really enjoyed this nail salon at first...I got my nails done this past Wednesday and two days later one of my fingers started swelling, getting extremely tender, getting hot and a spot started tuning green... I've never had this happen to me and since my nail was just a little swollen and tender at first I didn't think that much of it but once it started turning green I knew something was wrong. I have never felt a pain like I did when my boyfriends mom(a paramedic) stuck a needle in the green and started to squeeze...the puss that came out of my finger was so gross!! My finger is in so much pain and I'll never come back. I wish I would have taken a picture of the gunk that came out of my finger

SO rude! I went to this salon with a bridal party and we were running a little late and when we arrived we were told to hurry and choose colors. No hello or welcome just rude immediately. The nail techs were rude and rushed through our manicures with a bad attitude and a completely unprofessional manner. And it wasn’t just one person, several of them! Horrible service and customer experience. And on top of it all, my manicure started chipping within one day. Happy to never go back.

I was meeting my aunt at the outlets in San Marcos and needed to get my nails done before the weekend, so I decided to stop in here for a regular pedi and gel manicure. The guy who did my toes and nails was incredibly nice, but his work was mediocre and the appointment took an hour and a half. I could tell he was trying to be very diligent, which is why the pedicure took so long. There weren't a lot of customers coming in so he wasn't in a rush, but I can only imagine that the quality of the nails goes down here when there is a rush. In general the staff did not seem well trained. My gel nails peeled off a few days later which was also very disappointing. I would not recommend coming here.

I am very disappointed in two recent appointments. Overcharged and not satisfied with the work for myself and daughter and then they still charged my dear family member after she fell in the salon to the point of having a concussion and now needing therapy from the incident. Helens is money driven; not customer driven.

I really want to give this place a better review but I can't. To start off, I waited two hours to get my nails done when I was told the wait was 30 minutes. So then they offered me a discount, well that would be fine except for the fact that I still paid $40 for a set of acrylics. $40 dollars. They didn't cut my cuticles at all. She did a nice job on my nails themselves but for $40 and a two hour wait, I think that I should have just taken my business elsewhere. They are very nice, but I guess it was just an unusually busy day.

While visiting my daughter this week, we were out shopping and I ended up with slight nail emergency. I walked in and asked for a touch of nail glue. I have been to alpha nails many times and have services done by Vincent and loved them. The last time I went I called for an appointment at 5:45 with Vincent and they booked me for 5:30 instead. So when I showed up on time for my 5:45 appointment they told me I was late and that they had already seated Vincent. I always get my nails done here and there hasn't been a time where I come out upset. Their nail technicians are by far the best and are really creative on their work. After all they make sure that you are satisfied with their work and they will make adjustments for you. I really enjoyed this nail salon at first...I got my nails done this past Wednesday and two days later one of my fingers started swelling, getting extremely tender, getting hot and a spot started tuning green... I've never had this happen to me and since my nail was just a little swollen and tender at first I didn't think that much of it but once it started turning green I knew something was wrong. I was meeting my aunt at the outlets in San Marcos and needed to get my nails done before the weekend, so I decided to stop in here for a regular pedi and gel manicure. The guy who did my toes and nails was incredibly nice, but his work was mediocre and the appointment took an hour and a half. I could tell he was trying to be very diligent, which is why the pedicure took so long. There weren't a lot of customers coming in so he wasn't in a rush, but I can only imagine that the quality of the nails goes down here when there is a rush. In general the staff did not seem well trained. My gel nails peeled off a few days later which was also very disappointing. I would not recommend coming here.

So then they offered me a discount, well that would be fine except for the fact that I still paid $40 for a set of acrylics. $40 dollars. They didn't cut my cuticles at all.
