So disappointed. Called ahead and asked if they did ombre dip and they said yes. The girl who did my nails wasn't sure on the technique. The brush they used to drop the glitter powder on my nails was old, worn out, and the bristles had paint/powder caked in - it looked so disgusting that I said something about maybe they should get a new one.. to which they replied "it wont affect the quality of your nails". Then the girl started doing the glitter tips, and it was obvious she was not used to doing ombre. The other nailed tech came over and tried to help, and ended up sanding off 3 nails that the first girl had done and starting over. My nail tech also did not know how to do coffin shaped nails, so the other nail tech had to help with that as well. The nails were uneven, the technique was poor, they had to keep reshaping it and in the end, they looked terrible. I got so frustrated trying to explain what they needed to look like that I gave up and just said yeah they look fine. They didn't even file under my nails so i had chunks of glitter and excess powder caked on when I left. I went straight to another salon and had them redone immediately. Read Less

David is amazing w the dip powder. Took me a year or two to find him but I won’t be going anywhere else. Busy mom/student/work full time and they lasted a solid 3 weeks, no breaking and I show my nails no mercy! Here now for my next go around and the sangria is a bonus! Read Less

Really nice and clean nail salon and all the workers speech English which is great so there is no confusion. A little on the pricey side than regular salons but worth it’s worth it. They focus on making you feel relaxed and even offer you a drink :). Read Less

I've been looking for a nail salon for a while.  It seems as if they're all getting sloppy.  I mostly go to get pedicures. Some cut my toe nails wrong, paint my toes instead of my toe nails, do the bare minimum etc..  I read some good reviews about this place and thought I would check them out.  They had a lot of people waiting but they were fast and I didn't have to wait long.  The staff was very nice and greeted me and offered me something to drink. They had a great nail polish selection. The pedicure went by super fast but wasn't impressed.  I asked them to trim my nails and when they did, she then went over them with a nail file that was so old it didn't really file my toe nails ( I can feel the ragged edges).  The toe nail painting was ok, but left some spots without nail polish ( I wasn't able to tell until I got home and really looked).  The actual cleaning of the nails was bare minimum.I thought I had found a place but I'll keep looking... I absolutely love this place! I have been in San Antonio for 7 years and found myself bouncing around nail salons until my friend Nicole introduced me to this place about a year ago. And thank god she did! I finally found "my nail place". This salon is very clean, the employees are always friendly, and every nail tech does an impeccable job. I get the dipping powder manicures for $40 and they generally last about 3 weeks! I also get regular pedicures every other time I get my hands done, and I have never been unsatisfied. I cannot sing this salon's praises enough, and they can consider me a faithful customer for as long as I live in San Antonio! Read Less

I've been going to Zen Nails for almost a year now and have never been happier with a salon. The staff is kind, the salon is clean and the prices are reasonable. They have a wonderful selection of services as well as colors to choose from--especially the SNS dipping powder. It is always a good idea to call ahead, as they get busy and will be more than happy to schedule you for an appropriate time to be seen right away. I chose zen because of their wide selection of dip colors.  Not only is it a better selection than I've found elsewhere, I also feel confident they are doing a lot of dip manicures.   I was really pleased with the result. I like my nails very short and usually need to have the tech go back and trim them some more.  Vincent understood exactly what I wanted and did my nails beautifully.  I also had one of most relaxing pedicures ever - the tech doing the massage was so focused on doing a thorough job.  Other places I often feel like the massage is something they feel like they just go through the motions.  The staff is super friendly and attentive.   I watched them make each customer net feel welcome and appreciated. I went in a Monday, which was fine.  They did suggest that weekdays are the best experience if you can do that - weekends are apparently pretty busy.  I'll be back! Read Less

The service was prompt! The woman who did my Shellac manicure was very quick and very good! I was taken care of and very pleased with results. I got the Zen stress free pedicure and it was amazing! The older gentleman nicked my toe and that hurt quite a bit. But the experience was still very good! They offer a complimentary drink and a very good massage chair. I'd visit again. Must have new owners . A 28 dollar pedicure use to also include hot towels . It shoots up to $38 for hot towels I wouldn't mind $30 but that's a huge price difference for hot towels . I would pay 38 for a speciality pedicure but that's not what I wanted today .I was also getting a set of nails but I left . I went up the street and it was just as nice $28 included hot towels . Clean on the inside which is the very first thing that I pay attention to. I came in to have a full set and pedicure done. The style that I wanted for the full set they were unable to do so I had to settle for something that was decent. However the style I wanted for my pedicure they were able to do so I guess that kind of made up for it. All in all it's a nice place if you want to go there, I recommend it. Read Less

Very clean!! They have secured my pedicure business permanently just because you can tell they have a careful commitment to hygiene. This was my first pedicure in 15 years because pedicure bath hygiene has been such a sensitive issue for me. They did a great job. All the tools were carefully packed up and each pedicure bath had it own plastic. I also got a dip manicure. I have a pit in one thumb nail, so when the nail tech ground down the dip powder, my nail showed through. I pointed it out and she removed the whole application and redid the nail. They obviously care about customer satisfaction. I've been to other nail salons that have an attitude that if you have a defect in your nail, it's not their job to make it work. Ist time here and hated the experience. Just came from having injections put in my neck and was looking to pamper myself to lift my spirits... Instead tbe lady misunderstood what I wanted and began cutting my nails. I asked what she was doing and told her to stop! The gentleman then comes over, asks me what it was that I wanted, then proceeds to tell me her English isn't too good and that he's already told her before, "if she didn't understand something, to ask him". I'm sorry, bit that isn't my problem, so I had them just remove the acrylic I previously had and nothing else! So I'm leaving salon with my nails looking horrible! I love this place. Great prices and your nails will look great. I do have to say that the owners do the best nails and pedicures so ask for one of them! They serve wine and it's very clean inside. I was very pleased to finally find a spot to get my nails and toes done. If you like the trendy stuff they do that too. All in all I highly recommend this place. Read Less
