I hate leaving negative reviews but I had a bad experience here. It was the worst manicure I had ever had. The first round he missed several (large) spots on multiple fingers with the gel polish. When I pointed it out he got frustrated and without explaining what he was doing ground the polish off and cut my finger in the process. He kept saying that it was the color I chose (a pale pink) and that I was moving that was the problem. He did end up doing it over but it was still a sloppy job and I ended up leaving with polish all over my fingers. What should have been a quick in and out polish job ended up taking an hour. Overpriced and always rushing. I am giving three stars since Nini does a great job when doing my nails. The owner lady does my waxing and she did a terrible job today. I gave her the benefit of the doubt since they were busy two last times. She did not do a proper clean up and hurt me today because the wax was too hot. She needs to slow down. I came with a friend and while I think they are very nice this was my first experience here getting a shellac pedi and sns nails. They were very accommodating getting both of our toes and nails done at same time, but I need to say even though I was enjoying my friends company the experience was less than perfect, the girl doing my toes pulled on my pinky cuticle instead of cutting it and it hurt real bad!! Not to mention the shellac started to come off a day later, my shellac always lasts a long time on my toes!!! The other gal doing my nails cut three of my fingers while using the round smoothing machine, and they bleed and hurt like crazy!! I didn't want to make a big deal out of it with my friend sitting beside me as she asked my to spend a relaxing morning with her there! My fingers are swollen and hurt today and I hope they heal up soon as I've never had anyone cut my cuticles that bad before.   I will say she asked if I was ok, and I did say yes, so not to make a big deal out of it, so I can't complain too much. My hour and a half spent here went a little like this. I stopped in on a whim. I had some polish I didn't like on my nails and wanted to change to SNS. Simple enough. I wanted a short/slim squared shape in nude. Lady by the name of Michelle removes my polish and starts buffing.The color I chose showed a pretty hue on the lid(there are no swatches available like at other salons) despite the powder in the container looking pink she said it would look nude like the lid. I'm concerned but I go along with it. She begins to dip. And the color is a shimmery shade of pink. Not what I want at all. I point this out and at this point she goes from buffing my nails carefully to simply man handling them and just being harsh. My nails and hands are brittle, this hurt. The shape looks awful, I fix it myself. But of course I'm getting my nails done to get pampered not to do it myself. I'm irritated. Another lady by the name of LILI(owner) suggest they will do shellac over the sns, because of Michelle's mess up. At this point they're closed and all I hear from Michelle is some annoyed huffing and breathing. LILI stops Michelle and says she will do them herself. She does and they look ok to say the least but upon inspecting them this morning they are horrendous and by far the worst nail job I have gotten. Read Less

Been going to them for at least 1.5 years. Nini is my girl!!!! She's awesome. Considering the price and proximity of this place, I give it 5 stars. There are always better and more expensive nail salons, but this place does good work if you get the right nail tech. Read Less

Every. Time I leave, I am left with product under my nails. My own nail is extremely thinned out to the point that they hurt, and the fake nail,shellac or gel nail is left looking like I already need to get a filling done on that same day. I've given them more than plenty of tries but each time I am left with a crappy job. Last time I went, the lady kept burning my finger and finger bed with the thinning machine even after asking to slow it down because it was hurting. They don't pay attention, they sit there and laugh within each other. Either they don't care, or don't enjoy their job. Never again am I coming back. I've been here twice. First time was AMAZING! I had a man do my pedicure while a woman did my manicure. It was the Deluxe mani/pedi and it was perfect. I am a snob about clean edges and it was done really really good. I selected a regular Opi polish. I came a second time for another Deluxe mani/pedi (regular Opi polish) and the woman who did my nails was very nice but my nails looked awful. I even asked another woman to fix the edges while they were getting dried and she did the best she could, I guess. I was not happy when I left. You can see in the photos that it looks like a rush job and is just SO sloppy. My cuticles needed more work, too. Bright side: They're all very nice and friendly. Read Less

I can't say enough good things about this place.   I went for a pedicure my first time (a little over a year ago), and I won't go anywhere else.  Nene is a nail genius.  I have one toe that has no nail (it was permanently removed iver 20 years ago), but some of the nail matrix grows up a bit.  Every single time they file it down without pain or any abrasions.  My finger nails are really weak (chemo) but with Nene's gel mani, they are strong and pretty.But one thing that purs this place above the others is waxing.  I am a natural red-head with very sensitive skin.  I finally let Lily wax my eyebrows,  and there wasn't a burn,  rash or anything!  Now my brows are great, and no skin damage.If you want a weekday appointment,  call in advance because they are rwally busy dyring happy hour. I visited Diamond nails twice and was very unhappy with service, I dealt with Nini and was cut multiple times each time due to her rushing, half of my nails were crooked and when I asked her to fix them she had an attitude and was very rough. ON my 2nd visit I was hoping to get someone else but unfortunately got Nini again and was very unhappy once again due to the same errors from previous visit occurred, I asked how to make a complaint due to being very unhappy once again. Right off the bat, they're very friendly, and there was no wait. Score! Paint color selections are NOT abundant. Mark #1 for this non-pink, red, brown, purply nail addict. Solar powder color selection is actually terrible. There might be 15 colors to chose from. Marks #2-100 for the rest of me. Sigh.. I'm hoping I'm not getting an ingrown toenail created right now... god, I'm such a brat when it comes to my hands & feet, but WHY is it so hard to find a 5 star shop? Oh well. I'm here. I have visited several salons in Round Rock and Diamond Nails is my favorite. They are very friendly and I have always found the salon extremely clean. I get pedicures on T or W from 12-2pm when they have their "Happy Hour". It is $19. (25% off)I was there a couple days ago and 2 different children came in with their parent and were greeted and offered a snack and a juice! I've never seen that before.I would recommend this salon to anyone who asks. Read Less

first i go here beacause they are quick with what they do and awesome. yet two weeks ago i went in for a set and the young new girl did not take off all the nail polish after i pointed out. she said it would not be noticable after nails are on. ok. then it was noticable. she said she couldnt do anything. i asked for real short since i work with kids. they were too long. i asked to cut she said they have to grow out. thats ok. but on my ring finger on my left hand it was way too bumpy and not smoothly filed or sanded down. so i go in for my fill and the young guy was awesome. they look more beautiful than ever before!!!
