So, I just moved to Richmond from Katy area & I have a nail salon I will never leave. But found a Groupon so decided to check a new place out. Paid $24 (not bad at all) for a mani-pedi. Went in told the ladies I would like to add on acrylic claw nails which was quoted over the phone $35. When I went in & was done with everything my bill was $45 for the nails on top of what I already paid. I honestly don't mind ever paying but don't quote me a higher price once I walk in vs when I called you 5 minutes ago to ask. Not to mention the water for my pedicure was cold even after I asked her to make it hot. Not to mention I paid for a deluxe pedi & didn't get any of that! She didn't massage my legs just did a 1 minute stone & that was all! Then the manicure was even worse! She cut my finger after I kept saying it hurts, filed the skin on my finger & cut my cuticles so deep I'm actually in pain vs being relaxed It's a cute spot & all but certainly NEVER going back or recommending it to anyone. Absolutely the most unsanitary salon I've ever been to. I ended up getting a terrible toe infection after my pedicure. Well upon my entry and once it was discovered i purchased a Groupon, they were rude, disrespectful to my questions and did a horrible mani/pedi. The mani was so bad, i told her to stop mid way. The pedi, they only used sandpaper, to "exfoliate". My feet were rough after i left and she blamed me. Also, they don't use water to soak nails before the manicure. They only do dry manicures. Although the lady who did my mani pedi was very sweet, she completely messed up on my manicure. Not only are there lines on every one of my nails, the sides of some of my nails aren't even polished. I pointed this out to her on 2 of my nails when I realized, but she ruined a third in the process of fixing the 2. Also, my cuticles weren't cleaned fully and the corners of my nails weren't filed properly. I don't appreciate paying someone good money just to come home and have to redo them myself. Read Less

I purchased a package that included a 20-minute massage but only received 8 minutes. The technician lied and said she looked at the clock and it was 20 minutes. Even argued with me about it! She didn't even know how much massage time the package included initially! Potentially a.good place but it depends on the technician. This experience has changed my mind about going to spas. I highly recommend this salon. They do beautiful work on your nails. Pedicures are outstanding! The staff is very professional and very accommodating to your needs. They take their time and explain everything in detail.The atmosphere is beautiful and very relaxing. The staff is very knowledgeable in all services. There is a physician to help with all skin care. They only gave me a regular manicure and won't reimburse me the difference because Rudy says it's a groupon and he can't do that! The pedicure was the worst I've ever had. I had an appointment and the nail tech didn't come in on time to do my pedicure. It set everything behind and I ended up being late to my event. I made an appointment for a Mani Pedi yesterday late afternoon from a search on Groupon.  I had no reference from anyone but liked the Groupon Deal.  I had my grandson with me for my daughter to meet up with us to pick him up.  The staff was so welcoming and engaging to me as well as my other family members.  The atmosphere was very crisp and comforting, the staff was kind and professional.  They did not even pause when I ask to adjust my manicure to a step up and did a great service to me in helping with the color combination.  My nails look amazing and I left feeling pampered.Thank you Lee and Lily for a great experience. Shape of nails not done as requested for hands or feet. Tech thought oval shape would suit my hands better. After I declined, she stated she couldn't do square because my skin would show after she cut my nails short. Yuck! Left pinkie toenail almost gone. Toenails crooked and NOT square as requested. If I could I would give this place a 0. I bought the Groupon to try this place out as it is a bit pricier than other locations. I was thinking, if they're good, I'll come back since it will be worth my time and money. Wrong, as soon as they heard Groupon they immediately treated me differently. My mother and I had an appointment at 6pm, we came like 10 min early, they weren't busy (were finishing up a mom and her 2 daughters), but we weren't seen until almost 6:15pm. I purchased a Groupon for this place, and we will not be returning. We were supposed to get a deluxe pedicure, and they did not put the hot stones as promised (although the guy who was doing my mom's pedicure was going to, but the lady doing her manicure told him not to), and when I asked Rudy why they ⋯⋯didn't do it he said it was a complimentary service that they decided not to provide! The lady (Emily who was very nice and I highly recommend her) who did my manicure, accidentally gave me a shellac manicure, and rude Rudy had me pay the difference although it was not my fault! I never told her to do it, and I didn't know that she was doing something she wasn't supposed to. Although he only made me pay the difference of $7!, it's the principle that he shouldn't have made me pay for it because it wasn't my fault!!! If it weren't for me feeling sorry for Emily, I wouldn't have paid for it! My mother (an older Caucasian woman) also told me that he (Rudy) was very pushy with her trying to get her bank account information to join a membership and set us up for an appointment every 2 weeks! She also said that she could have done her nail polish better on her own, and told me that the guy who did her feet was brand new and she has diabetes (which we told them), so she needed someone with experience to be handling her feet! Although Emily was very nice, I will not be returning because of how Rudy treated us. I even told him that he should want to try to keep his customers and he just shrugged his shoulders and said well I'm only charging you the difference of the other Groupon price because really it's $15 more, not $7. I had Groupon for gel manicure and a pedicure. I still have some of the old Polish showing that she was supposed to remove. She didn't completely cover 1 nail and when I saw it she put a 3rd coat on all of them. Well the third coat caused bubbling on 2 of them. I wanted a regular Polish for my toes to match my fingers....since they were doing both at same time  I didn't see my toes until they were done. No where near matching. First time visit to Gossip was this Christmas Eve Eve. Had the pleasure of going to Michelle for hi-lights and a trim. The 5 stars are all about this lady. Love her personality and conversation. Her professionalism and hair knowledge is impressive. She talked me through why or why she wouldn't do certain things with my hair type and gave me tips and tricks along the way regarding which brushes to use for certain styles, what temperature to use with heat styling tools and how⋯⋯ to tame stubborn hair licks. She is amazing. I'll certainly be back to see her. I don't want to take any rating stars away from her because she deserves them all but I have to mention the salon itself and management- or lack there of. When I spend $300 on my hair, I expect to have my stylist's full attention. I did not. Not due to any fault of Michelle's- but because she was the only person there that was trained on how to answer phones, ring up gift cards and products and answer customer questions. If the phone rang, the person answering it would bring it to Michelle and hold it to her ear. If clients walked in with questions someone would call her over to answer them and she had to ring them up. There were several other employees looking to her for everything. There is no good reason that these people can't pull their weight and learn to use the register and answer customer questions. All of this pulling away took time out of my salon experience. Management was not present and neither was a much needed receptionist. I hope they know what a prized asset they have in Michelle. Was so excited to see a new spa open right around the corner from me. The decor is gorgeous!! Really makes you feel like you walked into a luxury salon without the over the top prices. So far I've had an express pedi and then a bikini wax with eyebrow wax. All have been done by Lynda, the manager. She is such a joy to work with!
