Last week was my first time coming, and I got nexgen and a pedicure. My nail tech was super sweet! The pedicure tech my toes look like a 5 year old did them. I really thought this was going to be my go to nail salon. One week later my nails look so horrible like if they were 2-3 weeks old. I came back today and the nail tech who did them originally was not there and they had another one do them, I told them my situation and at first they tell me come back tomorrow when the original lady who did them is back and then the lady who “fixed” them said she could do them. We were looking for the same shade for about 5 minutes until she gave us and all she did on my nails were smooth them out and redo the clear coat. She was such in a rush and when I left she left behind me and it was so obvious she was such in a rush because her ride was here. What a disappointing nail salon. Not worth the money or The service. I went to the salon on a Monday afternoon so it was pretty calm. My sisters and I were attended quickly. They handed us sample books and a complimentary beverage. As the tech was working, she jerked my hands around and even burned me a couple of times explaining that it was because my nails were sensitive. She painted the first nail and I quickly told her that I had requested a different color. She removed Color #1 and continued to paint my nails Color #2. I was precautious a...nd asked her if THIS was the correct color. The nail tech insisted the color would look different when she was done. When she finished, I was a little confused because my nails were still a different color from what I had requested. The tech left very quickly after she was done with my nails so I went up to the cashier/ manager and asked if they could change the color. She told me that nothing was wrong with my nails and that the color looked very nice. I proceeded to show her the sample books that had the correct color. She admitted the color was different and offered to do them another color but that in this case she made no guarantees that my nails would end up the correct color. I was appalled that they knowingly offer options with a promise to deliver the correct color and style. If she had explained to me prior to the service that chrome nails are difficult to achieve an accurate color, I would have understood but that is not the case with chrome nails at all. I would honestly take my hard earned money elsewhere. The manager was not offering viable solutions to the dilemma and continuously told me I should have just been appreciative of a “job well done”. The gold chrome gel nails (they recommended) turned out awful in terms of color accuracy, paint quality, and durability. Honestly, wasn’t great. Paid for an expensive pedi session and the polish chipped off or partial chip on 6/10 of my nails. Came back the next morning to have them fix it and a day later two toes chipped. My big toe nail was also cut and shaped very poorly.. like a triangle. Won’t return.. Read Less

The wait time is ridiculous. I came in at 5 and didn't leave till almost 7 just for an incomplete pedicure. Most of time was waiting at least 30 minutes for someone to get to me, I also asked the nail tech for a design that she could do but couldn't. The owner said I can come back, "no thanks" nobody has time to come back and forth for something that should have been done the first time. This place is also really expensive . Read Less

My friend and I decided to try out this place while sitting next door at magic cup and was looking at how nice this place looked on Yelp. Price range is very well worth for what you get here. For a $37 pedicure you get hot stones with your pedicure. Most places don't even add the hot stones when you're paying for a $45 pedicure. I had Lynn and she was a sweet girl making sure everything was ok before starting the next step. She massaged very well and wasn't in any rush. I was drinking boba next door @ magic cup and i saw that there was a nail salon close by. We walked in an no one really greeted us right away. They tons of polishes, lots of choices but not really organized. I loved the way they showcased their gels and dip samples though! We picked our color and they sat us down and gave us a menu to choose from. We both picked the organic pedicure doe $37! Amazing price and I did gel, which was an extra $15. (Not bad at all) Tina did my pedicure, green tea with gel polish, she did an amazing job! Judy did an amazing job! I asked for acrylic tips with white gel and she saved me money by doing white solar powder and it won't chip! I appreciate her honesty and it took longer than the other way too. She made sure they were smooth and was patient when I wasn't sure what length I wanted. I went to Luxe when they first opened and hadn't been back. Mainly because I had another shop that I frequented. Last Saturday, due to my own last minute scheduling, my normal shop wasn't able to do both a mani and pedi for me, only a mani. Luckily, Luxe had later hours and was closer to my house so I stopped in. I got the detox pedicure. The service was great and I even enjoyed a nice cocktail. Now here's the important part: it's been a week and my feet still feel soft! I'm ...diabetic and have really really dry feet. Normally, after a pedicure I can still see dry skin or peeling. I don't know what the young lady at Luxe did to my feet but they are STILL perfect. My heels aren't calloused and I didn't have to spend the last week doing the old "Vaseline and socks" trick. ***Updated 06/15/17*** Updating my review to now 3 stars because they seem to be way short staffed lately. The ladies I used to see are no longer there and if you don't have an appointment expect to wait at least 40 minutes in a chair waiting for someone to get to you. Haven't been able to find anyone else to do a good set on me yet. Last time I had them done 05/20 my nails were left so thin they literally broke within a couple of days. I've been coming here since November and I must say I will not be going anywhere else. Today 02/11/17 I have found the two best people to take care of me Kim for my beloved nexgen & my name twin Hellen for my must have pedicure. I saw all the good reviews and decide to check out this nail salon. Initially my first impression was good but when I was asked to take a seat at #2 seat at the manicure table, I saw how dirty it was. There was several old human nail clippings and residue from who knows what there. The nail technician came and didn't even clean it and begin to work on my nails. The tools look like they were sanitized but when she was removing my old gel polish, she used her own finger nail...gross! She did however do a good job with polishing and putting on my nail polish, not the best but I still couldn't get over the dirty table. I guess if you can overlook sanitation standards, they do good work but I'm picky about my health. All and all, I wouldn't go back. Read Less

Even though Lux Nails is a good 15 minute drive from where I live I am happy to go out of my way to come here.  I previously went to a closer salon just up the road from me, and although my experience was very good and I had been there many times before, I feel like Lux gives you more bang for your buck.  For example - the full set of solar nails at the previous salon was $70.  At Lux it's more like $40.  Huge cost savings.During my visit to Lux I had the old solar nails removed (because those bastards are too much maintenance and too thick anyway) and did Nexgen for the first time.  I honestly don't think my nails have ever looked better.  I had Judy and she was amazing.  She was very detailed and I could tell she was scrtunizing her own work and making sure that my nails were perfect.  She accidentally nicked my cuticle on one finger and profusely apologized for it.  Nicks happen when you get your nails done so I wasn't upset.  Plus it was barely a scratch.  I appreciated that she was so concerned because other places don't usually make an issue of it.The salon itself is nice and not overly gaudy like some other salons tend to be.  It's also not massive which means that it's a bit quieter than some larger salons.  The last place I went to is large and it was packed when I went so just listening to the din of women folk chatting away was not super relaxing.  They do have tvs but they are on subtitle mode and I was super happy to see they had it on Food Network (I like cooking shows).  I really like this place a lot and will be going to see Judy from now on. I have found my "go to" nail spot! I waited 3 weeks to post this review because I wanted to see how my nails were going to hold up, even though I loved them walking out the door.I got a pedicure and Nexgen (powder) nails. 3 weeks after, my nail polish is still well intact on my toes, and my Nexgen nails have not chipped/broken at ALL and are completely SOLID! (And I'm really tough on my hands/nails) They had a posted guarantee as I walked out the door that the guaranteed 9 days with Nexgen nails without any issues, but this lasted even more than I could have hoped. One of the BEST pedicures I have ever had. The entire experience was amazing. First off, the shop is in a great location. The inside is beautiful and very clean! There is even a bar with specialty cocktails for free - the pink cosmo was so yummy! I had the organic milk & honey pedicure done by Emmy, and it was so nice and relaxing. She really took her time and focused on making sure my entire experience was enjoyable. I am also very happy with how my polish turned out! So I took a chance to go to another place besides my regular since I had a couple. Should've went to my regular spot. The ladies seemed nice enough. My finger nails look good but my fingers look messy. There is dipping Polish on my fingers and the other side of my hand. I've never had my hands look this messy. The pedicure was ok. My feet are rough so it's a challenge. She could've went harder. My only complaint with the feet is that I said yes to cutting my nails. My big toe is not cut down and it's uneven, not shaped. I was not offered a drink at all. I had to ask and people who were there before and came in after me were offered a drink. Seemed a inconvenience for me to ask them. Went and checked out Lux today, so happy I did! I went in for a pedi and chose the Organic Pedi with White Tea Orchid. Vi was so sweet and attentive, she did a fab job! The vibe is so relaxing- I loved the simple yet elegant decor! They just opened a week ago and I went mid afternoon, so I was the only one there, but I definitely see this place getting busier as word gets out!
