I could not be more pleased. I entered the salon warily, as a tourist searching for cornrows. My initial doubts were eased instantly as Virginia began braiding. Quick, comfortable, a good price . . . and she curved the braids so that they fit my head beautifully. All my friends were awe-struck for the full four weeks they lasted. They gradually puffed out over that time span; my only complaint would be that I got a lot of, "ooh, can I touch your hair?" :) Removing them was painless and fast. I spent an absolutely amazing few hours at this place, getting pampered on my very special birthday... I got my hair cut and I loved how it turned out. Followed by a wonderful relaxing one hour, deep tissue massage... It really helped my sciatic nerve feel a little more relaxed and less painful... That was followed by a wonderful manicure. Best massages in the area by far, and a great value! Skip the island prices, Virginia's is right over the bridge in Port Isabel. Staff is friendly and they actually listen to exactly what you need. The massage is very relaxing, you'll feel so refreshed. It's easy to book an appointment, or I've walked in and gotten immediate service multiple times. I opted for the deep tissue massage, medium pressure is always too light for my back and shoulders, and oh momma! I was not disappointed, Cecilia delivered! She used every ounce of leverage (at least it felt that way) in her little body to work out the tightness in my neck, shoulders and back. It was the most relaxing pain I have ever endured, just as a good deep tissue massage should be. When she got to my calves I had to ask her to ease up on the pressure just a tad because it was a little more than I could handle, and she said "no problem". The rest of the massage was just the right pressure and I loved all 60 minutes of it. Making the appointment was super easy and the person that I spoke with was very friendly, offered any information I needed with ease, and had all kinds of confidence in her staff. This will be on my list of "must go to"  places if I ever make it back to south padre/port Isabel. Friendly and professional staff, incredibly reasonable prices, and fantastic quality of service.
