I would visit this nail salon when I worked in the area on my lunch breaks. To be honest, I really enjoyed the quality of their work and my pedicures were awesome. However, I had far too many discrepancies with communicating services that I wanted vs what I was charged. I asked for the same thing every visit, every to weeks for 4 months (dipped nails & signature pedi). One day, someone who normally did not do my nails charged me $15 more for a pedi I did not have done, she confused me with another customer. When I was checking out, I noticed the difference, and the female owners says you should have told me that when I asked you, I am sorry I did not know that me telling you to begin with what I wanted would be an issue, noted, I'll repeat myself a few times going forward. She reversed the charged but her tone and attitude were off putting, yet I persisted because I loved their work and they were close to my job. My last straw, was when I was getting dipped nails and a nail tech assumed because my natural nails were fairly long that I was wearing tips, she did not ask me, but charged me $10 more. She also was not my regular tech. I thought the price was abnormal and later in the day after thinking about it I checked their service menu online and realized I had been over charged. I called the salon and the same owner says yes she thought you had tips, I said I come there every other week at this point you all know that I do not wear tips. Once again, she reversed the charges but it is simply annoying to have to do this every time versus taking ownership for communication problems from their staff. Also knowing that I do not wear tips, why charge me for it without asking first? It is sad because the salon itself is great and very clean but I can't deal with these types or nuances and the passive aggressiveness once you realize you are paying for things you didn't get. Dint like the service at all. Mani/Pedi both were plain simple bad. During manicure the lady dint remove the dead skin around the nails which I had to take care of myself after paying 70 bucks for the service. Same story for the pedicure. Only reason I gave this place 2 stars is because I really like the color the girl who did my nails recommended. Other than that I was very disappointed. First I had to wait for over 30 minutes. When I told them I need to get pedicure the owner told her assistant to only on paint because they were done by one technician. I wasn’t asking for free so it’s not my problem that they are down technician. When the assistant looked at my toe nails she stated “it looks good”. When I did my toes over 2 weeks ago at home. I told her I’m going out of country and all I want is pedicure but you cannot do that then just change the color so I don’t have blue on my hand and nude on my toes. I have been going to this place for over an year now and the lady who I believe owns this salon pretends like she has never seen me coming to this place before. Ohh and on top of that they cut me on multiple fingers and the lady kept on asking me about sweaty hand and if I take any medicine for this. This was truly health related question that she should not be asking. I felt offended and uncomfortable because of my health condition. They don’t apply the nails far enough back so I’m on my second day with these one ans they look already fully grown out as if I’ve had them on for a month. I'm super picky when it comes to my nails. I prefer my nails short as possible and thin natural looking. I've tried many nail places all around town and decided to give Verona a try since I was in the area.Upon arrival, the owner and receptionist was very welcoming and friendly. I decided to give the dip powder nexgen a chance again since I've had it done elsewhere and it always end up looking so thick and uneven. My nail tech Amy was very meticulous! She took her time shaping and making sure the powder look was thin and nicely set onto my nail beds. She even took the extra time to trim my hangnails from a previous bad manicure job I had done elsewhere.Overall my experience was great! I definitely recommend booking with Amy! Yes! Yes! Yes!!! I'm soooo happy that this place was recommended to me. It was a win win! As a newbie to the area, I've found it hard to find the perfect nail salon. Well this is officially home! The salon itself is very relaxing and the staff was very welcoming. I felt like a queen getting pampered the entire time during my mani and pedi which by the way they do at the same time... Emily was amazing. It was my first time there so it's always a little scary going to someplace new. I was looking for a gel nail color for my trip to Vegas and was looking to stray away from my usual pink. She worked with me to pick out colors. I ended up getting white with an accent gold nail. She took so much time to make sure there were perfect. I even had to tell her to stop being such a perfectionist! I also got a basic pedi. I don't remember the mans name but he was amazing as well and I have beautiful hot pink toenails (yes i had to throw pink in there somewhere. Definitely recommend. And ask for Emily for shellac! It's so tough to find clean, friendly, calming, high-quality nail salons. In fact, I've been on a quest for years to find one. This is it. The ambiance is beautiful, and the space is very large--no squishing customers in like sardines. It's very clean and one of the only nail salons I've been to where the technicians don't talk to each other during your service, which is always distracting and a bit uncomfortable for the client. Scott and Emily both did amazing work with my manicures-- two of the neatest, quickest, friendliest, most efficient services I've gotten and the results were beautiful. I've never been one for planning or making appointments for my nails. So when my sister and I decided to get our nails done but had a small time constraint, Verona was our number second attempt however by the end of our experience it was clear it will be at the top of our list! We attempted to go to another nail salon but the wait was going to be about 30 minutes, which we couldn't afford. I looked up reviews for places in the are and found Verona. I called to check to see their wait and I was assured there was no wait. The second we walked in we were directed to the various nail colors to choice. There were color changing, metallic and ombré nexgen choices! Once we selected our colors we were escorted to our chairs to look at a menu to pick our pedicures. We got a regular nexgen manicure that included soak off and a deluxe pedicure. Let me just say that the deluxe pedicure was everything I wanted and more! We got lucky because they did our feet and hands at the same time. The whole process took less than an hour.For the next 48 hours my sister and I couldn't stop staring at our nails, and even now we still steal a glance. They did such a fantastic job! Been going here for almost two years now and it is, hands down, my favorite nail salon in DFW. Besides the impeccable staff across the board (everyone is good - no need to request anyone specific!), and the beautiful layout of the salon, one of my favorite parts is the owners. They are the sweetest couple and really do anything they can to make your experience perfect. I won't go anywhere else for my Nexgen now that I've found Verona. Four of us got pedicures - 3 Deluxe and 1 kid. We had a 10:30 appointment and even with the pedicures, an extra nail paint for the kiddo and a chrome gel for finger nails, we were still done by 12p. They were extremely sweet and patient with my mom, who can't clip her own nails. She was lots of extra work and they were so patient with her. No doubt they are good at what they do! But I find them being partial with their customers. They provide royal treatment to their regular customers and fail to understand that they can make more customers regular if they are impartial. I came in with my cousins 12 yr and 20 yr old. My 12 yr old cousin's nails were done by Tom and she was done first. My 12 yr old cousin got up to look at my 20 yr old cousin's nails and touched them. CINDY proceeded to slap 12 yr olds hand and yell don't touch! Her demeanor quickly changed and she was pissed. My 12 yr old cousin proceeded to tell her she didn't know and she yelled back at her saying - you knew! Tom was talking to her in Vietnamese and she even yelled at him and slapped his shoulder. I didn't want to cause a scene so I didn't say anything until I left to the guy checking us out. 1) you don't hit clients2) you don't hit someone else's child who is a MINOR The salon itself is beautiful and everyone else there seems to be nice and do a good job. This is CINDY's work less than 24 hrs after our appt. They look like they've been on her hands for about a week now with growth. Word of advice to CINDY and management is that is she got lucky i didn't call the cops on her for hitting a minor. I am only giving this 3 stars instead of 1 star because I've seen Molly here for my next gen manicure 4 times and loved my nails. She's the only thing saving this review from being 1 star. My review of next gen with Molly: highly recommend her, I would give HER 5 stars! When she put on my next gen, she took her time, and made it perfect for me! Highly recommend her. Now, for the review of my experience tonight!!Reviewing a next gen take off and manicure (if you could even call it that) which cost me 21$. I called on Monday to make an appointment for me and a friend and asked if my next gen could be removed manually instead of with the machine, "sure! We will wrap them, no problem" was what the gentleman told me. We came in tonight and Molly did my friends Next Gen and Kim went to take mine off... I told her I'd like her to do it manually please. She basically told me no and that I shouldn't be worried because she would use the machine only on the powder. First strike, I'm a paying customer and you're there to do a service. Do what I ask please, I know what I want. Politely I gave in and let her do her thing. She soaked and buzzed off the gel and that was fine, she didn't hit my nails. Then she wanted to do the buffer tip on the machine to do around my all of my cuticles. I told her no thank you, that I wanted a manicure, and that I'd like her to use the regular clippers. That's when she threw a hissy fit and acted rude and unprofessional towards me saying something under her breath to Molly. Just look at the photo I posted of my "manicure". She soaked my hands, only clipped 3-4 of my cuticles (even though every nail needed a good pushed back and trim), rubbed oil on my hands for 3 seconds, shaped them with a super corse file, and started to slap on polish. She basically painted all nails in 2-3 minutes and slopped on a top coat without letting any of the coats have a minute to dry. She did tell me that she needed to use the machine to make my nails extra smooth and I declined knowing that would make my nails even more brittle and that I was ok with seeing little ridges from the previous nextgen applications. I knew my nails weren't going to look great, but they need a rest and are way too brittle right now. When you look at my photo, ignore the little ridges... instead look at my horrible cuticles which weren't trimmed, the dead skin left around my nails, the edges of my nails that have no polish, and at the brush streaks in the polish on nearly every nail.Kim stormed off without asking me if my nails were ok or if I like them and didn't return to check at all. I waiting for my friend and had to ask Molly to smooth my nails because Kim left them all jagged with her corse file. They are basically paper thin... what made her think an extra corse file was what needed to be done?To top it off... I didn't even get a hot towel! Which is clearly written in their description. Summary: STAY AWAY FROM KIM. She's horrible at her job and her customer service. I will never let her touch my nails again. Go to Molly for all of your nail needs, she's a gem and will take good care of you. Kim, you need to be nicer and lose the attitude! And maybe spend more than 5 minutes on a "manicure" for your customer. Read Less

So once in awhile I like to give myself a little relaxing treatment and the ladies here always rise to the occasion, and you leave here in a much better state of mind then you came in! The owner is very sweet and very customer service oriented and I want to thank her because I had a friend that needed an hour to herself and they made her feel like a royal Queen, and when she came out of that business she was a much different person not to mention that they did an outstanding ...job on her nails both hand and feet and they did service her hand and foot to make her feel so relaxed! I really would like to recommend the deluxe pedicure it makes such a difference for your day assure you! Okay ladies, if you haven't tried a Nexgen manicure yet, you should. I am ADDICTED! I had heard about this awesome new product and had my first Nexgen manicure at a different nail salon and was SO disappointed. In only two weeks, half my nails had chipped off. I figured I would give it one more try somewhere else and stumbled upon Verona on Yelp. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! I come in every 2 to 3 weeks for a mani and since coming here, my nails never crack or chip off. When I come in for a mani, it's only because my nails grow so dang fast. If the outgrowth didn't bother me so much, I'm confident I could go 3 to 4 weeks with no chips!The products are pretty much the same across nail salons-- it's the people, service, and technique that make the difference. Vanessa, who is mentioned in SO many Yelp reviews, is the owner and she knows how to run her business. She's easy to talk to, super personable, and remembers all of her customers' names. My friend and I always come in together for our manis and we felt like regulars by our second visit. My friend sees Vanessa and I see Vivian; they are both amazing. They're super detailed and both do a great job of consistently checking in with us to make sure we like our nail lengths/shape/color/etc. Verona has turned me from a "i-sometimes-do-my-own-nails-at-home" to a "my-nails-are-always-done-and-fabulous" type of girl.
