I found this nail shop in Plano online because I just moved to the area and decided to go and check it out in person. They were very attentive and helpful with helping me and my step daughter. It’s very diverse and relaxing 😌 in there I had along day at work and decided to go get pampered. If you want a nail salon 💅 that will make you feel at home , relaxed and refreshed when you leave, then this is the place for you. I really wanted to like this place. Came here after positive reviews from a friend of a friend. The salon was busy, and my friend and I waited about 15 minutes in our chairs to start two sets of NexGen. I clarified when we started that I wanted my cuticles cleaned before applying the powder. I was not told this was extra, and probably would not have gone here if I had not known that the $45 NexGen service didn't come with a full manicure (cuticles, lotion, hot towels), as it should. I was charged an additional $5 for the cuticle clean at the end. A group of rowdy teenagers came in about 1/2 way through our service and proceeded to walk barefoot through the salon, cursing loudly and freely grabbing items from the mini fridge next to my chair. When we were finally ready to leave, my friend noticed that some of her nails had oxidized after drying, and were partially lighter than the other. The tech claimed it was a "marble" color, but that's not what it looked like on the nail. As we were checking out, an elderly woman that worked there shoved past me without so much as an "excuse me." It wasn't until we were clearly disgruntled as we left that the tech that did my friend's nails then offered to re-do her set. The final straw was the woman running the checkout trying to run my card, which doesn't have a chip, through the chip machine three times before she finally heard me say "it doesn't have a chip." On a neighbor's recommendation, I drove fromRichardson and tried Escape Nails Spa.  I am VERY pleased. The owner and nail techs checked with me multiple times to make sure I was pleased and said they would make sure it was right if I didn't like anything (I loved everything about my NexGen mani and deluxe pedi, so that wasn't necessary). The techs were detailed with their work and friendly. My nail gal also offered to turn the page of the book I was reading and told me it was nice to see someone reading a book. Lovely experience! I just moved to the area and wasn’t sure where to go to get my nails done. This place had great reviews, so I decided to try it. They were wonderful! They adjusted to accommodate my needs. Everything was done in a timely manner. I got my nails and pedicure done at the same time, and everyone was very friendly! I had the Nexgen and deluxe pedi with gel. These ladies (I forgot to get their names!) did a fantastic job! So meticulous and everything looks perfect. I followed Kim to this salon because she is WONderful. Every time I enter I am greeted with smiles, seated right away, and offered something to drink. Linda, the owner, did my soak-off the first time or two while Kim finished with another customer; Linda is very pleasant and obviously cares about every customer.  There are a couple of things that bug me: The manicure stations are so close together that I can't move my chair even an inch without bumping the customer next to me. The employees speak to each other in Viet Namese quite often, which irritates me a lot, but Kim knows I consider that rude so she doesn't participate.I've already recommended this salon to others, and I have some of their business cards so I can give them to others.  I will be coming back as long as Kim is there. If I could give zero stars I would. I took a picture that was posted on THEIR own Yelp and had them replicate it and it looks nothing like the picture. I'm sick of going to nail salons and having them say they can do something just to take my money but when it comes down to it your nails look like trash. I love this place! My nexgen nails last 3-4 weeks compared to some other places (I love Tommy for these) and they have great pedicures. They always have coupons online and the owner, Linda, always makes sure you are satisfied and genuinely seems to care that you are there. Read Less

0 stars if I could. My mom called early in the day to make an appointment at 4:15 for us and my brother to get mani pedis. We were on a time constraint so we couldn't come later, despite that, they told us to come at 4:30 but that they may be able to get us in at 4:15. We showed up at 4:20 and waited a bit. Then once we got our colors we sat down and they kindly offered us beverages. About 5 min later we got our drinks and then proceeded to wait 20 more minutes while they served other people. Admittedly, they were pretty busy with customers, so normally I'd understand having to wait that long, except that another girl walked in 5 min after us with no reservation and they began working on her almost immediately. Why did we make a reservation, come at the time they told us to come, and still get nothing done? It was ridiculous to sit and wait for 25 min while people behind us got service and we made a reservation!! We walked out at 4:50 when the lady came over to us asking if we picked colors or wanted drinks when we'd been ALREADY SITTING in the chairs for 20 min, with beverages in hand! They were very disorganized, disorderly, and ended up completely wasting our time. Maybe they work better when they're slow;  will never go back & never recommend. Read Less

Found my new nail spot! I was a walk-in on a Wednesday, and they were busy but I didn't have to wait. Sat me immediately and asked if I wanted a drink. Lee did my Nexgen - she is so sweet! Her attention to detail is fabulous. She didn't seem rushed one bit and took my nails from "oh my god work is stressful" to "ooohhh pretty." I walked in here on a whim to remove my gel nails. It's a small nail spa that is lined with pedicure chairs. I was told it would cost $10 to remove the gel nails or I could pay more for a manicure and pay $5 extra to remove them. I chose the deluxe manicure package which included buffing, massage and scrub. The young lady who was helping me was nice enough. She tried to make idle chit chat while my nails were soaking. It was a no nonsense experience. I didn't get my nails polished. She cleaned up the cuticles well and took care of the hang nails. She left my nails kinda lop sided but I don't care. I was looking to have the gel nails removed and cuticles cleaned up. If I didn't live so far away I might come back. I'd recommend. I paid $30 including tip for the manicure. Read Less

As with all nail salons, it greatly depends on who you get.  I know that both Ty and Tiffany are capable of doing a great job, and I'm sure there are more but I haven't had the pleasure of getting to know everyone yet.  I selected this salon based on Yelpers photos since they seemed to offer a lot of great colors and fun options.  My experience was similar and I found they had a few more nextgen colors available than I typically see.  In particular they offer 2 nextgen colors with LARGE glitter powder which make for incredible results.  I wish they'd offer more, because these colors are spectacular.   My technician did note how difficult to work with they are, and that was true...but the end result was amazing.  I've been getting compliments all week about the effect.  (Currently they have a dark blue and a yellow available with the large glitter effect)Everything else was pretty standard for a nail salon.  They offer a free beverage, have TVs, have massage chairs, equipment was clean and staff were friendly.    The price for nextgen was lower than the other salon that I usually go to, so for that reason, I will probably be back. Oh My Goodness... I've gone to nail salons almost all my life... you go in for the ordinary Mani Pedi... occasionally get your eyebrows waxed or just a polish change. Escape Nails has not only met my expectations, but has gone above and beyond to exceed them! Walking in you are greeted with nothing but smiles, and warm welcomes. I came in for just a manicure but when looking over to the Pedicure chairs I see every guest is enjoying a team of two pampering them from head to toe! Micheal and Lee (my amazing duo) were so amazing to help me choose the perfect spa package I wanted! They offer a great variety of spa manicure and pedicure options. (Not to mention the complimentary wine ) Today was my one day off to enjoy my self and I chose to go all in! Everything from Milk and Honey lotions to Hot Stone Massages.... and to top it all off.... I came here for the first time with one of my friends over the weekend and I am SO so happy with my experience. I had a gel manicure and regular pedicure (which I get about once every 5-6 weeks) and my friend had the regular pedicure and nexgen manicure with tips (she had not been to a nail salon in about 10 years) and they did a great job at adapting to each of our requests. The shape of my nails are perfect with an even, smooth application and everyone was considerate and kept checking to make sure we liked the colors chosen, nail shape, water temperature, etc. The owner is also very sweet and cares about the customer! Prices are average for this area (West Plano) and I can honestly say this will probably be my go to nail place when I am in the area! Read Less
