Was not even greated... some ladies that worked there were sitting in the sofa that is at the entrance. I was completely ignored, so a minute later a girl from the back came to help me. She was rude but asked me what I wanted. I told her Shellac and so that was done. At the end she charged me with her phone using a square and charged me $24. The first couple of times I went I really liked it, however the last time I was there the pedicure they gave me damaged my toe nails to the point where I thought I had fungus which I've never had in my entire life. Luckily my mail is growing out normally and I'm almost fully rid of the "gross" part of my nails. Definitely will never return! Read Less

My husband bought me a gift certificate for a manicure and a pedicure and I put it away to save for a special occasion. I pulled it out today and noticed that it had an expiration date of May 2017 (I honestly just didn't notice it as most gift certificates and cards from stores do not expire). I went in to see if they would still honor it and was told NO. Tammy kept insisting that she kept telling me that I had to use it (I work near by), however, she has no idea who my husba...nd is, so she would not know that he bought a gift certificate for me (she was just asking me to come in - frumming up business). I have been a customer for since before 2010, whenever I have needed pedicures, manicures and eyebrow waxing and have always tipped generously (my favorite girl left quite awhile ago). Because of a more recent job change, I go less frequently. I have referred many people and most recently dropped off some out of town guests. She took our money and now tough luck for me. By the way, there was not one single customer in their salon when I stopped in, so squeezing me in was not an issue. Not how most stores treat their customers. I will now be a loyal customer of Gem nails in Winton Place (I had a bridal party session there over the summer), where the customer's money and referrals mean something and quality was excellent. Used to love this place until they changed it up several months ago. There used to be a service desk and a wall of nail polish as soon as you entered. Service desk is now gone and every nail technician has their own polished which limits choices BIG TIME. Had a little trouble even before the change with one of the nail techs. Made an appointment to get an overlay and was assigned a nail tech who was very rough and getting my nails done with her hurt very bad! Went here with a bridal party and felt very rushed, my manicure only lasted 15 minutes and the technician only filed and painted my nails they didn't trim cuticles like I've had many times before at another salon, also my nails were way to thick with the gel polish the morning after one had fallen off I had my nails redone the morning after and was treated much better at that salon. My pedicure was terrible my toes look like a toddler painted them total rip off to go here will never go back! Read Less

Way over priced !! Basically they did nothing but put polish on my toes this is NOT what I call a pedicure! The total pedicure should take at least 45-an hr. I was in the chair for maybe 10 minutes. Great service, great pedicures. Wonderful gel nails. Everyone who has ever done my gel manicure has done a great job and I have OCD with my hands because I have to look at them and if they are not "right" by my standards, it is hard for me. I've tried other nail salons, but I love Lacquered Up! They always do a great job on my hands and feet, I usually get the shellac mani and signature pedi and they'll do it exactly how you want it. They also have tons of colors to choose from. The atmosphere is really great too! The staff is always friendly and never pushing to sell you more services. It's also really cute inside with giant cushy chairs and a movie always playing. There's even alcohol if you really want to unwind. Read Less

It's gorgeous themed little place. I wish the acrylic overlay I had would have been as gorgeous. I had a French tip painted with gel, which looked as if it was done at home. It looked nice while I was INSIDE, due to the dim lighting. I missed out on the relaxing experience, since I had a tv screen with a movie about a murder playing right in front of me. On the third day I had some lift on my thumb which a second technician was gracious enough to honor their 3 day policy. Even though she denied it was not lifting but just growth line". I had to go get it fixed at P Nails & Spa in S Jackson Rd, Pharr. Which was undoubtably beautiful. 1 Star for the decor minus 1/2 star for failing by playing movie with gore. 1 Star for honoring their policy minus 1/2 star for not accepting their bad job. = 1 star rating.
