Had mine and my daughters nails and toes done Monday, by Tuesday both of our nails were chipping. By Wednesday there was more mail polish missing from our nails than what was left on them. Maybe they use cheap polish or water down...not sure. (My daughter and I used different polish) and the ladies were pretty pushy to upgrade my services. I usually come to this location every now and again but today was out of the norm. The staff was pushy and constantly suggesting add-ons I didn’t want and when I denied any further add-ons or made changes I was insulted. The front desk woman claimed I just wanted to reduce the price offered (not the case). She even kept tabs on the price I was being offered and constantly reiterated the number to make sure I was ok with it. I would give zero stars if Possible. The nail tech cut my toe and now it’s severely infected. I can barely walk. My big toe is inflamed, bright red and black. I use to love coming. They do a great job. However, no matter how in advance you book an apt, they always take in walks ins. I had an apt in advance...the day came I came in (1 hr away... dedicated customer obviously) and I waited over 35 mins past my apt. Money is obviously more important to them. PL Nails and Spa is a nice place to have your mani/pedi. The reason I gave it three stars is because you have to pay your tip in cash! If you don't have cash they ask you to go to the grocery store next door to get cash! Also, don't know why this happened to me. Went today and paid for a pedicure and shellac mani. I had 2 broken nails so the tec suggested doing a fake nail to lengthen so that they would match. I agreed. She left the fake nails super wide... I asked her to fix them. She gave me attitude. Filed once and said ok. NOT OK. She was a joke not only do they not match my natural nails they are thick as hell. My toes looked as if they where painted by a 2 year old on crack. When I paid at the register the owner heard me tell my cousin that I hated them she rushed over to ask if they could fix them I said no. My first and only pedicure was nothing special. Very little exfoliation and she left sharp corners on my toe nails. I paid $35 for the pedi and $15 for gel polish.  This didn't include any massage.  It was a basic pedi I could get for $24 most anywhere. I've been on the hunt for a good nail place in Pearland since my favorite sold their shop and left. So far no luck. I came here for a pedi and it was decent. It looks very nice and clean but I looked over to my right and watched a woman repeatedly put the same stick into the wax pot while doing a brow wax. As a professional waxer this is highly unsanitary and they could be fined for that. I know it happens a lot at these nail shops but it's still disgusting to see. Won't be returning. Read Less

I have gone here 3 times. First experience with Mia was good.   Went from powder to the dipping powder.  She explained the process. Since then, I have had 2 different nail techs and they do not follow the process explained to me. All they want to do is cut my nails down and start over. I had my natural nails in the past. They want to put tips and charge $50 a visit. Today, my natural nails were grown out enough to not need tips. The lady filed my nails down and then asked about tips. I told her from the get go I wanted my nails. She did a terrible job. I will be looking for somewhere else to get this fixed. Nails are uneven and not smooth. I do not recommended going here. Not impressed. I've visited this location 3 times. 2 times for mani & pedi, once for just mani. Each time I leave thinking I got a poor value and lackluster customer service. Most nail techs are not very personable. 2 of my 3 experiences, I've ended up with cuts on my fingers (Nancy and Helen were my techs). On my most recent visit, my pinky was cut wide open without even an apology. She even continued with the rough service. I always have to point out mistakes (uneven shellac work, thin polish, uneven polish). I never once received a hand massage with my manicure, even after pointing this out each time. My only good nail experience came with dipping powder. The pedicures are nice. Polish work lasts a long time. However the massage and comnunication could be better. I've had much more relaxing experiences at other salons.For me, I gave this salon many tries and it has come up short of the praises I've heard. If anything, get nothing more than a pedicure here. Save your money otherwise. I've spent too much to be this unsatisfied. There are better options on this side of Pearland. Read Less

Worst experience ever. I had gotten a shellac nail Polish done on Saturday March 11 as I was flying out on vacation Monday 13th from Toronto in the AM. Well Sunday (day after I got my shellac) it started peeling and chipping. I then went on the Web page and emailed them and told them. I also called them Monday morning on way to the airport to tell them . The lady I spoke to said she had to speak to the owner. I told her I would see them when I got back in two weeks from my vacation. I went in when I got back and asked to speak to the owner and he said he couldn't do anything as it was past one week. I was in search of a new nail salon since I moved to Pearland and found this one based on a recommendation. Yesterday was my second visit. My first one was pretty good. Only got an eyebrow wax and was pleased. This time I got a full set and eyebrow wax. My eyebrow wax was ok but my full set was a disaster. I asked for a french ombre. Nancy said ok. I had a picture I showed her with pink and white, she never said she didn't know how to do it. After I washed my hands I took a look at the finished product and it was horrible. I told her I didn't like it. The lady next to her suggested she try a nude instead of a pink to try and fix it. It helped a little on one nail but the rest were still not looking good. This place was suggested by an acquaintance, so a friend and I went. I wish I had just taken her to a place that I knew, because this was my first ever horrible experience at a nail salon. The lady doing my pedi cut into my big toe bad when removing my cuticles. Now it's looking infected, and I'm really questioning how sanitized their tools were. The lady doing my mani left chunks on either side with no polish. When I showed it to her, she just acted like she didn't know what I was talking about. Great place to go to and get a pedicure. The staff are very friendly. Usually when I get the basic pedicure at other salons they get upset and do not care about you. This nail salon cares about you. Been with this nail salon for a while now ! They honestly do great nail artwork and the nails look really naturally. They have great customer service and an amazing amount of variety in colors. I thought since I live so close to the nail salon I would give it a try. There is only one technician who knows how to wax eyebrows properly. I haven't had a good nail tech that did a good job on my nails. The front desk person is very friendly and accommodating along with the nail techs but they rush you, and don't take their time. They have messed up on my nails too many times to count. Definitely never going back. The worst experience ever.. Came in with my sister and niece because they have he fun kid chairs.  I wanted to soak my feet in warm water while they did my manicure.  They had a problem with that, so I said let just do the mani, and two seconds into filing my nail I got a cut!!!  I didn't get anything done at that point... It was not going good!Next they asked my niece how old she was and did a quick 15 minute basic coloring of her toes and once finished were told it was $30!!! -Don't waste your money. Friend and I came here. Friend's nail tech didn't understand or agree that she didn't want fake nails and insisted until my friend finally let her do them. They also cut her. They didn't give her the lotion and wax treatment that they charged her for in her $45 total bill. -The nail tech I had was extremely rude from the very moment I sat down. She actually made a few rude comments to me.-My friend's mother got a pedicure and was reading a magazine. When she looked down, they had put acrylic nails on her toes... ON HER TOES!!!! The manicurists are really nice and are always trying to accommodate you! They do a great job. I'm always happy when I leave. The prices are fair and you get deals if you get more than one thing done! It's a cozy place and they have lot of regular customers. I've been looking for a good nail salon since I moved to Pearland over 2 years ago. I've been to a couple in the area (after searching on Yelp) but have been highly disappointed. I came across this place because my neighbor told me she goes here. I decided to give it a try and loved it! I got a basic pedicure ($25) which included a lot more services than any other place offered for a basic pedicure. The first time I went I had Kim but she no longer works there. The second time I went I had Tracy do my pedicure. (That name should be easy to remember!) She did an excellent job. This is the first place in Pearland where the technicians did NOT cut my toes/skin and were gentle with my feet, as I requested. I will continue to go back. I'll have to try a manicure later. I stumbled in here two weeks ago one rainy Saturday night @ 6 p.m.  Normally went to a place on 249 in NW Houston/Tomball but that is a drive I don't make anymore because I was laid off - amazing place but too far from home.  Didn't know what to expect when I walked in.  20 minutes from home and a beautiful décor.  Everyone was feverishly working but I got Lucy (best wishes on the pregnancy) for a Shellac manicure and Jenny for an awesome basic pedicure.  These ladies almost made me cry!!!  Everything felt so wonderful as I didn't realize how tense I had become. Hot wax and a lotion massage made me go limp.  :)Recently unemployed, I put these treats to the side but figured I deserved at least one small pleasure.  Boy was it ever worth it!!  I'll save up for at least 1 of these every month until I get a new job.  Their prices were the same as what I paid at the 249 nail spa so I was very pleased.  Plus, P L Nails has more services and weekly specials.I went yesterday and had Tracy for the manicure and another tiny lady (no name on her apron) for the pedicure.  Again, great job at 11 a.m.  No waiting and the environment was so peaceful and quiet at that time of the morning.  They use a timer to ensure each service is completed in a predetermined amount of time.  No sitting for an hour waiting for a technician.  LOVE IT!!!Looking forward to a new job where I can give myself the full service with a complimentary glass of wine.Happy New Year! I've been going here and Richmond for 5 or more years. Yes, there was a little bit of hiccups while they expanded to open a second location (but that is to be expected and can be forgiven). I have never felt a lack in service and love that they call me by name. I get compliments on my nails all the time and that they look so natural (I often don't correct that they're gel!!). After going to my nail technician for over five years, I became tired of her rushing me, charging me over 100.00 for a simple manicure and refill. I decided to try this place and I was amazed. I decided to come here after calling and comparing other salon prices on a full set; I found the cheapest one here which the lady told me 30$ through the phone. I rushed, since they closed at 730, I arrived at 615; which in my opinion is a good time, not too late, anyways upon my arrival I was immediately greeted and seated (seemed like a slow day) Now, the lady is asking me how short do I want my nails, I tell her I don't want them too short, I tell her a bit longer, (now I can assure you I wasn't asking her for 4 inch nails) after I said long, the lady yells and says "no that's too long!" I was confused and upset, I'm sorry who are you? If I want them long, I'll get them long, you can't tell me no, I didn't say anything to her I more brushed it off, then she told me if I get them this long she'll charge me 5$ extra, I asked why , she said its more work and product being spend, I'm sorry but I would understand if I asked for crazy outrageously long nails, but I didn't. Then at the end she charged me 35$. I was upset,  I liked my nails but I did not appreciate what she said and how she said it, I won't be coming back, she didn't finish doing my nails till 740, I felt bad that she stayed longer past closing hours so I tipped her 10$ All in all I found it to be ridiculous service here at pl nails. Tried a new place that was closer to home and I can tell you I'm NOT disappointed.   Walked in and greeted by a young lady that was easy to understand, was patient while I decided what I wanted....  I was seated promptly and attended to.   I work 70+ hours a week in an oil and gas company and my job requires I wear steel toes shoes and because I travel so much I'm not able to stay on a schedule to take care of my feet as much as I would like or want. Jenny was awesome she let me change my mind, didn't get frustrated...  She took great are of my feet, cuticles, didn't cut me or hurt me (almost EVERYTIME I get my toes done there's a pinch or even a small cut) she took great care of me....  I picked a design, and showed her a photo, we made a few custom changes, she was accommodating to the little changes I wanted to make.  I can tell you I will be coming back here and because it's close to home I'll be able to make a regular visit!   Thank you Jenny!!!
