Today was my first time having my nails done here. I was extremely disappointed. I came here because of the great reviews and my salon were I normally go was all booked for today and I’m going on vacation tomorrow. I’ve been having my nails done for over 10 years now and this is by far the worst my nails has ever looked. First of all the place wasn’t even full and she rushed through my nails like it had a crowd there. My 10 year old daughter also had her nails done and the guy told me that I should have her cuticles done for an extra $5.00(nothing was wrong with it) I told him no that fine he said well it’s gonna look ugly. Not a very nice thing to say at all. Then I had my phone on the table right in front of me the lady said can you move your phone, not even a please excuse me I need to put the dryer here. They are very rude. I had a refill done with shellac and she did it in about 20 minutes ain’t no way it should be rushed to be done so fast. The acrylic powder is so watery, you can clearly see the line because of it being so thin and watery. Never have I seen this before. She hardly put any acrylic powder on my nails then told me she can’t gurantee my nails only the color uh ok. My normal salon charges $33 for the refill with shellac, here was $38 and not well done at all. Some of my nails looks deformed. I will never be returning here. Ugly colors to choose from. When doing my pedi I wasn't asked how I wanted my nails he cut them super short, which i hate. I chose the hot stones one & he did not put them on but he argued with me that he did and charged me for it. My sister in law even said he didn't do it. Then he kept asking for a tip. First time visit was not good at all. The lady who did my pedicure rushed through the whole thing. Didn’t even put a clear top coat on my toes. Then gave me the sloppiest manicure ever, my nails weren’t even cut evenly. Not the worst, but VERY overpriced. The salon is beautiful and there are tons of technicians. They didn't appear to rush through my fill or my pedicure and the selection of colors is hands down, the largest I have ever seen. The place I normally go to is very small compared to this but that definitely showed me how impersonal places this large are. My nails came out, just OK. I did get what I asked for... But they are different lengths, some are a lot more square than others and they aren't smooth like they should be. I can feel the glitter in the acrylic piercing through the gel topcoat. I won't be returning here again, they didn't really give me a reason to. For all the services I'm paying for today (fill, basic pedi and wax) my bill is $97. I've been going to VIP for the past 5yrs. It was great at first. It is little pricey at this place, but I liked the way they did my nails so didn't mind. Here recently the techs have had bad attitudes and seem to be bothered when I ask them to wear non latex gloves and to remove shellac with foil wrap. They rush throughout the entire mani and pedi just to get to the next client. They don't bother to turn on the message chair anymore. The staff over all just isn't very nice anymore.Read Less

Normally I always feel like they’re rushing just so they can hurry and get the next client seen which is understandable but then it leads to imperfections on the service provided. I will make this long story short. I got a orange stone pedi and I had an older guy to help me with that. He was very experienced. He made sure I was comfortable with my chair massage going, asked me what I wanted to drink. He give me “THE BEST” massage I have ever got, I damn near drooled. Made sure those foam things were in between my toes before he went in on them and they came out flawless. He did a base coat and everything, didn’t really talk, just got to relax... I had the dip powder for the first time, I was told that it would not damage my nails. When the technician was going to file my nail needs I asked him to do it by hand. He said it was faster and promised me no damage to my natural nails. That was a horrible lie, I have so much damage to my nails that they bend and break. I have never had any damage to my nails. It seems to me they' re concerned more on getting as many people through in one day that the quality of the work...my nails look bad and since VIP Nails doesn't take the time to do the job right it is the last time i take time out of my day to spend my money there. Not happy with my nails at all. I went today at 3 and got a manicure. He did my nails too short, he didn't ask what length I wanted, just told me he'd do them "medium", whatever that means. Then, my nails are crooked. I can deal with them being a tad to short, but they're crooked to the point where my nail on my ring finger tucks into my middle finger. Also, the fingers aren't even, like my left thumb nail is way longer than my right. When I asked them to fix them, they told me they didn't have time and to come back tomorrow. The name of this establishment definitely doesn't match the service you receive. I started going to this nail salon about 4 years ago. It was located right outside my neighborhood so it was really convenient. My two daughters also frequented the nail salon with me. My oldest daughter stopped wanting to go to this location about two years ago. (She still gets her nails done, but stopped going here because of the treatment she received). I got a pedicure about once a month and I liked it; however, about a year ago I tried the location that I was taking my daughter to and the service was sooo much better. One of the things that I dislike is that they always have conversations with each other in their own language and it's constant-they talk to each other the entire time. They don't care about servicing you. I would pop into this location occasionally to get my eyebrows waxed because again of it's convenient location. They used to rub your head a little after the waxing. That hasn't happened in about 2 years. Today I stopped in really quick for my eyebrows to be waxed. The place was empty, except for one person. The lady tells me to go to the room and she follows shortly behind, all while she continues to have a conversation with her coworkers in a different language. She then leaves me in the room to step outside to continue talking. She never once asked me about my day. After she completed the eyebrow wax, she said, "ok all done" and she walked out. She didn't put the stuff on that places normally do to help with the sting and she never handed me a mirror to let me see the eyebrows. Yes, you read that right! She never let me see the finished product. The waxing was $7 and she charged my credit card $10 because I didn't have cash. She gave herself a 43% tip and didn't even hand me a mirror. The place is really big and nice. Everyone is dressed very professionally. Their shellac and powder options are INCREDIBLE like nothing I've ever seen. All the tools came out of sterilized bags. Their price is more than I'm used too but I'm from Houston and visiting a friend here. Don't ever see Kelly, she doesn't know what she's doing. All my nails are uneven & way shorter than when I walked in! What was supposed to be a in & out refill turned into a 2 hour sitting! This place doesn't care if you unhappy with your nails. They just want the money! I asked a numerous of times to even them out & less thick. They don't listen. They didn't remove product from my toes after the pedicure before they applied color. I notified them before I left that the color wasn't sticking to the nails. They said I simply didn't let then dry long enough. They fixed the two big toes, but left the others. I noticed an hour later that the issue was with all the toes. They told me to come back, and they would fix them. I was frustrated about the time I had already wasted on the issue, but did go back.The girl they got to fix my color removed the color from 9 toes. When I asked her why she didn't do anything with the 10th toe she said there wasn't anything wrong with it. She proceeded to fix 9 toes. I then showed her the 10th toe still had the issue. She then called the manager. He proceeded to tell me that I needed to let the toes dry. Um, that particular one had been "drying" for over an hour. At this point I began to express my frustration that they simply could not accept they had made a mistake. The manager then said "don't kill anybody" in front of the whole entire salon......are you kidding me? I wasn't even that heated. I just wanted them to acknowledge they made a mistake, and fix it. Now I was completely humiliated. I left without letting the nails dry. Funny thing, none of the toes smudged this time. I must be an idiot who doesn't know when something isn't done correctly....sarcasm.I have gone here a couple times because it's reasonably close to my house.
