I started visiting this spa a few years ago when it first opened and I LOVED it. It was professional, clean, the technicians spoke to you in clear English, they had a huge variety of colors to choose from, and the service was great. They take their time with their services and it definitely shows. I haven't had a better pedicure or manicure in the area. Their nail art is amazing! They always offer a drink, water or something from the bar if you like. I felt like they were going the extra mile that so many other nail salons weren't willing to do. For me, it made them stand out. However, the last several times I've visited the atmosphere has turned from "SPA like" to "CLUB like." I typically visit after work, or on the weekends. Several times over the past year I've gone after work to get a pedicure and as soon as I sit down and relax Kevin ( a young man that runs the spa) will turn the music to some techno/club/rap music and turn it up VERY Loud. All I want to do is relax and enjoy my pedicure, especially after a horribly stressful day at work. It has always annoyed me but I kept coming back because of the amazing work they do. Recently, on a Sunday I went with my 64 year old Mother to get our toes done. While we were in the chairs getting our services, Kevin yet again turned on the rap music (annoying, sigh) but this time it had foul language in it. Lot's of F words. My Mother was so embarrassed and very uncomfortable. He kept turning it up louder and louder. There was also a toddler running around, and many women looked uncomfortable or frustrated. I thought my Mom was going to cry. She said she would never step foot back into a place that would treat their customers that disrespectfully no matter how good their work was.I'm not a prude, and I like to have a good time, nor am I easily offended by much of anything. However, on a Sunday afternoon I'm not looking to party and hit the clubs. It was really bad timing and in poor taste. Is this what a spa looks like that's ran by a 20 year old? Does he not understand that not everyone likes that type of music, that not everyone is comfortable with foul language, that the majority of people on a Sunday are looking to relax...not party. Is this what customers want out of their nail salons? I think he does it to "show off'" or because he thinks it's what the girls want. I'm not sure. Personally I'd rather have good work and feel pampered. It's a shame, because it is one of the best places I've ever been. What happened to good old fashioned spa music? Not sure if I will be returning....I may try other places before coming back. Read Less
