Laura is awesome and so talented at what she does! I've visited Polished a few times now and always leave with beautiful gel nails that last longer then anywhere else I've visited. Laura is a perfectionist and it shows in her work. The salon and the rest of the ladies that work there are warm and welcoming. Update: Sarah from Polished Nail & Beauty Boutique contacted me and asked for an opportunity to make this right. She provided one complimentary mani/pedi and an additional complimentary pedi a few weeks later. On both occasions, the salon was clean, Sarah was friendly, and the work was done well. I appreciate her concern for making this right and I'm changing my original rating to reflect that. I would happily return. Original Post: My friend has recommended this salon twic...e, so I thought I'd try them out via a Groupon coupon for a mani/pedi, hoping to discover a great salon where I could become a regular client. First, they cancelled my appointment a few hours prior, claiming their pedi chairs were broken -- leaving me in a lurch and unable to find a place that could accommodate a mani/pedi before a big event the next day. They said they would give me one free pedi for leaving me in a lurch. When I tried to reschedule, they didn't answer the phone for weeks, and their phone recording always said the mailbox was full and couldn't accept any more messages. When I finally got ahold of someone, she said the phone was broken. I tried to reschedule a new appointment, but no one is available to accommodate an appointment either before (another) big event or before the Groupon coupon expires. I'm a business owner, and fairly understanding and accommodating to other business owners, but this is getting too ridiculous to keep tolerating. I will pursue a refund from Groupon. I cannot rave about this place more ! I absolutely love this salon. Everything from the atmosphere, sanitation and people is more than one can ask for. If you are looking for a quiet salon that doesn't smell like chemicals and has state regulated sanitation, this is it! I have gotten gel nails from several salons in Rochester but this is the first salon that the nails have actually lasted. My last set lasted 19 days! I set an appointment for my daughter and I to have a spa pedicure and manicure today to start our girls' day together. I couldn't have been happier with my choice to go to Polished Nail & Beauty Boutique. The salon is extremely clean but very comfortable. I was offered coffee or water right off the bat which I felt was a nice touch. My appointment was with Laura and my daughter's was with Lisa and both ladies were not only friendly but showed a genuine interest in each one ...of us. It was so refreshing to be able to have an actual conversation with an English speaking nail tech. Lisa took time to add a little special touch to my daughter's manicure by doing a design and I noticed that Laura was very particular while doing my manicure and made sure it looked perfect. Both girls asked at various times if the pressure they were using was comfortable and not too much.
