I've been going to Happy Nails for YEARS! I've spent a LOT of money at this salon and the main reason I kept going back is the convenience and the incredible massage chairs ☺ But the service just sucks! A few of the girls are very sweet, and I'm seriously NOT judgemental or pregudice AT ALL- I realize that their cultural approach may be different than ours and I respect that, but this last visit determined I WILL NEVER GO BACK! I went in to get a pedicure - only the second time I'd been in.. Pedicure started off great until she started to clip my toe nails. She was digging and asking if it hurt and I told her yes and she kept doing the same thing just more gentle I would say. She pulled out a bunch of skin and toe nail that I'm assuming had grown to the side, I'm not real sure how she got that much out but I was bleeding. Both big toes were bloody and my righy pinky toe was bleeding. She just kept on and ignoring my flinching when it would hurt and seemed to grab my foot tighter so I couldn't jerk away out of pure reflex of being hurt. This was on Saturday Aug 26.. Today is Wednesday Aug 30 and my left big toe is so swollen and infected I can barely walk on it. I definitely would recommend NOT letting these women cut your toenails and if they do, make sure they stay out of the sides of them. Read Less

I love this salon I know people have there good days and bad day so people need to understand out there! Like no one know what goes on in their life. I have been going to Happy Nails for 5 years! I have never had an issue with them "convincing" me to do a different nail then what I wanted. This is the only place that my nails last a LONG time. I am the worst about going every 6 weeks. And yes my nails look sooo grown out, but they NEVER lift! Other places I have gone to, my nails would grow out a week later and start getting stuck in my hair. I love this place and will drive the extra 20 minutes from my new house to have them do my nails! Very disappointed with this nail salon and everything that it consists of. They are extremely slow and do not put their customers first what-so-ever. I went in on a weekday, and was the only customer in the salon at that time, however it still took 10 minutes for anyone to start on my nails after she rudely asked me what I wanted done. During the time I was waiting, there were two employees sitting on the pedicure chairs just chatting away, while looking me up and down. When I was finally helped after getting frustrated and nearly walking out of the door, the service I got on my nails was AWFUL. She burned the skin on the sides of my nails (after I already brought the issue up to her once) and made my full set look as if I already needed a fill!! Extremely unsatisfied and will not ever recommend this salon to anyone! All the other nail salons in Midlothian are impeccable compared to this one! Read Less

I walked in at 6:30, and told Kim I had a horrible experience at another salon. I was upset and she made me feel relaxed. She grabbed me a drink, and asked what I wanted. I wanted the almond shape, and she asked to see an exact picture to know the shape. She said there are different looks to along. She looked at the image and mastered the look perfectly.my nails look amazing, I love it 😍 Even though I was her last client, she made me feel relaxed and not rushed. The lady was very nice but the experience was terrible. My sister got her nails done too and told the lady that she wanted them long and was told no because she's "too young". She's 17. I asked for gel nails but kept being pushed to get dip nails and finally ended up just caving and getting dip nails. It's apparent that they're told to try and get people to buy dip nails. They were terribly done and even though I said I didn't want them too long I ended up with super long nails. Asked her to make them shorter and she took off the littlest bit. My nails are bumpy and uneven and look like a child did them. I would never come back here and would never suggest this place to anyone. They obviously have regulars and treat those customers 10x better. My mom was there and waited to get a pedicure while they let 2 people go ahead of her. Read Less

I will never go back to this place.  The last time I went the girl who did my Mani had kids up there and kept having to stop and take care of the kids.  Very unprofessional.  She left acrylic on my nails from me having them done before, barely filed them, she clipped them way uneven and the paint job was terrible.   I could have done a better job at home!  I will not be back to this place! Great service and such friendly staff!!!I was in town visiting family and the girls decided to have a spa date. I'm so happy with the services! They have more colors than I'm used to seeing, they recommend what you need and don't try to up sell you on unnecessary services. I'm also always so scared to try anywhere new. I'm so leery of places and their sanitation techniques. I felt completely safe here. Everything is sealed and plastic wrapped and I witnessed them throwing used items away. Everyone is nice and attentive and the quality of the work is perfect! If I'm ever in the area again and looking for a nail salon I would absolutely come back. Read Less
