I got the worst nail job of my life here. And I've been getting my nails done for almost 30 years, so that's saying a lot. When I tactfully expressed that I wasn't very happy, the tech told me it wasn't her fault. Well it certainly wasn't mine!! After asking her to fix them and her clearly not seeing anything wrong with them, I just paid and left. I didn't even let her finish with the top coat because I knew I was going to have to go home and redo them, which I did... and it was the dip powder, so it took me several hours. I love this place! Reasonably priced and my nail tech always does a great job. Depending on who you get your nails could come out good or bad in my experience. But I always stick with the same person. I get the dip powder and it always looks great and lasts forever! My nails grow fast but it stayed on for a month and a half before I needed a manicure. DO NOT GO HERE! They will change your credit card amount! After getting a manicure, I was told the price would be $40. I paid with a card and tipped $10 on top. When I checked my credit card balance, the amount had been changed to $85. When I called the salon and asked about the changes, he said he was sorry and they would refund my money. 3 days later, the money still wasn't returned. Tbh, there have been a few times here the polish didn't turn out as I would have hoped. But today was great! The attention and detail that Annie gave to trying this new design (with my very short nails), and how well Tina took care of my toes/pedicure was amazing!! I have followed my nail tech here for years since she worked at the mall. She now owns this place and does a fantastic job. She is meticulous and takes her time. It is always a luxurious experience whether I am getting an eyebrow wax, a pedicure or a manicure with shellac. All of the employees here have taken her lead and they are friendly, take a special interest in you and will call you by name! They will make it right if you are not happy. Worth every penny. Wonderful salon! Wonderful people working here! The ladies are extremely nice and attentive. I am from LA and really needed my nails done while visiting family here. It's a cute salon and they are efficient! They did my pedicure and my fill at the same time and did an amazing job in a short amount of time. I walked in and was asked to sign in. I did and a few ladies walked in after me. They were seated in first. I let that slide and picked a color and sat in my appointed chair. After about 15 minutes a worker turned on scolding hot water and left it running. My feet weren't in it but as it almost ran over the tub another worker screamed. They jumped up and turned it off and walked away. I was left with a tub I couldn't put my feet in because it was too hot and it would run over if i did for another 15 minutes before I walked out. Meh...I was in from out of town and this place was recommended to me as I am not familiar with the area...  SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!!!  First I was told to request a specific person, this person did not even attend to me..  They have a menu you can choose pedi options, all a little pricey, but you get extra services, I'm okay with that, however, NOT okay with waiting 30 minutes then have someone else work on my pedi.  If that was the case, why not say so from get go???  Sooo $80 gets you the pedi, stone massage, paraffin, manicure. You want shellac? extra $20! You want overlay? extra $25!  I'm okay with paying a little extra but hello, $20???  3 days later my feet not as smooth as they should be, (I usually pay $60 for shellac and pedi with SMOOTH feet) I don't have bad feet whatsoever and for this much they should be smooth as a baby's bottom!!  I did pay premium for longer lasting polish and I've got to say, it looks like I did my nails myself..  I suck at painting my own nails, this is why I pay other people to do it!  On that note.. It's okay for me to notice how cuticles look blech, polish has flaws (yes I waited till nails were fully dry before I left), but when my bf notices.. I've been going here for over a year, with breaks here and there, and always liked it. I went a couple of weeks ago, and was sad to see the girl I'd gone to all along was gone, so I had a new nail tech. I wanted a new full set of acrylic nails. He didn't replace the paper towel on his station from the person before. Gross. He left my cuticles hanging, didn't file under my nails to clean up the acrylic (grr), and was generally rude. The manager asked to see my nails as I paid and commented on my cuticles not being manicured. She then said, "we'll, it's better not to trim them since they will grow back faster. " mmmmmm....ok. My first time.....and my last time.  I needed a refill and walked in.  I was greeted promptly.  There was only one other customer present who was receiving a pedi.  The girl that did my nails gave me the fastest refill I had ever received.  I was in and out in 35 minutes.  I am not how this happened because she was constantly texting.  I felt like I was an inconvenience to her and she couldn't get me out of there fast enough.  I certainly will not be going back. Glamour Nails is located right next to the Natural Grocer's store off of Loop 250.  On the inside it is set up with tons of brand new pedi chairs, mani tables (with Shellac), and modern drying stations.  The pedicure I had here was on of the best had in a long time.  First, they put some type of plastic liner in the tub of the footbath-which I hadn't seen before-but makes sense to keep things more sanitary.  They give you a pedi menu where there are all different types of scents and services at different price points.  The scents are very calming and natural like rosewater and peppermint.  One of the $35 pedi's even includes a wax soak, which is pretty reasonable.   There weren't as many OPI colors as I would have hoped for, but hopefully as the seasons change they will update the spread.  It would be nice to see Essie colors as well.  The only reason for not giving 5 stars is that there was a little bit of media overload going on.  Two flat screen TV's were blasting, along with some music over the intercom.  Now, I can tune out just about anything, but I know a lot of people want a more quiet environment during a pedi so just a heads up.
